Author of the exciting paranormal fantasy 'The Star' Series, which delves into what makes the human heart vulnerable, and how magic and balance aren't the only two things that matter, and the paranormal angel 'Within the Light' series, a trilogy of books that explore the elements of the mortal and angel worlds, and how they sometimes overlap. Clemy has two very vocal ginger and white cats, lovingly named Rodney and Rory, as well as owning a very proud collection of books by indie and traditional authors. Situated in the not so sunny Uk, she loves to explore the fantasy side of all things, whilst spending time with her small but wonderful family.

The sequel to "From within the light"
I had the privilege of being a beta reader for this book.

The story continues on from the cliffhanger we'd been left on. Cassie in Newtown and Kale in purgatory.

From start the finish the book has you building more and more attachment to the characters.
The story really begins to build in even more details the background revolving the fall, heaven and the relationship between the main characters.

Parts of the book had me questioning whether the balance of light and darkness had been blurred making us believe the good where really good.

Again the author has blown me away with their way of describing every situation and scenery to really make you feel like you are there.

I seriously cannot recommend this series highly enough

In this sequel to From Within the Light, we follow Cassie, Kale, and their friends as they navigate life after the events in the prior novel. Can everyone get their memories back before the Darkness takes over?

Angel lore has always been really fascinating for me, and like the previous novel, I love the fresh take on fallen angels. I appreciated that there was still lots of growth for the characters with their flaws and struggles. It wasn’t just stagnated from the first novel. I love Cassie and Kale as characters, even Leena and Farrow grew on me. It’s hard to discuss the plot of this novel without spoilers for the first novel, so I’ll just say that it was an emotional ride and there were lots of tears (angry, sad, and happy). This is an emotional YA read, and it deals with some heavy topics. Trigger warnings include graphic violence, consent, and near rape. So I’d lean toward recommending to the older YA readers.

If you like unique fantasy stories with lots of adventure, I’d recommend this series as a whole. If you’ve already read From Within the Light, for sure pick this book up. You won’t regret it!

'When you look in the mirror, tell me what you see.'

**spoilers**

This was so different to From Within the Light, as we not only follow Cassie's pov but also Kale's, and at times we get an insight from the other characters.
I felt a deep commitment to Kale, seeing him in a new light and knowing his character better, feeling what he went though and literally and figuratively battling his demons with him.

Cassie finally reached her full potential, like yano when you just want to tell someone to get their shit together, i felt a bit like that 😅 like I was ready to jump into purgatory and save Kale myself.

I had my theories throughout and some where correct which was great, I loved piecing parts together. Leon's death though was something I was not expecting and found myself saddend by, I think I had grown attached to this character as Gabe's stepdad, their bond was beautiful.

The build up of tension within the last few chapters was almost unbearable but I couldn't have wished for a better ending!
I am delighted to hear that this will become a trilogy 📚❤️
