The pandemic was severe killing millions. The city was not safe. He no longer saw a reason to stay or a direction to go. Then an old comrade, Weatherman, arrived with a wild story and Jerome Smart, code name Slicer, had a new purpose and someone was going to pay.
Jerome had been leading a quiet life since leaving the military. He found a job, an apartment, and had bought a motorcycle. He even made new friends and if not happy was at peace—then the pandemic swept the country, and his peaceful new world shattered.
As chaos runs rampant in the streets leaving the apartment without a confrontation becomes difficult. Slicer had never failed a mission or retreated from a threat but staying in the city was madness.
The suspicious release of the virus that caused the pandemic sparks a fire in Slicer. Presented with a mission he cannot refuse he sets off determined that those responsible for releasing death upon the country need to pay for their crimes. What he didn’t count on was having to battle an army to achieve his goal.
With a large enemy force surrounding his friends, Slicer must find a way to break through to rescue them or any hope of preventing the further annihilation of survivors will be lost and the country will fall.

needs a competent editor
Every one of these books is in desperate need of a competent editor. I keep seeing stupid errors, like coop instead coup, or revelry instead of reveille. Those errors detract from my enjoyment of the books.
