Outlaw loves his life with his club, spending his days and sometimes nights working his magic on his computers for his club. He hasn’t thought he needs anything else. Or at least he didn’t until he lays eyes on Tarin with his club brother, Bear. The attraction is instant, and so is his anger. Bear has an old lady. Why is he with another woman?
Assumptions are made, things are said, only to find out Tarin is Bear’s daughter. The daughter he never knew he had. Outlaw wants her for his own, but she’s resisting him and he doesn’t know why. He’s determined to break down those walls she has around her heart. He will find out what it is she’s hiding.
Tarin is shocked to find her mother’s journal after she dies. The journal that tells her the man she thought was her father wasn’t. She sets out to find her real dad. All she wants to do is meet him. She never imagines what it will be like entering a motorcycle clubhouse. She gets to meet her dad and his new family. Also, she gets to meet a man who fascinates her and scares her to the core.
Outlaw can’t be deterred and she can’t seem to resist. However, she’s got scars she keeps hidden, and he’s trying his hardest to know what they are. She’s too ashamed to ever tell. Only Bear and Outlaw won’t leave it alone and when that secret comes to light, they may just lose her forever. Only there seems to be someone from her past who knows the truth and is determined to make her pay for something she didn’t do. It leaves her having Outlaw and his club to fight for her. A betrayal close to home is discovered. More ugliness is discovered. In the end, all they can hope is that they’ll come out on the other side intact and that she’ll forever remain Outlaw’s Jewel.
An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.
I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!
My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.
I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.
Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
I really loved this one. It was amazing. I fell in love with Tarin in the last book and I'm thrilled that she and outlaw got together. I can't wait to read the next one.
Outlaw made assumptions the day he saw Tarin walking out of Bear's room. At the time he had no idea that Tarin was actually Bear's daughter, no one even Bear knew about her. Since then Outlaw has been wanting to get closer to Tarin, but Tarin is determined to stay away and leave. Outlaw has other ideas though and when he gets his chance he takes it, the only problem in their new relationship is that both Bear and Outlaw want to understand Tarin's past but what if Tarin doesn't want them to know?
This was another great one in the series. This was a bit darker then the other books, Tarin has a horrid past filled with deception and cruelty. I liked Outlaw initially you want to smack him upside the head but he redeems himself. I thought their chemistry was off the charts.
I liked this one, but the first 1/3 of it was a repeat from Bear's book, with very little new info. Once we got past that things picked up for me. I hated hearing about what Tarin had to live through, but loved that everyone in the club backed her and that they showed her in many ways. Also glad that the threat that was coming at Tarin was taken care of, leaving it so that she could live her life happy and with Outlaw.
Tarin & Damian’s tale was not for me. I found Tarin’s character annoying and her continued reactions to everyone unlikable. Seriously every single challenge placed in front of her character she does two things 1) Gets irrationally angry 2) Immediately runs away like a child
I get this is supposed to be a driver in the plot but at 40% into this book I was ready to tap out. Finishing this book was a lot of skimming because I found the main plot point to be predictable, unbelievable, and uninteresting.
Damian’s character was lacking as well. He was incredibly boring to read about. Frankly not questioning the mental health of a loved one that literally rammed her car into an immovable object putting herself into coma? No one thought maybe she should get psychiatric help prior to releasing her from the hospital? That is not a healthy reaction to trauma response. Your club literally runs a womens shelter with mental health professionals & no one thought to sit Tarin down and have at least a strong conversation about her lack of self awareness? His mother ended her own life after being traumatized by his father. Nope no hard talk / intervention. Let’s just discharge you and act like nothing is wrong.
The storyline regarding Tarin’s stepfather and his band of ghouls isn’t worth writing about. This book is entirely based on one of the characters childhood traumas and not in anyway healthy. Her mother is the worst characterization of what a mother can be. Tarin while financially able and aware enough of her trauma gets zero professional help. The love interest comes from a family of abuse and no professional help. I can’t with this book. This is a big NO for me.

There were misunderstandings from the moment they met until everything was cleared up. Outlaw will do anything for his brothers and their ladies, so when Bears long lost daughter comes to meet him, he makes a mistake and takes her to his room to talk, big mistake because his lady comes to get him to take their daughter to the hospital, and blows. When she does this and runs thur the club, everyone stops and looks, what they see is Bear come running out to explain, and his daughter Tarin, hiding behind his back. Outlaw takes his lady to the hospital and can’t stop his distrust of Tarin being known. They finally get it straightened out, but Tarin doesn’t want nothing to do with Outlaw at all and is cautious around the rest of the club also. When Tarins past comes back with a vengenous , it will take all the club to take the threat down and to protect her. Along the way her and Outlaw figure out that they care for each other and soon find a love worthy of the Crown Jewels.
