Green Sky At Night
Green Sky #1
Jennae Vale
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Danielle York was on an trip that gave you the real pirate experience on a ship to the Bahamas. Next thing she knows she hears a loud boom and is toppled from the back of the ship into the ocean during a Green Sky. She falls right into the arms of pirate Captain Jemeson Mackall. She mistaking believes that the ship and the crew who rescue her are also on an authentic pirate cruise. The poor girl is in for a shock when she comes to realize where and when she really is. Now she has no idea how she got there or how she will be able to get back again. Now all she has left is to trust in the people of this time, but should she trust a pirate?

Jameson Mackall proves to Danielle over and over that he is trust worthy and that he will help her navigate the century that she is now stuck in. He wants Danielle to stay, but at the same time totally understands her need to go back to her life in another century. If she is able to go home, the time and the distance will destroy the bond that they have created with each other. If she decides to stay she has one final decision to come to and that is, is the pirate life for her?

Jennae Vale brings us a fabulous new start to a time travel story that involves the Pirate life. One I picked up the book there was no way I could set it down. Danielle is fantastic. She takes things as they come and doesn't wilt away from any turmoil. Instead she finds a way to feed on it and it usually saves her life. Captain Jameson Mackall is definitely a Mackall. He cares for women and never want to see them hurt, but Danielle is different as he finds himself growing deeper and deeper in love with her. Now all he has to do is help her convince herself that she wants to stay.
Ms. Vale your wrote a real page turner and I can't wait to see who gets the next story.

Pirates Are Not All Made of Stone

Wonderful and fantastic plot. She had her dream in hand. Worked very hard to achieve it and it was a success. The only thing is she did not count sea sickness. She left her very successful party themed costume party for a breath of fresh air on deck when she noticed the green sky, then a loud boom. She fell into the water and was rescued by pirates. She was intrigued and decided to check their brochure for any information or insight of her next pirate cruise party. On arriving at their destination, she set out looking for her ship and friends not realizing she had traveled back in time at least 300 years. The adventure of a lifetime became her current adventure complete with real pirates, their life in the high seas, treasure hunting, chased by Spanish man o war, balls, and even kidnapping. To top it all, she is attracted to the kindest, sweetest, and most lovable pirate of all. She finds out that there were others like her who traveled in time, but decided to stay. What is she to do? Will she leave the pirate she loves and go back to her time and all the comforts it has to offer, her business partner, and her friends or stay with him? At a crossroads, her dilemma was great indeed. Could she eat her cake and have it too? The romance and adventure is definitely fantastic. Will she go to the witch that could offer her a way back to her time? Fascinating and thrilling adventure. Definitely a must read. Highly recommended.

When Danielle falls off a pirate party boat near Bermuda she falls right into the past. Luckily she gets picked up by a real pirate ship Jameson Roark and his crew is hunting for treasure but he found the real treasure when they rescued Danielle.
Dani ping-pongs between 2 pirate ships as she is kidnapped and rescued multiple times. In the present day she is a strong independent woman. In the past she is questioning her life. Should she return to her life in the present or is love enough to keep her in the past. Jameson is a strong honorable man who wants her to stay but knows that asking her to stay would eventually damage any relationship they had.
The Happily Ever After is worth the wait and I can't help wondering which characters will be traveling through time in the next book. I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Wow, what a great start to a new series and what an adventure. I love pirates and the thought of being sent back to a tropical paradise is what dreams are made of. It is a lovely change from Scotland and the setting is perfect. This book has it all. Good and bad pirates, battles, romance, fun, adventure, mystery, kidnappings and of course HEA. The characters are wonderfully written and I am looking forward to seeing how each of the new characters get their HEA in the next books. I received this book as an ARC and freely give my review.

The plot was a good one. The writing was not. There were characters and events that had nothing to do with the main characters and I started skipping pages just to get back to the main storyline. It was just so dragged out with the repetitive dialogues and then I waited to get to the ending hoping it would be a twist and no it failed as well. Disappointed.

I love reading anything that Jennae Vale puts on paper. Green Sky at night is the first of a new series that I look forward to reading. I will say that the actual writing seemed a little stilted for Jennae, the rhythm that her dialog usual follows was missing. I still enjoyed the story and look forward to book 2 of the series.

Danielle and Jameson

Great book, great series. I started backwards and recommend starting the series from the beginning. This was such a smart, flirty story. I love the banter and teasing. Edward is the breakaway charter in the book, so funny. Very complicated love story, cute and with very handsome pirates. It is a quick and fun read!

Jameson and Danielle

Danielle falls off a ship and ends up going back in time. She is rescued by Jameson, who is a pirate. Poor Danielle always seems to end up in trouble. Good thing Jameson is around. I very much enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next one.

It wasn’t bad, but it was a bit slow and boring at times, moving forth and back. And our pirate didn’t look like pirate at all 😂 I would have loved to see a bit darker side of his.
