Ex-Green Beret Jake Zimmerman’s Georgia mountain seclusion is shattered when the one woman he should never have left, pregnant Kiera McNeill, shows up on his doorstep. Her life is in danger, thanks to a botched Morpheus Squad mission. If the nature of her baby is discovered, evil forces will stop at nothing to capture Kiera. When Kiera learns of Jake’s top-secret Morpheus Virus running through his veins, she realizes that her protector is the deadlier threat.
Kiera knows the secrets of Fallen Comrades, a billion-dollar “charity” which siphons donations away from wounded veterans and into the pockets of power-hungry CFO Beau Lequire. Now her sadistic ex-boss, Lequire, wants revenge. Her only chance of escape rests in the lethal hands of the man who once rejected her: Jake. All she needs to do is suppress her feelings for Jake long enough to destroy Fallen Comrades, stay alive, and save her baby.
Award-winning and bestselling author and physician Jillian David quickly writes then slowly edits medical romance, paranormal romance, and romantic suspense books. She loves to use medical situations and characters to drive drama in her books. Her favorite cell is the platelet and her least-favorite organ is the pancreas. She fully believes that curse words, when appropriately deployed during surgery, are hemostatic. Which also explains why no book of hers will ever bleed out...
According to multiple starred reviews, Jillian's books cause sleep deprivation and a drop in productivity, as well as visceral responses from her vivid descriptions -- side effects which might qualify as a breach of her Hippocratic Oath to 'do no harm.'

Fallen Comrade is a book written by new-to-me author, Jillian David and wow! I was blown away. I love romantic suspense and the more action an author throws in the better!
This is a well-written story that brings together two people who were grieving the combat death of a family/friend. Kiera, whose brother was killed in combat, and Jake, who served with her brother on that same mission. Not having seen each other for several months, Keira shows up on his doorstep - wounded and very pregnant. Using his training as well as the benefits of a top-secret military team, Jake and his fellow veterans / security ops team are able to protect her, though the bad guys certainly didn't make it easy.
This book is action-packed and full of tension and romance that kept me turning the pages. I can't wait to read more books by this author and hope there are more in this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Interesting premise. A little bit paranormal and a whole lot of action suspense. Kiera and Jake have a history. They grew up together but Jake was very good at walking away when the going got uncomfortable. Now Kiera is messed up with so really bad people and needs his help.
Loved the banter with these two although I didn't like that Kiera wouldn't just override Jake and tell him about the baby. Loved the rest of the Morpheus men as well. Looking forward to seeing where this group goes. The bad guys are still out there so you know there is more suspense to come.
Great start to a series.

I really thought this book would be for me. The blurb captured my attention, but sadly, I couldn’t get into this one. I even tried skipping around and still couldn’t get into it. Not sure why - just not the story for me.
Fallen Comrade, Project Morpheus Book 1 by Jillian David, Narration by Tiffany Morgan I won this audiobook. I have been watching this book for a couple years. The first time I saw it was when it was a preorder. Then last year I saw it but there wasn’t an audio. This year I won an audio copy from the author at a book event. I was sooooo excited. I mean the blurb was totally ME!! I downloaded it and jumped in. The story is about Jake and Kiera. They have a history to put it mildly. He must save her since she found out some bad things about some bad guys. We meet Jake’s military team who are all infected with the virus that makes them kinda “hulk” out in a way. LOL I mean they don’t turn green but they get BIG MAD. LOL The audio for the book was good. It wasn’t the best, but it was far from the worst. The narrator did a fine job reading the story but a couple times when she was “Jake” the voice was Kiera and vice versa. Nothing terrible and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story. Now the story. I understand this is the first book in a series, so I give it time to explain people, situations, etc. However, I felt like this book was REALLY slow to develop with a lot of repeating information from different POV’s in the same scenes. SO that did become a bit tedious for me, but I did stick it out and continue to read. Jake has so many issues he needs to pull a city bus behind him. The man was infuriating with his push and pull to Kiera. I was like DUUUUUDE. But Kiera was too soft hearted to me. I was like GIRL!!! They have history with having dated in high school, being her brother’s best friend, and then a little oppps that created the “little bit” in her belly. I did enjoy the story but it was very slow to go and I felt like it stayed pretty slow going. There were a few days I set the book down and walked away for a day or two. The love story has intense scenes that were great when Kiera and Jake weren’t fighting. The concept was interesting, and it did make me push through to continue the story.
