There are three things I know for sure.

One, hot wax on the coochie ain’t for everybody.
Two, diamonds aren’t a girl’s best friend—tampons are.
And three, Tanner Morgan is an asshole.

I’m sure if I hadn’t spilled beer all over him and gave a subtle suggestion of where he could shove his best friend’s dick, perhaps we would have started out on a better note. How was I supposed to know that the dude was the captain of Bradford Private’s precious football team? I had just witnessed my boyfriend three inches deep inside some random girl. Surely you can't blame a girl for word vomit after such a traumatic experience.

King Jock meant nothing to me. He was just some self-important asshole I was never going to see again. At least, that’s what I thought.

When my mom came home and told me we were moving in with her rich-prick boyfriend and his perverted son, I was pissed.
When she enrolled me in Bradford Private and said there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it, I was furious.
But when I found out that Tanner Morgan was my brand-new, motorcycle riding neighbor, I was screwed.

Nobody gets away with insulting the King of Bradford Private, and because of that, I just became Tanner Morgan’s most exhilarating game. He won’t stop until I’ve turned to ashes beneath his feet, but unfortunately for him, playing him at his own game just became my newest obsession.

Bradford Bastard is a M/F, Enemies to Lovers, High School, Contemporary Romance series. It contains explicit sexual content, sexual abuse, graphic violence, drug abuse, and coarse language. This series is recommended for mature readers.

Where do I even start?

Bradford Bastard was all over the place for me. I struggled with it in the beginning, unsure if I would connect with Brielle or Tanner, but around 30% I found myself really enjoying the book. Unfortunately, the ending lost me.

What I liked:
- Brielle, that absolute bamf
- the lipstick messages
- Riley, Logan & Jax, hilarious little h*rndogs
- Ilaria, Chanel, and Arizona, the whole Marjorie & knitting sweaters thing had me rolling

What I didn’t like:
- that ugly cover (now listed as 'special edition'), I almost didn’t read the book because of it
- Erica… fricking traaaassshhhhh for what she did & what she knew
- that last bit with Addie, hospitals have cameras, ijs
- what Tanner did at the end… Like bro, Brielle is also a fricking victim, d_ck
- that over the top fricking ending… it was going so well until that 🙄

Despite my struggling and issues, I do plan on continuing the series because I am invested completely against my better judgment and will

When Sheridan announced that she was writing an enemies to lovers, high angst, high school, MF romance, I SCREAMED YES!!! These are the style books that I love and that brought me back into reading a few years ago. Let me tell you, BRADFORD BASTARD WAS EVERYTHING I NEEDED!

Brielle and Tanner are 🔥🔥🔥 They're opposites in almost every way, but he's met his match with Bri. Tanner is the jock that everyone wants, but once he runs into Bri, everything changes. These two have given me whiplash several times, but when they're together they're 🥵🥵

There's a lot happening throughout this one. I was pulled in from the first page and could not put it down. I was shocked with some revelations and was blindsided by the cliffy. I'm ready for the next one. I need to find out how it's going to be fixed, I need answers.

"It's all rainbows and flowers" Sheridan says... 🙄🙄

I was in the mood for something completely OTT and ridiculous. Sheridan Anne always delivers in that way 😅. I just wish she wouldn’t write every character like they’re middle school boys.

4.5 ✨

This was super funny, I was laughing the entire time I was reading it. But tbh it’s the sex jokes that make me laugh so if you don’t like that, prob not going to be funny to you.

The female mc was well written with a great personality. I’ve read books by this author before and all of her heroines are typically written that way. Which is great bc no one likes the ones who don’t stand up for themselves.

All the characters were over 18, but still in their senior year of high school. Would’ve been better had it been freshman year of college tbh.

I did not like the cliffhanger at the end though, the next book isn’t out for over a month, so mistakes were made not checking that before getting sucked in.

Anyway I’m off to start a diff series by the same author to avoid a book hangover due to the cliff hanger 🤠

Ok, beginning, although tedious to read. Spoiler alert!

