Another great billionaire romance from Dobi Daniels. I always look forward to reading the sweet, clean, medically nuanced books that Ms. Daniels writes and she never fails to deliver. I enjoy her characters and her story lines, even when the subject matter is touchy. I anxiously await our next journey into her imagination.

I received an advance copy of this book. All of the opinions expressed are my own, and voluntary.

David is a plastic surgeon who lost her girlfriend to cancer.
Jasmine has a history with cancer and has decided not to marry to prevent pass the gen to their kids. However, life gets a surprise for her.
A very emotive story about a nightmare called cancer. Most of us know someone who is suffering that terrible illness; some are lucky to survive it, but most lost the battle against it. This is a good book where this difficult issue is treated carefully and gives hope. And it focuses on the closeness of family and friends supporting the ill person.
I love the parents of both David and Jasmine, how they plot to get them together. It made me laugh.
A love story which makes you think what is really important in life. I highly recommended it.

Jasmine Banks, resident in oncological gynecology, and David Landi, new assistant professor in reconstructive microsurgery, are involved in family businesses that their parents wish to merge. But, the parents want to ensure the businesses stay in the family so they request the couple date for three weeks to explore the possibility of a marriage to unite the families.
Chemistry plus fun teasing interaction between these two made their relationship develop naturally despite the insecurities, unpleasant history, and misunderstandings they needed to overcome. Although the story began with an arrangement between the parents of Jasmine and David, the love story happens without meddling from outsiders. Each of them has to learn to face their fears directly.
Both main characters were well-developed, likable, and strong. It was easy to wish for a happy ending for them both. The obstacles were well thought out and realistic. Great writing! I definitely recommend this book.

4.5 stars! Best in the series so far. I loved the story line of this book. I’m not someone enjoys reading about serious illnesses like cancer but this was written in a way that it doesn’t feel depressing. There was a message of hope, and the ability to face your fears and come off victorious. I appreciated David’s character and his willingness to put the past behind him without letting his fear paralyze his future.
I received this book as an advance reader copy. This is a voluntary review and my honest opinion.

This series always finds a way to pull at my heartstrings and this new one was no different. In this one we meet up with David and Jasmine (who we already know), who use to be high school sweethearts until a misunderstanding broke them up. Now many years later they work at the same hospital and the sparks are flying. But he has already watched the live of his life die can he watch another go through the cancer struggle . Can their love survive a second chance.
I received this as an arc and I am giving my honest review voluntarily

Doctors, Breast Cancer, and Faith

I liked that both hero and heroine are adult professionals (both doctors) who become reunited later in life (although the reason given for this is quite joking in my opinion). Breast cancer, combined with the complication of the BRCA gene, provided the emotional issue to overcome along with the usual lack of communication/assumptions. A bit too much religion for me—lots of praying to God and putting one’s faith in him—but probably would be quite welcomed by many readers.

Yes to happily ever after!

An amazing story that grabs your gut then your heart! Breast cancer is such an insidious disease that when I read a story about this horror I often set it down ( sort of the ostrich with his head in the sand). I hesitate to invest myself in the characters because I don't want to face their possible loss. Ms. Daniels does an excellent job with the treatment of this disease and her characters struggle and strength is heartwarming when faced with choices difficult at the best of times!

Sweet defies reality

This book checks all the boxes. Money, orphan, jet setting, cancer, army, tragedy, family and quickly falling into love. The author throws it all together so quickly and everyone and everything works out because people finally remember to pray to their god. The hero thinks he can never love again due to the 2 week death bed experience with his dead fiancé. The heroine is surrounded by supportive people and yet she tells no one about her breast cancer until she breaks down crying, then her billionaire coworkers all rally around. The hero comes back from the army from less than a year portrayed as the war weary veteran. The H/h were dating in high school but neither recognize each other… oh but the heroine is wearing a wig so that explains it. Both the H/h keep on misunderstanding each other but so sweetly.

I guess sweet describes unrealistic people and situations. Everyone got religious the further into the book. I will say there were no grammatical errors I caught but that could be because of my eye rolling. All of the many circumstances seemed to magically work out. The book was free and I do not recommend it or the author.

Entertaining

I liked this book. It seemed to start off slow but then I got into it and it was really good. I couldn’t put it down. It was so interesting to navigate through Jasmine’s story. I loved how good her friends were to her and also David. Great book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Well done

This book deals with a touchy subject in a constructive and informative manner. It was full of medical terminology and characters. I thought it dealt with the whole issue very well, including the romance and emotions around it. A good read.