Jake Zimmerman is ex Green Beret and volunteered for an experiment, along with his brother in arms. Now he has a virus coursing through his veins and it’s hard to keep his “monster” leashed. If the government ever finds them, they will be put in cells and experimented on. He hides in the woods, in seclusion until the one woman he thought never to see again, shows up. Kiera McNeill shows up bleeding and pregnant. Kiera and Mateo, former Special Forces with Jake, have been undercover at Fallen Comrades, a place that helps veterans and the cause of her brother’s death. Her and Mateo have teamed up to get revenge for her brother’s death. But they find out they are spying on them and Keira runs to Jake and Mateo is killed. Jake realizes it’s time to rejoin his team and the owner of Fallen has found them and tries to capture Keira. They need to get to the compound and get the guys to help him protect Keira and the baby.
I believe this is my first time reading this author but definitely not my last. This story has action, secrets, a little steamy, and muscled up guys. Forced proximity. Jake has a habit of walking away when things get tough. Keira is tough and will do whatever is necessary to keep her baby safe. Can’t wait to read the next one. Not really a cliffhanger but the storyline continues in the next book.
This breath-stealing, action and adventure was an amazing rush! The super soldier plot was done well and as good as any enhanced super soldier story out there. I swear my heart was pounding more than once. Kiera was a strong, if a little naive heroine, despite not having all the facts- I think there were some common sense consequences to her actions that were glaring. But the biggest reason for the four stars was Jake's psychotic bi-polar episodes! It was all about him- and the things he said to her near the end.... I wouldn't have been able to forgive for a very long time! He got off way too easy. And lastly, there were a few plot holes that I had a problem with, ie: they stab the bad guy in the heart expecting one result and then say the guy survived? Huh?! There's others too. Anyway, after that rollercoaster ride I do plan on reading more. I recommend this book. It reminds me a little of Lora Leigh's "Breeds".
Fantastic impossible to put down intrigue book. I loved Jake and Kiera and baby. Some neat tips on pregnancy. Best of all is the fast paced and heart stopping action, and impossible to put down!
A new series from a writer that has quickly risen to my top favorites, and this time around, military romance is in the cards! I've had the paranormal-demon course, then the cowboy one, and now it's time for hot military men to carry the torch!
Jake has made many mistakes in his life. This is primarily the reason why he's become a hermit. But when one of those "mistakes" comes knocking on his door, he knows he will either have to man up and help, or move on with one more regret n his arsenal. Kiera is pregnant, scared, and alone - the only one who can aid her now is the man she never got over. The same one who seems to want nothing to do with her. Will they be able to work together despite their past? Or will their common enemy catch up to her and endanger not only them, but the whole Morpheus Squad as a result?
Honestly, at this point I know what to expect from Jillian David. Great build up, sizzling hot scenes, tension - both sexual and not. And of course great dialogues, suspense and fast-paced action. I know all this and still manage to get blown away by how well written is each story, and all the new things she keeps bringing to the table.
This time around, I enjoyed a group of military manchildren - because that's exactly how most of the Morpheus Squad behaved. Stumpy and his toys, Rodeo and his quips - Rodeo's bromance with Gonzo... It was a delight to watch, and every time they would freak about Kiera's pregnancy needs, it was just too adorable to see. (by the way, nice going with Stumpy, had me fooled there with the way he was acting at first)
And yet they never stopped being hot, and trying their best to help Kiera and the situation. And when the time called for it, when they put on their "killer machines" attitude... Ooof, not getting there, the hotness reall got to me!
What I particularly liked was the villain in this series. This writer has a long history of making compelling and scary BBEGs, but usually the heroes have to deal with otherwordly dangers. This wasn't the case. Beau was scary, and he was no demon or shadow monster. He was a flesh and bones man, unhinged and with no morals whatsoever. This is not new in literature of this kind. What was new was the way he was presented. The psychological torture, the intensity of fear in the air, so thick you can taste it - that's Mrs. David's specialty. I don't think I'll ever get tired of saying how much her words can make me freak out and tremble in my seat.