The book was a letdown. The beginning of the book was ok, although tedious. The bully is mainly pranking that the male and female characters play, almost like foreplay. I liked that the bully(Tanner) could not victimize Brielle; she always knew what Tanner was up to and bested him. It was refreshing to read about a different type of bully. What I liked about the book was the female character; I liked her sassiness and feisty attitude. Tanner was a total jerk, moody and cute. I liked the secondary characters, especially Ilaria and Chantel. I wanted to learn more about her and Logan. However, moving forward, the reason for two stars, the author writes themes such as drugs and rape. What I did not like is that the author did not do any research before writing the themes as mentioned earlier.
I am a little confused. First, how did Tanner's sister call the brother while being raped? The author wrote that the sister sought help and called Tanner while being raped; Tanner heard the sister on the phone being raped. Where is the phone? Usually, the phone in rape cases is confiscated by the police for investigation. Also, the author did not mention a rape kit done in the emergency room. All rape victims in the ER are subjected to a rape kit, mandatory police report, and investigation. The end of the book was so wrong. What was the author thinking? It feels as if the author wanted to add drama to Brielle to prolong the story with a cliffhanger and slap it at the end without no careful plan. Brielle's arrest for rape charges does not make any sense.
To make matters worse, the author writes that the police have evidence of written testimony; for real, what? The storyline takes different directions. I do not care to read the following book. I lost interest. If I come across book two, I might or might not read it, but I am sure I will skim a lot. I was not intrigued by the ending of the book. I already know what will happen in book two. Sometimes a reader can predict the unfolding of events; however, although it is predictable, I like to continue to read the book to read how the author solves the plot and events or the development of the characters. But with this book, I lost interest. Miss Sheridan, please do your research before writing a book.

First for 2023 🫶🏼

Absolutely loved this book. The characters were so well written and the story line was fantastic. It actually had me in stitches most of the time.

You can’t beat a enemies to lovers romance and Bri and Tanner are just one of the best.

All of the characters in this were equally as good and funny and I love the friendship/family vibe of the rich kid bastards (Colby and Erica can do one though for definite 🖕🏼)

I was not expecting that ending at all and now I need to rush to start the next in the series…💋

Attraction, betrayal, family drama, and secrets - a great start to this trilogy! 👌
The story centers around a strong-willed girl from the "bad" part of town. She and her mom move into a fancy neighborhood with her mother’s new boyfriend and his son. There's an intriguing neighbor, a new school, and all the challenges that come with starting a new chapter in life.

Packed with humor and drama, it’s highly entertaining! Loved it 👏.

Just lost steam halfway through. I thought about just plowing through it but then thought about my boss who gardens and told me she used to try to save plants that didn't do well but then realized there are a lot of plants out there. That she would be better off to direct her energy elsewhere and just rip the plant out and go find a better one. I thought "Well, there are a lot of books out there waiting to be read. I better budget my time more wisely."

What a powerhouse opening to this series. Sheridan is one of my go too authors and damn this series already has topped one of my favourite reads of the year!

Holymotherofdarkness the ending... my heart is in my throat. I literally feel my heart shattering!!

THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST CLIFF HANGERS EVER!!

Tanner has absolutely reached in and stole my heart. He is ruthless and fiercly protective and he is a friggin GOD. I am fully drooling.

Brielle is a queen in herself and her sass makes her one helleva a firecracker and i am friggin for it. She takes no sh*t and she handles herself with pure and utter class & sass.

The girls and guys are absolutely everything you'd want in friendship goods and the drama that fills this book is heart wrenching. Plus each of them bring a personality to the book. HOLD UP THE Ryder brothers were mentioned 😍😍

This book is absolutely gripping and i know for sure this is gonna be a POWERHOUSE series!!

Sheridan Anne is the motherfrigginqueen with her series!!

Annihilated, Melted, and an endless fall

M/F, enemies to lovers, high school bully romance but so worth it

shockfilling apprehension but fulfilling storyline

Reactions:
Hair gripping
Face scrubbing
Tortured screams
Full on body rocking
Crying on my knees begging

The tension between Brielle and Tanner is so palpable it takes over everything. It’s not just the frustration but the bickering, the strong af characters, the take no shit fmc, the never back down mmc, and the audacity to have so many shocks sprinkled throughout the entire story.

From chapter one there is humor and captivating discomfort. Trust me when I say it is so worth reading this high school romance.

Brielle is such a strong character who doesn’t back down no matter how terrifying the possible outcome. Her bravery is inspiring and it’s just icing on the cake that her nickname is Bri. 😜

Tanner is a strong dark broken jock that is just trying to get through the crap that happened 5 weeks ago. The layers of himself that were revealed has us falling for this alph-hole. So protective but no one else can mess with her.

They are toxic but what high school romance is not. This is a series that I can’t wait to be finished.

Be prepared for the Queen of cliffhanger to take it to a whole new level of destruction. Off a cliff, she pushes, into an endless fall.

WTF did I just read?

First, reading about barely 18 yr olds that already have an extensive sexual history skeeves me out. Also, H is a foul-mouthed jerk, so is male H, reasons for them hating each other is dumb. Plot could have been good but it was drawn out for skeevy teen sex scenes. The whole Jensen thing was f’ed up. No reason this ends without resolution, it’s not even a cliffhanger.

This book was literally everything I love about this authors writing! Strong female character check ! Jerk alpha hole with serious issues but has a softer side check ! A storyline that sucks you in right from the start and doesn’t let go till that shocking ending check ! All the banter between the characters and the chemistry between Brielle and Tanner was on fire I loved all the one liners and tricks these two played on each other this book definitely gets my five star approval and I’ll be not so patiently waiting for the next book because excuse me ma’am that ending!!! My mind is blown! Jeezus she knows how to leave us on a brutal cliffhanger! The twists and turns everything that was going on all the drama oh my word this series has been all I can think about since it ended! Definitely recommend!

