This was a short sweet romance with a white billionaire, Julian Zima who sees a black cafe owner, Luna Clark, and immediately falls in love with her.
The very short book was unusual in that he just saw her and fell in love. He continued to come to the cafe even after he found out that she was in a relationship with a man, Edward, who was scum. He led her on for nine years and dropped her when she told him she was pregnant. He was cheating on her with another woman and got her pregnant.
Julian was there throughout her pregnancy and even moved her in with him when she became ill. He was with her when she had her baby and professed his love for him. She couldn't accept that he loved her. She though he was just overcome because of the birth of the baby and moved back to her home.
After a month apart, misunderstandings were cleared up and of course they got their HEA!
I enjoyed the story of Luna ( I liked her name, not commonly used in stories) and Julian a very wealthy man who started coming into Lina’s cafe for coffee. Luna was able to build a friendship over the years and Julian became comfortable in sharing . Luna was with a guy for 9 years and didn’t want to to I guess rock the boat as to wear their relationship was going. He gave her the big lie that he wanted to make partnership in the law firm he worked in before having child. As I read the story I began to ask myself why would Luna keep allowing her boyfriend to make her uncomfortable in coming to his office when she had prepared a nice meal to drop off to him. Anyway I became suspicious of him and sure enough what I though was occurring. Read to see what happens.
This is a wonderful book with wonderful well-rounded characters. Definitely 5 stars! Julian is the man of EVERY woman’s dream but he only had eyes for Luna. Edward, Luna’s ex, was a giant piece of garbage. He tried to make her angry or jealous but Julian had a better one for him! I wish there was an Epilogue to let the reader know the rest of the story!
The thing about this is they have a great platonic friendship, I like that, but they seem very immature when it comes to communicating about how to have a real relationship. Too much doubt on both characters part.
Luna and Julian were friends and she was already in a relationship for 9 years but the idiot left her pregnant and was cheating on her but Julian was there to get a through as well as being in love with him too.
