The Living Water

Wholesome Christian Romance

When Cameron Frierson was eight-years-old, he had a vision about a well containing the living water. Since then, he has wondered what that dream meant and how it plays a role in his life and his purpose from God.

Now Cameron is a college student going on his first missionary trip to Peru. At first, the trip seems worthwhile, but things quickly take a turn when a terrible bus crash leaves him stranded in the Peruvian wilds.
Stuck in a foreign land, surrounded by strange people, Cameron finds his faith and his grit being tested. But after a series of events, he begins to believe that maybe he isn't stuck at all. Maybe Peru was part of God's plan all along. Besides, if it weren't for the bus crash, Cameron wouldn't have met the beautiful woman named Saloso, a member of the Sand Ribbon Tribe and the person who rescued him from the bus accident.

As Saloso nurses Cameron back to life, he starts to wonder if there is a connection between his childhood vision and the people of the Sand Ribbon. Was he brought to Peru to bring them the living water? Or do the indigenous Peruvians have living water to offer him?

Enjoy a journey of faith and self-discovery as Cameron learns what it means to trust in the Lord at all times—especially in times of trouble. This is a clean and wholesome Christian romance for Young Adult and Adult readers. Recommended age: 15+

4.25/5 🌟

I just finished reading this beautiful book, and I can't wait to share it with my friends! It’s perfect for Christians who crave a little romance but want to keep things wholesome—no explicit content here. What I appreciate most is how deeply rooted the story is in biblical truths.

The character development of Sunny and her entire tribe really struck a chord with me. The theme of not fitting in resonated on so many levels, and I loved how each character leaned on God, realizing that it wasn’t about conforming to the world but about discovering Him instead.

I do feel like Cameron's emotional journey could have used a bit dialing back or more exploration at times, but his character still managed to capture my heart. Overall, I’m excited to buy my copy and recommend this book!

I enjoyed this story about the living water that lives within us. There are several inconsistencies within the story, however. They do not take away from the story, but they did make me scratch my head. There are points in the story that are distracting from the main point. The climax is anti-climactic and although the main point is reached. It is hidden in the subtext, which for someone not as familiar with the Holy Spirit will not find the message of this story. For the reader out there, this story is another angle or message for the women at the well.

Current timeframe
Hidden Peruvian tribe, unknown to the rest of the world

This book started off interesting. Honestly, all of it was fairly interesting. But about a quarter of the way through I realized this was not written for my age bracket. Target audience should be teens or young adults.

Too many things about a people who had not been around civilized society….ever… were unreconciled with the language they used. Having learned English they spoke it perfectly with some current “American” wording this tribe couldn’t know. Remember, this is Peru!

I really do think teenagers would enjoy this book as it’s creative. Also it’s very clean and the faith aspect is clear throughout.

Undeniably 5 Star

When you're reading an ebook, you cannot go back to look at how names are spelled when the review thing comes at the end of the book. So, please forgive me for misspelled names.
This is a book I highly recommend!
Cameron goes to Puru on a mission trip - never expecting to end up in a primitive, forgotten tribe - alone.
Saved by Solonos, hated by the chief, resented by one of the warriors - unable to leave...
God had plans for him and the tribe that none could fathom.
This is a story of relationships, hardships, and seeking hearts.
Very good book!

Long, repetitive, interesting

While the story line was interesting, it was toooo drawn out, key issues repeated over and over, scenes or dialog included that did nothing to add to the story. The most annoying experience reading this was the lack of character development. You never feel like you know any if the characters and their behavior or dialog was basically interchangeable.

Started out really well, however; after the first section lost the reality of the story. The symbolism was consistent but the believability dwindled to nothing. I read it to the end but frankly the last section was a waste of time.

Really enjoyed this book

A simple story about two completely different worlds crossing paths in a twist of fate. Easy to read and full of biblical stories that are good reminders of the greatness and goodness of God.

I loved this!!!! What a an amazing Christian fiction which teaches and shows all about being guided by the Holy Spirit. I was obsessed with the modest romance in this book as well. Some holes in the story line nothing big just small ones so that’s why I gave it four stars!
