Two men, three women, a toddler and an infant are trapped in an office building elevator on the long Fourth of July weekend. The emergency button doesn’t connect and their cell phones can’t get a signal. These strangers have to figure out how to survive until they are rescued which could be days. What will they eat and drink? How can they relieve themselves? Will they all survive being trapped? No one knows they are in the elevator. Family members contact the police and the search for the missing begins.
Such a warm-hearted, meaningful storyline played out in this quick read. I loved how the characters found positive ways to cope with their potentially disastrous situation.
This is my 3rd read of Susan’s latest published works…..what appears as a normal occurrence in the lives of these characters, turns into a very different kind of ‘occurrence’……..enjoyable on all levels!! With a holiday weekend coming up, it’s time to grab this book and E N J O Y!!
This book tells us how quickly life can change in happenstance meetings and by truly getting to know one another. Very quick read. This book said more in a few pages than most books do in many pages.
