My first Dramione and first FanFic of 2025!

She was a chunky girl and I must give a shoutout to that one girl on TikTok who recommended this (if I ever find the video I’ll add her user)

The premise is post war, Hermione and Ron have been together and due to ruts in this it relationship Ron’s grand idea is to swap out Hermione contraceptive potion with a fertility amplifier. Hermione takes this and realises Ron’s plan and ends their relationship. Heartbroken she does what we all do after a breakup finds a dingy bar and drinks out her sorrows. Here she finds Draco Malfoy. Together the two get extremely drunk and… yeah.

The book is extreme slow burn and follows Draco and Hermione as they not only establish themselves as perspective parents but try to get past their history whilst fighting the buggish ways of Rita Skeeter.

Personally I quite enjoyed this one, however do feel like it was a very toned down version to most Dramione I read. Not only was their no spice I feel as if the Author didn’t touch on the deeper issues that are often present in Dramione. It was kind of presented as if it was just a brief high-school bullying relationship not as deep nor dark as it did get, especially when this is canon compliant. However there was still so much to this that I enjoyed!

Hermione breaks up with Ron after finding out about his betrayal. She goes to Hogsmeade to drown her sorrows and encounters Draco. One thing leads to another and their one night stand ends in consequences. I really enjoyed this story as I wasn't at all in the mood for too much angst (the world is so sucky right now). Story is a slow-burn as the pair try to become friends and get to know each other. I really liked how protective Harry was of Hermione and was immediately on her side. Rita was a right cow as usual but she got hers in the end. Ron was in rare form but despite his shitty actions, I felt a little sorry for him at the end. Only one complaint. Lucius didn't make an appearance in this story and I felt his absence. This story was just the sugary fluff ball I was searching for.

didnt realize this was a pregancny fic (thats what i get for never reading the tags) but i actually didnt mind. i loved how all the characters were written, and i love hating ron so having a reason to hate ron in this fic had me hooked!!

read it in one night (aka started wayy too late in the night and went to bed at 5 am) but its ok!! i had a good time