This is book six and I am reading this series albeit out of order, accidentally. Let me say what I liked first because I did not like what happened in a scene of this book that was hypocritical. I liked the two lead characters Jewel and Outlaw. I also like that all the brothers, wives, children, and other allies were a part of this book. This added to the depth of the storyline. Bear was lied to and in this book we find that he had a child from a previous relationship who is Tarin aka Jewel. Well everyone is shocked. In addition, Outlaw say Jewel and he felt some kind of way and is determined to woo her. There is danger still going on with Hamilton and a new enemy. Now what I did not like from this author in this particular book: I am a bit disappointed in how the bunnies are written and characterized at this MC. I am a fan of the MC romantic books and my thoughts about bunnies and their worth has grown. Not all bunnies have to be horrible people. They serve a purpose, a valid purpose in any MC universe. Sure you might need some bunnies to be bad or villains that’s fine and makes for good plot. However, the rest of them can be good characters and support the MC in various ways in addition to the adult fun. In one of the scenes where the brothers start spewing that no one wants someone who has slept with all their MC brothers, I cringed and was shocked because that was some straight up hypocrisy. These men, MC Brothers Archangels, are supposed to be held in high esteem because they are about rescuing women who have been physically abused, trafficked, violated multiple times, kidnapped, or worst. Some of these MC Brothers are now married or have old ladies that have indeed been had by multiple people, villains, or evil doers. Disappointed in this book and lowered the rating by two stars.
We all wanted to know what was going on with Outlaw and Tarin in the last book. Well, we got what we asked for...and it was decent. Not quite what I wanted but decent nonetheless. There was to much recap at the beginning, though I did enjoy Outlaw and Tarin's perspectives. I also wished we would have delved more into Outlaw's background. Like, he seemed like such a cool character in the earlier books, and he just ended up being a carbon copy of some of the others. Sigh. Tarin had a fantastic backstory, but she ended up having the same "flight problem" of all the rest of the women in this series. One thing goes wrong and BAM, outta there. And it goes on throughout the whole darned book. It's cool here and there. Not for the whole book.
Outlaw has computer skillz. Because going to a four year college for computerz allows you to hack anything. Just ask anyone. When Bear's mysterious daughter pops into the club, he's smitten but also cautious. He immediately begins to check out her backstory and in doing so, ticks her off with his assumptions. They are like fire and water for a while until he is finally able to show he is definitely interested in her--not just as a sexual partner but as someone he wants to be with forever because every single one of these bikers in the club do love at first sight. lol However, Tarin has some issues from the past that haunt her, and it gets even worse when those scars she thought she buried literally come back and try to harm her. Will Outlaw and the club be able to stop it in time?
Tarin found her mom's diary after she passed. Apparently, Tarin's father isn't her father. A biker guy named Bear is her father. Cue the Jerry Springer Show. It doesn't actually matter anyhow. Her horrible fake father is dead. So, Tarin goes to biker father's club to at least meet him with no expectations of having a relationship with him. She just wanted to see him. However, this sets off a chain of events, and now she's apart of his club, is becoming friends with his fiancée, and has a sister and soon to be sister. Plus, there's this biker guy who is getting on her nerves. Outlaw. He's hot, but he awful. He wants to dig in her past, but sometimes the past needs to stay buried. And if it doesn't? Well, there are consequences...
I liked the book overall and thought the pacing was good, but there was a lot of repetition on some plot elements. I've also noticed that the guys in the club are almost carbon copies of themselves and the women aren't too far off. I did like the topic and thematic elements in this one--probably the best of the bunch for this series. The book was extremely hard to rate given some of the elements were SO GOOD and others were...not. I'll go with a four because I think the overall very good storyline towered above all the rest of the issues.
