Glad I found this book during my hospital stay! Very good read!

One of the most impactful parts of this book is the section on gentle parenting. It highlights a parenting approach that fosters mutual respect and emotional intelligence while ensuring children understand boundaries without fear or shame.
A key takeaway is that gentle parenting doesn’t mean a lack of discipline. Instead, it encourages kind but firm guidance, ensuring children feel secure and understood. The book also challenges the misconception that being gentle leads to losing control of children. Instead, it shows that kindness strengthens trust.
I especially loved the advice on commenting on the deed, not the child. Teaching kids that mistakes don’t define them promotes self-worth and resilience. Additionally, modeling self-kindness teaches children compassion for themselves and others.
This section beautifully reinforces that effective parenting isn’t about control—it’s about connection. By embracing gentleness, respect, and understanding, parents raise confident, emotionally intelligent children.

Needed in todays youth

This book does a great job showing what is needed to provide loving discipline. In today’s society true right and wrong is a little blurry. This helps set guidelines to impower parents to correct, love, redirect and deliver consequences to raise well adjusted kids

Loads of useful tips

I'd recommend this book to parents who need a structured and varied understanding of child discipline. Teaching your child to buy a train ticket is especially useful.