The man who always had to be in control had lost all restraint. This line was what did it for me. I was scared for MY life. God damn, it was terrifying! Because the meaning behind those words was everything! Almost all the characters in the book struggle for control, the same way Hulk or Dr. Jekyll do. And here was Beau, willingly losing it - a man who was already on the brink of insanity by his own volition, now letting go of human limitations. Just imagining being in the same room as this dude makes you want to run.
The only downside was maybe Jake and his back and forth. Not to say it wasn't understandable, only that I kept feeling sorry for Kiera, and like the Rodeo-Gonzo duo, felt the need to defend her. The way the man was losing the war against his wants was beautiful and heart-breaking, and let's be honest, HOT, but sometimes he put his foot in his mouth and would try to deep-throat it...
I can't wait to see what will happen next! I'm invested in all of the guys! Even Hunt and Curly! Oh, and Doc, don't get me started on Doc! Though something tells me the next books will be about Kiera's sisters, if the foreshadowing was any indication.

FALLEN COMRADE is the first instalment in Jillian David’s contemporary, adult PROJECT MORPHEUS slightly sci-fi, erotic, romance series focusing on a group of former Green Berets and Black Ops soldiers who had previously volunteered as subjects in the US government sponsored Project Morpheus, meant to create an army of super soldiers. This is twenty-eight year old, Jake Zimmerman, and twenty-six year old, CPA Kiera McNeill’s story line.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Jake and Kiera) FALLEN COMRADE follows the second and third chance relationship between Jake Zimmerman, and CPA Kiera McNeill. Ten years earlier, Jake Zimmerman and Kiera McNeill were high school sweethearts but a pregnancy scare sent Jake on the run, where he would enlist in the military to escape the memories of what was and what could have been. Fast forward to present day, a very pregnant Kiera, the woman Jake hasn’t seen in several months, not since the funeral of her brother Brady. Brady had been investigating a group calling themselves the Fallen Comrades, a group Kiera and Brady would discover was a front for fraud and nefarious purposes. Hoping to gather information Kiera, and Jake’s Special Forces teammate Mateo, would go undercover to ferret out any and all information about the Fallen Comrade organization but all does not go according to plan when Mateo is killed, and an injured Kiera goes on the run to save her life, and the life of her unborn child. With only one person in mind, Kiera searches for the only man she has ever loved, a man who is constantly on the run when the going gets tough. Enter former Green Beret and Special Ops soldier Jake Zimmerman. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Jake and Kiera, and the fall-out as Jake and his team find themselves the target of the Fallen Comrade organization, a organization hoping to take control of Project Morpheus, and the group of men calling themselves the Morpheus Squad.
Jake Zimmerman has lived under the radar since leaving his teammates behind in the Morpheus Project. Volunteering to become part of the government experiment Jake and his fellow Special Ops soldiers become something they no longer recognize, something that must be controlled before it’s too late. With the arrival of Kiera, Jakes struggles with his attraction and love for a woman he is doomed to fail, a woman who knows more than anyone could have ever imagined.
The relationship between Jake and Kiera is one of second and third chances. Jake is constantly pushing away the woman he loves but with a target on her back, Jake and the Morpheus Squad must work together to protect Kiera and the child Jake believes is fathered by someone else. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.
We are introduced to Jake’s teammates and fellow Morpheus Squad members: CO Hunt, Gonzo, Rodeo, Stumpy, their physician Doc, Curly, Pele, Rivera and Red, as well as Beau Lequire, the son of Senator Lequire, the man controlling the Fallen Comrade organization.
FALLEN COMRADE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, grief and struggle, love and forgiveness. The premise is intriguing, captivating and somewhat familiar; the characters are powerful, determined and charismatic; the romance struggles in the face of what was, what is, and what may never be.
Jillian David is a new-to-me author, and I was so intrigued by the synopsis of this novel, listed as a romance, that I requested an advance reader copy, but this novel is hard to classify--it's a highly original, paranormal, second chance, romantic suspense novel on steroids, and it kept me turning pages until dawn, and it gets 5 bleary-eyed stars from this reader.