4 vibes stars. This reminded me of the enemies/bully/private school reads when I first got back into reading romance. Good banter between the FMC and MMC. Drama, friend groups, family and found family. As well as suspense/ secrets, football and racing /motorcycle components.
“I lean, you lean”

Dual POV
Low spice.
High tension
New adult romance.

5 star queen!!

Sheridan keeps writing hit after hit!!! If you’ve been a long time fan of hers this will give you all the feels and reminded me of my first series I read by her, Aston Creek High, which I loved. Brielle is hysterical but the toughest chick around & determined to do the right thing when put in tough situations. When her mom moves her into a new house and school, little does Brielle know she’s moving in next door from the golden boy she made an *enemy* out of at a party beforehand.

The enemies to lovers/bully vibe is stronggg between Tanner & Bri but I am here for it! The chemistry between these two could set a fire and you don’t want to miss out on it! Bri broke up with her cheating boyfriend from her old school before moving but he just doesn’t want to let go. There’s so much more involved with the cheating ex that unravels along the way while Bri & Tanner fight their feelings for each other. Tanner has been hiding a secret that can impact them all and once Bri finds out what it is she’s determined to help him but the cliffy Sheridan left us on leaves that to be determined 😩

Oh Lordy! What did I just read????!!!!!!
Sheridan Anne is back with a new series and this first novel is epic.
The first chapter had me in absolute stitches laughing. Hot wax and vag lips pulling off. My husband thought I was insane because my giggling was so loud.
Sheridan Anne has this wonderful ability to have you laughing one moment, then swearing at the kindle the very next. ❤️
Brielle and Tanner are fire hot. Their sexual tension could melt an iceberg.
But one character boils my blood….Brielle’s mother. Read the book and you’ll see why.
Can’t wait for book 2!

I found Sheridan Anne’s books back in 2021 and I haven’t been obsessed ever since. This author can’t write a bad book, I swear. This book was a little different from her other books, but still just as amazing. Her words are addictive and once you start reading it is the type of book you can’t seem to put down. I couldn’t help but fall in love with each character.

Brielle was thrust into the elite lifestyle after her mother hooked up with a rich lawyer. She is a fish out of water at her new high school and is considered the girl from the other side of the track, she is rough around the edges and is feisty, snarky, full of sassy and she’s strong and extremely relatable. She’s dealing with an ex-boyfriend that is a complete douche bag and if anything good comes out of being at this new school, it’s that she no longer has to deal with that sack of shit anymore. She definitely knows how to stick up for herself and she proves that consistently throughout the book

Tanner is the complete opposite of Brielle. He is struggling with a lot of things that have recently happened to him. He’s a very dark, and broken but strong. He’s a bit of an a-hole… then add in his protective side…and I couldn’t help but fall head over heels for him. I’m a sucker for a possessive, protective alphahole.

I’m not going to go into much more detail but I will say… Brielle and Tanner are TOXIC, but it’s the best kind of toxic. You can’t help but keep reading and as toxic as they are you can tell they are meant to be. The chemistry, the push and pull and the top-tier banter between the two of them were addictive to read. I ate it all up! I couldn’t put it down!

And as always, the queen of cliffhangers leaves us on one hell of one and my god, I wanted to scream!

Definitely recommend giving this book a read! It’s an incredible start to what promises to be an amazing series!

5 STARS!

Sheridan has me. Hooked, line and sinker. Her new adult writing is so addictive and I am binging the heck out of this trilogy!

- New Adult
- Senior Year
- Opposites Attract (rich boy / poor girl)
- Enemies to Lovers
- Next Door Neighbour
- Mystery

Brielle has grown up with a father who ran out on her mum, herself & her older brother. With this, she has learnt to adapt & grow quite quickly. She values friendships and honesty. Which is why when she finds her boyfriend in bed with another girl - She dumps him within 2 minutes. Much to his dismay. With her dating world turned on its axis, she comes home to an announcement from her mum that her new "rich" boyfriend has offered for them to move into his mansion & send Brielle to wealthy private school for her senior year. Bri is not thrilled. And she is even more not thrilled when she finds her mum boyfriends mansion, is next door to HIS mansion.

Tanner is the bad boy of the wealthy elite school. He is one of the favourable football players, as well as one of the "popular boys". He has a good network of a friendship group around him that have his back no matter what. But with a family secret, he finds himself more keeping to himself then letting anyone know who he truly is. Until a feisty girl moves next door who he suddenly can't get enough of.