Love and trust above all, even secrets Outlaw’s Jewel (Hunters Creek Archangels Warriors MC Book 6) by Ciara St. James is another adrenaline fueled MC romance. This particular book has more on the line than just the romantic interest of the main characters, but also the building relationship between Tarin and Bear as new found daughter and father. This book is as heart wrenching as it is heartwarming not to mention plenty of steam. Outlaw and Tarin get off to a rocky start and have bouts of miscommunication, misinterpretation and a multitude of utter stubbornness. Ms. James has the stubborn alpha down to a science (and we love it when they fall, grovel and take care of their ladies!). But the heroine in this book, Tarin, has a whole lot of emotionally painful baggage that constantly feeds her own brand of stubbornness. The plot is wrapped around Tarin and her past (her secret) and as this couple, along with her dad and the MC as a whole, rally around Tarin with love support and above all protection. Overall, Outlaw and Tarin’s pursuit of their undeniable attraction and ultimately love, is a whirlwind within a tornado. These two are thrown about but come out of all the adversity stronger than ever. The HEA is a wonderful bonus, beautiful and absolutely just right. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
I loved this romantic tale about Outlaw and Tarin. At first she was antagonistic toward while for him he'd instantly fallen in love with her. Although she had trust and abandonment issues she slowly started to give him a chance. One thing you can count on with a book by Ciara is that the couples will have several hot, steamy, delicious, and passionate scenes. Their road toward happily ever after is not a smooth one; there is angst and misunderstandings. Another thing I love about her books is that there is never any cheating. Someone from Tarin's past has contacted her and becomes an unknown dangerous threat. Of course the club has her back in the situation. As always you are sure to get your happily ever after moment in the author's books. I cannot recommend this book enough. With that I am off to read the next book.
I couldn't have been more thrilled that we got Outlaw and Tarin's story so quickly! Tarin coming into Bear's life and stealing Outlaw's heart in one fell swoop started their romance off with a bang. Both of them have a temper, Outlaw and Bear make a huge mistake and Tarin pays the price. Her past is a dark place with secrets she wasn't ready to share yet. Outlaw is lucky that her feelings for him were strong enough to give him another chance. Fortunately, he knows he messed up and sets out to earn her forgiveness. Tarin really comes out of her shell and finds a warm and welcoming home with the Warriors. Outlaw and Bear learn their lesson, grateful for Tarin and her presence in their lives. Another fabulous couple from this talented and prolific lady, 6 stars for Outlaw and his Jewel!
The basis of the stories are so repetitive that you know their moves, dialogue and communication blunders. All the author needs to do is insert new names and a swift change of plot. The main female consistently misinterprets what she sees it heard and does her running away trick, while the main biker stupidly messes up by being seen with a club bunny (quite innocently as it turns out. ) Everybody loves everybody else! You wouldn't believe the story is about bad ass bikers. They all nod in agreement, hiss and curse at the correct times when told bad news about one of the old ladies and assemble without complaint just to hear one of them is pregnant.
Outlaw had been hooked on Tarin sInce the day she came to the compound and introduced herself as Bear's biological daughter, along with proof. The rest of her traumatic story came out through outlaw's computer work, and hiring the same PI, who was in the previous story. When she discovered that not only had Outlaw done this, but it was with Bear's insistence, she lashed out and tried to leave the compound, and hitting the gate built to withstand that very thing from an enemy. There is a lot of tense time as she's air lifted to a trauma center. It really is so full of tracking down hidden enemies, and blackmailing sickos, and of course more trouble from a Bunny. They finally have their HEA wedding and honeymoon. Such a great story!😍😘. Trish. A.
Outlaw & Tarin's story really was hard one to read at times my heart breaks for all the Tarin's out in our world who have been thru what she had growing up! Ciara really has touched on some topics in her books that sometimes are hard to fathom happens but it does & kudos for her for shining a light on some darkness that happens in the world we live in to bring awareness and hope that there are humans who are survivors & can overcome the darkness and for those who Commit these evil acts will ultimately pay their price one way or another!
Outlaw's Jewel is book 6 in the Hunters Creek Archangel's Warriors MC written by the talented author Ciara St. James. I am a huge fan of this author and I love ALL her books. Loved Great characters and wonderfully written. Love Damian 'Outlaw' & Tarin Jade Mercer story!! They get along great and once they're honest with each other, they make everything work out amazingly. It's got a plot that will have you turning pages and you are going to want to know what happens at the end and who's really the bad guy.
Outlaw’s Jewel is the sixth book in the Hunters Creek Archangel’s Warriors MC series and follows Outlaw as he pursues Tarin, who was introduced in the last book, and tries to prove to her that he’s now a one woman man.