Keira, the heroine, is on the run and pregnant. Her brother, Brady, who was in Special Forces was killed. She's being looked after by one of this comrades, Mateo, and the two are working to bring down a phony wounded veterans charity she and Mateo have been working for under assumed identities, run by the son of a powerful U.S. senator. But somehow, their boss is on to them and Keira manages to escape with a thumb drive, Mateo is killed when their house is bombed, and thanks to his directions and her eidetic memory, she manages to turn up at the secret and secure hideaway of Jake Zimmerman, her late brother's best friend, who was also once his teammate in Special Forces, and she's about to get them into more trouble and danger than you can possibly imagine, all because of something called Project Morpheus.
Jake's and his teammates all volunteered for the highly classified project, which involved being injected with the Morpheus Virus, designed to alter their DNA and turn the already highly trained and fit soldiers into ultra-fit, bulked-up, super killing machines--the ultimate warriors, except there's a catch--while the experimental virus did do what it was intended to do, the genetic upgrade didn't have an off-switch, and the virus continues to work, causing the men to go into hair-trigger, manic killer-mode at the slightest trigger if they aren't given regular shots of an antidote to slow down the process. They've all gone into hiding because the government wants to reacquire and study them, turning these skilled warriors into human lab-rats.
The men who were given this viral upgrade were advised to get vasectomies, since no one had a clue what would happen should they father a child post-inoculation, but Jake attended the funeral of Keira's brother before having the procedure, and although he's in denial, and assumes that the fetus Keira is carrying is Mateo's, he's in for a rude awakening.
Jake and Keira were high school sweethearts, when she became pregnant with his child in high school--she miscarried, and he joined the military. Later, his marriage to another woman he impregnated and dutifully married, ended when his wife also miscarried--he's a runner, and Keira is a strong enough heroine to finally call him on it--and that's just for starters, in this high-tech, thrill ride of a novel, which is also the first novel in a new series, and it's a series I'll be following, because Ms. David has serious wiring skills, and quite an imagination, and each and every one of the men in the Morpheus Project are going to have to deal with the aftermath of this experiment. Frankly, I can't wait to read those upcoming novels.
As stated, I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.
Jake is a runner, not in the literal sense, but whenever anything gets difficult he runs away from it. His marriage ended with a miscarriage, instead of trying to help his wife through a difficult time, he ran…..
Soldiers enhanced with a drug (they also need to take another shot regularly to keep the violent urges at bay!) to aid in their fight against the enemy. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but Jake has a terrible time keeping control, he’s volatile and dangerous to be around.
Kiera and Jake have been friends for years, Jake and her brother ? were friends in school, then they joined the forces together. Kiera and Jake were an item in high school, and when she thought she was pregnant (but later found out she wasn’t) Jake panicked, he could’ve help but be relieved when Kiera told him she wasn’t. Again Jake uses the excuse he’s not good enough and leaves Kiera! Meeting up ten years later at her brother’s funeral, Kiera and Jake seek comfort from one another. But again Jake panicked and ran…..
Kiera’s pregnant and needs help. But the only person she can turn to might not want to help her, in fact he could be more dangerous than the person she’s running from! But she doesn’t really have much choice, does she?
And the first meeting between Kiera and Jake doesn’t really go to plan! He’s all for trying to offload her onto someone else! Then he notices the baby bump!
There are other characters in this book which are part of Jake’s team (and I’m hoping will get stories) 😉 which give both camaraderie and a few light moments.
I loved this book, it did remind me of another authors work (Christine Feehan her Ghostwalker series) where soldiers are enhanced to become super soldiers, but any similarities end there. It’s a fast paced action and adventure book. A really good plot with scope for more books. We have evil in the shape of Beau Lequire and the company he uses to hide his nefarious activities behind! I have to admit I wasn’t a big fan of Jake at first, his self pity and ability to just walk away from problems did grate a little, but getting to know the character through the book did have me softening up to him. Kiera is just great. Strong, resourceful and clever. Her only weakness…. Jake! How she forgave him so quickly did annoy me just a little, but you forgive the ones you love.
I’ve read this author a while back (Hell to Pay Series) and loved that series immensely, so when I found out she was publishing a new book, i made a note of the date. And I’m glad I did.
If your keen on romance with a big hit of action/suspense/adventure, then I can assure you this book is the one you’ll want to read.
A military experiment gone wrong.. well maybe not wrong for the ’givers’ but definitely bad for the ‘takers’. Those Special Forces are strong men already. What will happen when injected with a virus giving Superman type strength?
