Rate this book

He might just be the Christmas gift she needs to heal.

Sarah Nash has no time for romance. She’d been emotionally scarred from her last relationship and has just managed to pay off the mountain of debts she was saddled with.

Now all she wants for Christmas is to rediscover Christmas joy—no love in the equation, and what better place than her hometown Dexington where she recalled spending the happiest times of her life. She is determined to stick with her plan and not even a chance encounter with Phillip—billionaire hospital heir and inventor, and the town’s most eligible bachelor—can change her mind.

Until she discovers he is the boy she kissed in high school.

Phillip Dexington is finally about to launch a new medical device after having his last invention stolen by his former girlfriend and sold to his archenemy. He’s determined that nothing must go wrong this time around—which means avoiding a relationship at all costs—and is content with spending Christmas with the children at the orphanage.

But when Phillip runs into Sarah Nash, the girl who stole his heart in high school, his world flips upside down. She’s only in town for Christmas, and the time before the launch party is Phillip’s only chance at determining if she is the one.

Will they open their hearts to the fullness of Christmas and give love a second chance, or will their trust issues rob them of a happily ever after?

This is a sweet/clean emotional scars Christmas medical billionaire romance with no cliffhangers and a guaranteed HEA.

Cute

It was very cute. Though the characters and the conflict were more real, the pacing was off and I find it wierd that they get engaged after a few days...

Usually when I get a box set from one author I don't read all of them at once, it has the tendency to get old. However I didn't find that with this set. Each story has unique characters with a whole different set of troubles, issues, work arounds and stolen hearts. Yes it's clean and sweet but it's also all around good reading. I love that by the end of the set you feel a kinship with each of the couples. There isn’t any preaching but these couples do not deny their belief in God. I really enjoyed each one.

Her Billionaire Inventor - Both have had relationships that ended badly and are a little gun shy. I love how creative he is with ways to win her heart. I love that they have a past that gives him the need to get closer. He pulls out all the punches and two that have all the reasons to stay apart find even are reasons to look deeper. These two will win your heart because they both are the kind of folks you want nothing but good for. You'll feel their connection and yearn for their hea.

A sweet romance well written short second chance romance. Both Sarah and Phillip have neen burned and are broken from past relationships. Neither wants or are looking for a relationship but are reunited at christmas and their connection is still strong. They both have trust issues and insecurities that cause hurt and confusion. The characters are relateable and strong with a cast of great secondaries adding another level of enjoyment to this sweet clean romance. A great standalone with an unexpected twist and wonderful ending to start off a great series. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC.

Her Billionaire Inventor is the story of Philip and Sarah who have both been betrayed by former loves. This is a story of growth as they each have to get past thinking that everything is a betrayal. The story concerns their growth as they learn to put past hurts in the past. I loved Philip's parents who arrive at the end of the story. This is a sweet, clean Christmas romance that should be enjoyed by everyone who likes Hallmark movies.

This was a very simplistic & cliche filled story. The broody billionaire who’s been burned at love once before so is now all about work, the doormat that comes back to her hometown & finds a spine, and their instalove that leads to an engagement in less than a week. The characters felt very one dimensional & bland. I was hoping to be surprised when I read this but this was a waste of time.

2.5 Stars

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book, but it quickly fell into overly familiar clichés. The pacing felt uneven, with a strong start that didn’t carry through to the end. Unfortunately, the resolution left me disappointed.

The story seemed to go in circles at times, and I felt there were many opportunities to explore the complexity of the characters’ relationships or add more depth and twists to the plot. Instead, it remained simple and predictable, without any major surprises or impactful moments.

That said, it’s a sweet story that might appeal to readers who enjoy straightforward, feel-good romances without too much complexity. For me, though, it didn’t quite deliver the substance I was hoping for.

Ok-- I am a sap for happily ever afters and this is one in spades. Poor girl returns to her hometown in time for Christmas to stay with an old friend for a bit when she gets into a parking spot war with an old pick up truck. Turns out that old pick up truck belongs to an old friend that she knew as a child before she had moved away. He is an inventor of medical equipment but back in the day was a nerd in her class that she befriended. They reunite. Friendship quickly turns to love and what can I say?? Had trouble putting it down!

Good book

Sarah Nash returns to her hometown and quickly has eyes for a local hunk. She doesn't realize he's the town's most eligible bachelor and also a millionaire. Both Sarah and Philip carry baggage and fears from past relationships that threatened to destroy their blossoming friendship. Will love and trust overcome?

A Good Read

I really enjoyed how relatable these characters were. The fact that our heroine had gone through some things only added to her depth. Naturally, our billionaire was handsome, charismatic but still had a heart of gold made him all the more loveable. I'd recommend this book.

Misunderstandings galore

Phillip and Sarah had many misunderstandings due to previous toxic relationships. They worked them out as they got to know each other and finally learned to trust each other without the baggage from previous circumstances. Humorous, with kind hearts they're relatable characters. Good read.

Sarah had finally finished paying all the bills caused by her ex boyfriend.

When Phillip couldn't pay for the things at the grocery store she thought she learned enough about him! Coming back to a place of good memories was the first step from her past. And the future was looking kind of bad.

Second chance love

What a lovely story about 2 people who have a second chance at love. Phillip had saved Sarah's life as a child but then she had disappeared from his life for many years. They meet again by chance and the chemistry is still strong between them. They fall in love and have their happily ever after.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: friends to lovers, insta love, Christmas, billionaire

Both Sarah and Philip are broken because of previous relationships and do not want to deal with a new one. But that changes as they spend more time together during Christmas.

I didn't think the action was rushed at all and it's a quick read, about an hour and a half to two.

This story was so cute! I felt like the struggles that they faced felt realistic and manageable. I love a reconnection of love for characters, but I do wish we got more insight about what Sarah was going to do after getting married. She had her job and whole life back in California. It was a perfect ending, I just wish her side of things was slightly more detailed.

This one wasn’t really for me. Everything moved way too fast—like, blink and suddenly they’re engaged after only a week of knowing each other. The characters felt really simple and didn’t have much depth, so it was hard to connect with them. And honestly, some chapters read like they were written by AI—kind of flat. Overall, it just didn’t click for me.

Festive Romance

It's Christmas and after a nightmare period in her life, Sarah returns to Dexington to try and regain the happiness she felt there as a child. Philip remembers her as soon as he sees her, the only girl he ever wanted.
Festive activities, in an orphanage no less, and a rekindled love that needs to overcome existing biases.
Enjoyable.

Classic Storyline

Nice characters that make you feel like this would be a second chance romance. Then the author drops a twist towards the end that you never expect and you almost want to reread the book just to see how you missed anything. Great story for the feel goods.

Nice

I enjoyed the characters, both been through a lot, both determined to succeed, both have grit and a giving heart. I enjoy stories where people give to others without thought of personal gain. It was a good evening's read.

Give your readers some credit

Very simple, yet stilted writing. In fairness, it may be the wrong genre for me. Could be, it’s intended audience demographic is ‘young adults.’
If so, that explains a lot.
It’s not what I was looking for.