This book had another good story with characters that I found interesting and really came to like as I was reading. There’s a bit of darkness behind both of the main characters in this book but I liked that they found a bit of light in each other.
Overall, this was a good book with a story that I enjoyed. I would recommend giving it a read.
Outlaw is the computer guy for the club. Tarin just lost her mother. She finds out that her father is not her real dad. So she goes out to look for him. She goes to the club and explain to bear that she’s his daughter. Outlaw walks in on them and Assumptions are made. He tells her off so she runs away. Now she’s kidnapped and outlaw will do anything to get her back and explain. Hate to lovers. Good book.
I don't know how she does it but this author has a way of transporting you into her book. I would think by how many she has written that the plots would overlap but they never do it's always something new and brings you to the brink of tears makes you want to stamp your foot or just cry out in anger. Each character is so thought out and well written that they leave a lasting impression on you.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. This was a book of compassion, kindness, protection, understanding, betrayal, and being there through the good and the bad. I enjoyed Outlaw and Tarin story. The author did a great job putting these characters together. She had trust issues and Outlaw was there for it all, her dad as well. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Outlaw is so hot!! It took Jewel alittle bit to give Outlaw a chance she definitely had some trust issues but he never gave up on her! Once these men decide they've found their women it's full speed ahead they won't give up until they have her. Ciara is such an amazing author if you haven't read her your definitely missing out!! If I could I would give her ten stars 🌟
Long lost daughter finds her dad and the man of her dreams
If you enjoy a man with a body to die for and an intelligence to match you will love this hero. Add to this a beautiful sassy young woman in search of the father who never knew about her and an MC full of awesome people and you have the perfect book. Love this entire series ...each one is better than the last.
Outlaw & Jewel went throuh a rough time especially Jewel's childhood. But they made it together. Only thing that irritated me was that the Carriabean honeymoon , Tahiti is NOT in the Caribbean , its in the Pacific, I live in New Zealanx & Tahiti iz only a few hours aeay by plane. Proof reader ....
This is the sixth book in the HCAW series. It is Outlaw’s and Tarin’s story. Train came to Hunters Creek looking for her father. She found the love of her life and family. She also found trouble but with the help of the MC and their Allie’s she was saved.
I love Ciara’s books. I’ve read several from all her MC. This one spent a lot of time reiterating Bear’s book, and when the book finally focuses on Outlaw and Tiren I was about ready to DNF this book. I’m keeps reading so I could move on to the next book in the series.
Outlaw and Tarin have an INCREDIBLE story!!!! This couple is so awesome together. We’ve kinda known something was brewing with them from the last book and here we get their full tale. These 2 sweet souls make their way to a fantastic HEA but only having traveled through many twists and turns. Page turning story with a great plot. LOVED IT!!!!
Another amazing book by Ciara St James. Loved Outlaw & Tarin books. Tarin was introduced in Bears book. She is Bears long lost daughter. You’d have to read that story to find out the details. But as soon as Outlaw saw Tarin he knew she was his soul mate, his old lady, his forever.
Read Outlaws Jewel to find out about Tarin. their future.
I really enjoyed this romantic story about Outlaw and Tarin, a beautifully crafted story of love, trust, and overcoming past issues. Ciara's books never disappoint, always delivering steamy scenes, angst, and happily ever afters without cheating. This one's a must-read!
I enjoyed the book overall. My only issue and its all me not the books, is the miscommunication that could have easily been resolved if they just sat down and spoke to each other. Great book.
This book is awesome the author always makes you feel like your right there in the book or wishing you were. This author is great and has series that you can not wait for the next one
Outlaw and Tarin are made for each other. Trouble follows these women and their men help to squash it. Lots of ups and downs for this couple but found their HEA.
Tarin found out after her mom passed away that the father she was with was not her biological father, and went searching for him and Bear was pissed to not only learn that he had a daughter years ago, but that Carol had lied to him and he thought he was sterile. Outlaw was in love with Tarin immediately, but he and Bear screwed up by having a PI look into some things that were not adding up, and discovered things that she would have eventually told him and this caused a major ruckus in their lives. Also one of the club bunnies, April just knew that Outlaw would fall for her and marry her, so she decided to kidnap a pregnant Tarin, but Tarin was a lot smarter than her. A few other twists and turns throughout. Happy reading.