A pregnant woman running for her life. She knows too much. A wanted poster has her name all over it : Dead or Alive…. Nope, she is wanted DEAD and she has the bullet holes in her clothes and fresh shrapnel embedded in her flesh to prove it.
Fooling around with DNA is a tricky thing. It can make a real Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation. And the ‘takers’, those brave military men, have little choice or control now that they are infected.
And just because she’s pregnant, doesn’t mean Kiera is not dangerous. Revenge is a very powerful tool. When push comes t shove, she’s a take no prisoners type of woman. And a really important piece in her toolbox is an old high school flame who happens to be injected with the Morpheus Virus, which can make him trigger happy.
Now, throw in a shady Fallen Comrade organization, the Almighty Dollar and whistleblowers, then lives are expendable.
So, if you like action, drama, and revenge, alongside suspense with some hopeful romance, I’m guessing you will love this book. Just know, not all land mines are explosives. There can be some even more dangerous. It’s not always easy keeping Mr Hyde locked away.
👁⌃👁OBSERVATIONS;
✒︎ We didn’t get to meet Mateo, but boy, we sure got to know him.
✒︎ Put a bunch of Special Forces on a mission and let’s just say you DO Not want to get in their way. And the battlefield? It’s not always overseas, it just might be closer than you think … unraveling wrongs in the homeland. And never forget, some orders can be given from the grave.
✒︎ How, just how, could Kiera be too tired to leave that fateful night? She KNEW how dangerous her enemies were! She would have had an adrenaline filled body and could have ‘collapsed’ AFTER she and Mateo got away.
✒︎ Project Morpheus… just how far would the creators of this experimental virus allow it to go? Or maybe the better question is, can it even be reversed if they tried? Is there a cure somewhere out there? And, will the men injected with Morpheus become its creators’ worst nightmare?
✒︎ This is the type of book that holds your interest through the very last page.

I absolutely loved this book! All the men dealing with the Morpheus Virus had me enthralled and wanting to know more about how the virus effected or enhanced each of the members. I really hope we get to see more with these team members and their fight to live in the now with the virus and maybe even finding more women to love them for who they are.
Kiera and Jake have a history that goes all the way back to high school. From first loves to heartbreak, losing friends/brother, and heartbreak all over again. However, now Kiera is in a position where she needs Jake's help. Only Jake can't help on his own. He'll need the entire squad together again to help protect Kiera and maybe take down Fallen Comrades, a billion dollar "charity" that is responsible for killing now two of his 'brothers' But every time Kiera and Jake are around each other feelings always seem to arouse. Hence, Kiera's current state... Jake isn't one to stay around though. When things get serious or he gets scared he runs, always has. Now being stuck with Kiera he's forced to confront his feelings. Will he be able to see past all of his issues and see the future he could have with Kiera and his baby?.

This is the first book I have read by Jillian David but I don't think it will be my last! Jake is an ex-Green Beret who is hiding out on his mountain in Georgia. Kiera is the woman he left behind. But now she needs his help in order to keep not only herself safe but the baby she is carrying as well.
I really liked this one! I am a paranormal junkie when it comes to books and this one has enough in it to suck me in and make me want to know more. There is a lot of action and adventure involved along with a mystery virus. These two not only have a lot history but they also have chemistry. Jake has a lot of issues but Kiera is strong enough to not only call him out about them, but to force him to face them and actually end the cycle. He makes a lot of assumptions and at first I was iffy on if I would truly like his character. But I am happy to say, I definitely did! Not only that, but you throw in the side characters and I am left hoping for books for all of them as well! If you are a fan of Dogs of War series by JM Madden, then you will like this book as well!
Do you like books that contain the following? Second chance, military heroes, secret baby, conspiracy theories, protective alphas…just to name a few? This is probably the book for you. And while Fallen Comrade seemingly has all of the tropes, the author weaves the story in a way that they all come together nicely…with just a hint of SciFi in the form of a government sanctioned weaponized virus. That turns soldiers into super warriors. In the middle of this is very pregnant Keira, who runs to Jake when her mission to avenge the death of her brother takes an awful turn and now she’s being hunted by the men who killed him. Jake broke her heart years ago but is the only man who can keep her and her unborn baby safe. The story has amazing angst, adventure, suspense and just enough steam to make it a real page turner. There’s also a lot of open plotlines involving her sisters that make me think we haven’t seen the last of this crew!.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book. Jillian writes incredibly interesting characters in situations that keep you reading late into the night, even if you have to work the next morning. This book is the first in a new series and there are so many interesting characters that I can't wait to see which one she will write next. Personally, I hope it's the 'survivalist' sister and her protector.