Tanner & Bri start off as enemies. Tanner doesn't want anything to do with Bri, especially as she use to date his enemy. But when he finds out his enemy, is also now her enemy. They find mutual ground that opens up a door they both were trying to keep closed.

But when Tanner's family secret comes to light, Bri may be involved in it more than she ever wanted to be.

4.5/5 stars with 3/5 steam.

DNF 55% (spoilers and trigger warning)

First off the names were terrible!

My last straw was when Brielle was defending her ex boyfriend when tanner told her, her ex drugged and raped his sister...

“I know him, he wouldn’t do that” ..

He cheated on your ass, spread rumors, and tried to gaslight you.. and so many other things. You sure you know him? I was actually shocked when she was defending him especially after she was coming for her mom earlier on saying you need to believe the victim and stuff like that.

Tanner was also totally wrong for asking her why her legs weren’t spread out for her boyfriend because if it were he wouldn’t have gone for his sister.. like what???

I also thought the whole reason he did that was because tanner fucked his sister?? So how come it’s Brielle’s fault for her disgusting ex boyfriends actions?

I couldn’t stand the way they were talking about Brielle or girls in general, I’m used to books like these talking about girls in only a sexual way but like how you treat you mother with respect but out here talking about girls like that?? People say you’ll know a man is good by the way he treats his mother. Well men can deceive you!

I also can’t stand when the characters talk about something serious then all of a sudden they gotta say or think something sexual or when something sexual happens and next thing you know they’re talking about someone who’s in a coma.. it’s weird and awkward.

After insulting him at a party Brielle finds herself living next to Tanner Morgan, when her mum moves them into her new boyfriends house.

Brielle Ashford is a serious firecracker. She doesn't give a shit. And she takes the challenge of a new school for senior year, and her rivalry with Tanner in her stride. She matches him strike for strike and he loves it.

Tanner Morgan, captain of the football team and on the surface all around asshole. But scratch the surface and he is much more than the image he puts forward. I loved seeing his development through the book, and discovering who he really is.

I love Bri and Tanners rivalry its hilarious. Their chemistry is amazing, two sides of the same coin.

The friendship group in this book is amazing, their relationships with each other are so brilliant, and the banter is perfect. I laughed out loud so many times.

This is definitely the beginning of another amazing Sheridan Anne Series. And of course she left us on a BRUTAL cliffhanger as we would expect from her. I am desperate for book 2, I need to know how she is going to fix this mess.

Bradford Bastard releases on the 7th June, and believe me when I say she really has outdone herself with this one 👏👏👏

There are three things I know for sure. The sky is blue, the grass is green and Sherdian Anne knows how to write a BADASS female character! Holy hell, these characters, this story, that fucking cliffhanger - GAH!!!

I was laughing uncontrollably by page 3 and had to tell anyone who would listen how freaking hilarious the "great lip incident of ninth grade" was. Way to suck me in from the start!

Brielle (aka Killjoy or Killer) and Tanner's story has a ton going on in the best way. They definitely play games with each other and they're entertaining as hell. Their pull towards each other is palpable.

I. CAN'T. EVEN. WAIT. for book 2!

Favorite Spoiler Free Quotes:
“Don’t make me knee you in the balls,” I warn him. “It’s a cheap shot, but trust me when I tell you, I am not above taking it.”

“I’ve seen how easily you drop a guy, Killer. You’re brutal. You’re not the kind to sit back and take it. If someone swings at you, you swing back with twice as much force.”

I knew Killjoy had balls; I just didn’t realize they were this big. She’s a little spitfire and I fucking love it. Fucking with her is going to be better than I imagined. She just made this the most intriguing game I’ve ever played, and she has no fucking idea.

She fucking played me just as I was trying to do to her, but unlike never before, she bested me, and I don’t know whether to fall to her knees and worship her or make her pay.

Tanner Morgan—ten out of ten, highly recommended.

I’m starting to feel like a broken record, but I can’t even seem to care because everyone needs to know … @sheridan.anne.author writes one HELL of a book! She’s back at it with a new MF high school bully series and she absolutely slayed it yet again!

Bradford Bastard brings us Brielle, snarky little ball of badass who’s going through all kinds of changes - breaking up with her cheating ex, mom uprooting her to new town to live with her new BF, and a whole new school full of rich kids to kick off her senior year.

And let’s not forget, her new neighbor, who she’s already had a standoff encounter with. Tanner Morgan, the perfect football god, bad boy asshole you can help but love just as much as you hate.

These two square off in a battle of wills, pranks, and snarky comebacks that eventually leads to pealing back each other’s layers and finding out they have more in common than they originally thought. Plus, their sexual tension is through the ROOF and I’m never saying no to that!!

In the words of Brielle, this book is “Intoxicating and irresistibly delicious in every possible way.” I dare you to grab this on KU and not get sucked in! And consider this my full obsession declaration for Tanner … you lean, I lean 🥰
