I received a complimentary copy of this novella from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
While this is a part of a series, you don't have read the prior ones to enjoy this on. I personally haven't BUT the first one in the series appears to be very short and free so I'm going to start it now.
This novella is a short one but it really brings the different emotions to the surface. It has been awhile since I read a PN romance and I had forgotten the insta-love between fated mates. This story did not disappoint in anyway.
What do fated mates do when he is married to a human who is pregnant? How to overcome that sense of betrayal along with a second betrayal within 24 hours? From where did this second betrayal come from? Will these two get their second chance with their fated mate? Well you will have to read for yourself.
This is a spicy read.

Angie first saw Damon when her sister was getting married. Despite the fact Angie knew Damon was her mate, he was already married and his wife was pregnant. Her father sold her to someone to pay off a debt. Angie left and came back only to help settle her parents’ estate. Damon had come back too but Angie thinks it is too late for them. Can Damon convince her that she is wrong? Can she accept that love is always worth another chance? Will she finally get to bond with her true mate?

Cute, but…
I realize that a lot of the reviews are very positive, and I agree. My real concern is that this guy had so little concern for his fated mate that first, he got a human pregnant and was second, forced to marry her. Third, she actually passes away after 20 years but he doesn’t bother to even try looking for his real mate. So fourth, he does nothing for another 10 years. This guy couldn’t be bothered…
KU read, fortunately. Written well but the concept wasn’t strong enough for me.

This was a fun fast read that had quite the back story to it. A fated mate already married to someone else, dismissive parents and a string of human boyfriends really soured Angie to all things love. Thankfully, Damon followed his instincts and returned to their home town at just the right time ;) What followed was a time of bantering, healing and explosive love. This story was entertaining with lots of side characters and hope for the future for all, making it a great finale :D