I don't want to give any spoilers, but you need to read this book. There is good vs evil, slightly awesome and terrible super strength, and a sweet yet tough heroine. A heroine on the verge of delivering a baby which might turn out to be the future hope for her family.
Excellent start to the series! This is a new author for me. I really enjoyed reading this. It has all the ingredients to keep the reader hooked from start to finish. The characters are amazing and the plot is very interesting, with twists, lots of action and just the right dose of romance. Kiera is a woman who takes risks, and seeks revenge. Jake struggles with his past and a present that he can't always control. A surprising pregnancy, a love story looking for a second chance. Secret experiments, a corrupt government and a team of Special Forces stronger than ordinary. These are some of the topics that make this story simply captivating.

Kiera McNeil is pregnant and on the run. She’s running straight to her ex-boyfriend, the very man who is famous for dumping her not once but twice! Boy, I tell you, Kiera showed a lot more patience with Jake Zimmerman than I would have.
I must say, this book was non-stop action and romance, with plenty of suspense. You’ve read the blurb, so I’ll get straight to the review. First off, the author is an excellent writer. I really enjoyed her voice throughout the novel, especially how she let the two lead characters, Kiera and Jake, take the reigns and narrate this story for readers. Well done. She really brought these two alive and they jumped off the pages.
The synopsis was unique and interesting, and convinced me to give the book a try despite it being outside of my normal preferred genres. I felt that the writing was overly descriptive and used analogies excessively which made it less enjoyable to read. The progression of the story also felt slow and I wasn't willing to continue after reading about 15% of it, as almost nothing had happened and I found myself bored. There were no special secrets or twists or moments I was eagerly waiting for, nothing making me want to keep reading as everything seemed like it would unfold as expected. Wow. The blurb for Fallen Comrade is what caught my attention, and man I was not disappointed. This was a very fast paced book full of action & suspense. Jack & Keira dated in high school, Jack being best friends with Keira's older brother. They reconnected at Jack's funeral then Jack left. These two are both dealing with loss. And Jack has decided he is best off alone. When Keira shows up at his home bleeding and very pregnant. This was such a great book. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for more!.

This is the 1st in a new series, and this is Jake and Kiera’s story. Jake is an ex-green beret, who is a runner when things become difficult, and is enjoying the peace and tranquillity of his mountain seclusion retreat. Jake peace is shattered when a pregnant Kiera arrives on his doorstep when her life is in danger. Can Jake protect and keep Kiera safe, or will he run again? This is a well written action-packed story, with an intricate and in-depth storyline, and is filled with suspense, danger, twists, secrets, family, adventure, and is an unpredictable and thrilling page turner. This is the first book in this series, and I cannot wait to read more from this series. It is an intense read, but very good. Jake's world is disrupted when Kiera shows up at his house and tells him that she is running for her life, and one of his friends is dead. When her trouble comes to his door, he will do everything to keep her safe.

Let me start with I had never heard of or read anything of this author before finding and reading Fallen Comrade (Project Morpheus 1) I was reminded of season 1 of the TV show 24, everything was thrown in to produ e a great show. The main characters had been through a lot both together and separately, and came out the other side better for it. I hope there is going to be a additional books in this series, as I will certainly wa t to read them.
Though it took some serious concentration to actually understand what I was reading, it ended up being a real roller coaster ride. The emotional toll on each man goes through pulls at you. The mission & trials that Kiera goes breaks your heart. So worth the HEA they get. Fabulous read!.

Jake's life takes a turn when Kiera a woman from his past shows up on his doorstep seeking protection. When the villain shows up will Jake be able to keep Kiera safe? This is the first book in the series, and it looks like it is going to be good!

Loved this story and entrance to a new series. It’s an intense military romance with a lot of action and diverse characters that I can hardly wait to get to know better. And Jake and Kiera? The tension between these two is off the charts and perfect for the intensity of the story. It’s a high recommend from me.