Life’s Challenges

David/Toni faced many challenges. Among them was Jasmine and getting reacquainted with her and clearing up misunderstandings. Facing life’s curves sometimes takes us places we never expected.

encouraging

This story goes through a lot of heartache and God’s strength and renewal in Jasmin and David’s (Tony) lives.
They get separated as teens due to a misunderstanding where they both don’t see the truth in a situation they went through. Tony leaves town, goes to college to become a reconstructed surgeon. There he falls in love. His fiancé, Heather, dies with cancer. In order to cope he joins the army. He uses his legal name of David. There he uses his medical skills. When he gets out his parents want him to succumb to an arranged marriage. Jasmin returns home after losing a bet wearing a brown wig and contacts. She bumps into David at the airport and neither recognize the other. Her parents want her to submerge to an arranged marriage to save their company. As doctors they run into each other at the hospital and a friendship forms. Buy the book and find out how they learn about each other and fantastic things happen. See how friendships and family help them handle a new trial.

I'm speechless. Not because the book is good, just the opposite.

They dated in high school (pretty serious as well) then when they bumped into each other they don't recognize each other. Jasmine wear wig and contact. Yeah that's really make sense (sarcastic eye rolled). Jasmine didn't realize Tony and David is the same person, because he used to be Tony but now he's David. His full name is David Anthony. I mean, of course his high school sweetheart didn't know his full name, right? (more eye rolled)

It pains me to read this book, but I'm on a long bus trip and no internet so this is the only book in my kindle that has been downloaded. I groan so many times during this.

I can honestly say that this author is improving. Her writing is better in this book than her first ones. While this novel may not have been as immediately captivating as some I've read, I did stay up until 2 am to finish it. My attention was caught.
I enjoyed hearing more about the roommates who have already had their love stories featured in previous books.

I did receive a complimentary ARC; all opinions are my own and freely given.

I really enjoyed this book. The medical information was obviously accurate and very interesting. But, I was disappointed in that the relationship development was lacking. It wasn’t clear how long they’d been together the first time around and throughout the story it just really felt it needed to have more added to the story. It was too short to be completely satisfying. I am still rating it 5 stars because I really liked the book but it was far from perfect.

This is a clean romance between 2 doctors. It does have the goal of demonstrating to the reader the power of having a prayer relationship (church/religion never mentioned) with God. It is a heartwarming read. It has several instances of miscommunication and assumptions that impact the relationships of those involved. Proof that you can believe in prayer and still have problems and still mess up. I enjoyed it very much.

This is the first book I have read by Dobi Daniels, and I found it to be a sweet story that was way too short and implausible. The plot and the characters needed more attention and development. Events took place too quickly, and the conclusion was fast. I did appreciate the information the author provided about cancer and the type of surgery possible for it. I'm glad I didn't pay the going price for paperbacks for this book.

This was a great book that pulled me in from the beginning. I enjoyed reading Jasmine's story and finding out more about her past. David had a lot going for him and he was just floating by. I liked how the two had to work together on a project and that they were arranged to be married by their parents. A lot of different genres mixed into one book. Very enjoyable and fun to read.

Ok read

This book was a decent read. I liked the characters, but there were way too many holes to fill, and things that didn't make sense. Assumptions vs communication can really hurt a relationship and these two had that in spades. It was a good read. Hopefully you like or more than me.

Miracles can happen

What a great story dealing with the sensitivity of breast cancer. When Jasmine finds out she has breast cancer she does not want to tell anyone, least of all David, who she had recently met up again. But as all things happen he finds out and confesses that he loves her and will be with her through thick and thin.

This is a wonderful book that touches on the very real area of breast cancer. The author really seems to understand some of the emotions that occur upon hearing the news of cancer. The second chance romance added makes this a very good book to add to your library.

She’s a resident, he’s a returning resident that used to be her boyfriend. It’s awkward and their parents want them to date and wed as part of a business merger. A misunderstanding gets cleared up, then another occurs and then she finds out she has cancer. Do they have a future ?

Wonderful story

This is a wonderful story of survival love and second chances. To have love and loss, but found. Breast cancer is scary when you hear those words. Family that stands beside you during the ordeal is priceless. If you don't read anything more this year, please grab this book and share my tears.
