K's debut novel, The Devil's Game, is available on Kindle Unlimited starting December 2, 2020.
Being new to Ms.Saint's work i've been wanting to get into her books for quite some time now. As soon as i stumbled across a post about this book while on social media, it caught my eye right away. I knew it had to be the one that i read first! I picked it up and got right into this story. I so enjoyed it!
Ana and Enzo's journey grabbed my attention quickly! Their story isn't easy. As they're reunited, i couldn't wait to see how everything would play out for them!
I didn't know what all to expect in this story and that got me pulled into it even more so. I loved that i went through all kinds of emotions throughout reading with both Ana and Enzo. I wasn't sure how these two would tackle things.
With Maple Point Mavericks, Ms.Saint has created such a good and dark read that had me feeling so much! I am kicking myself for not having picked up her work sooner, but i am so glad that i got to do so with this book! I can't wait for more from this author!
There are triggers in this story.
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
I don't even know what to say... Enzo and Ana are wild, crazy, a whole lotta messed up and yet they complete one another. You are not ready for all the Enzo is let me be honest I pretty much hated him the entire book but there is just something about him that draws you in and you can't help but fall hard and fast for his toxic love. Ana is a straight baddie and this woman is a true fighter/survivor. The ish she goes through and the ish E puts her true I don't know how she made it out on top. But she showed up and showed out and said hold my beer. No one was going to knock her down again. There are so many twists and turns in this story that will keep you guessing from beginning to end. There is one woman in this story that i really hope gets hers because JFC I wanted to strangle her tiny little neck. This story will have you on the edge of your seat and have you on one wild and crazy rollercoaster ride with your feelings. Freaking EPIC!!! I loved it so much...
Feeling like you've been abandoned does something to you. For Enzo, it lit a fire within him - bringing to life an intense hatred. Not knowing anything other than whispers spoken to him, he allows the hatred to manifest. Ana is determined to get back to being with the man that she loves more than anything. But things change when you're away. It's a push/pull, give, take, and demand, type of relationship that these two go through. Fighting urges and fighting each other. We get to see them both realize truths and see how those truths affect them both. They have to regrow together and make it through to the other side once they learn what's against them. I loved watching their story unfold. Seeing how their love was tested but survived. They've opened up the world of Maple Point and I am excited to see what else comes out of this little town.
I can't even express how much I loved this story, and I think all the messages I sent K.B. Saint about this book can't do justice to how I feel.
To make it short, I claimed Enzo from the beginning, and if that doesn't say everything about me, then nothing else will. The angst, secret society, emotions, hardship, truths, and everything in this story kept me invested the entire time I was reading.
I LOVED Enzo & Ana together! The push and pull between them was everything. I enjoyed their journey, which is wild (the good type of wild that keeps you wanting more), and how things unfold throughout the book.
I can't wait to see what K.B. Saint will bring next! I highly recommend this book, but please check triggers before jumping in!
This story sucked me in right from the beginning I couldn’t put it down Anna and Enzo are absolutely toxic wild and perfect for each other they both went through so much the twists and turns kept coming I was rooting for them the whole way through this story was just so damn good the angst the emotions the trauma felt so real I was so invested in this book definitely one of my faves from this author and one I highly recommend!
Loved this book. Let's start with Ana and Enzo. Absolutely love the banter back and forth. You want to hate Enzo..but you can't. This is my 1st book by this author and lets say I will definitely be reading more of her stuff. You won't be disappointed.
Ana went through so much and came out on the other side a strong heroine. She has a fire in her. I don't need damsels in distress. Give me the independent queens. Her and Enzo are two halves of a whole. Life threw curveballs but that didn't stop anything. Enzo will grow on you by the end.
This was my first read by KB. And I can now declare. Massive fan!! Loved this story so much. I fell in love with the hardships of the characters along there journey and how they came out of it! They are couple goals!! Plus add in secret society vibes. I’m sold!! Highly recommend this read
Ana and Enzo are hot and cold and low key toxic but also perfect. I beta read this and I wanted to reread a couple scenes before my review bur Ana and Enzo sucked me right back in and I ended up rereading the whole book and still loved it and felt it just as much as the 1st time. Trauma affects people differently and they've each been through their own trauma. Enzo with his abandonment issues and Ana with her trust issues almost starts out looking like a recipe for disaster but is also an opportunity for them to help each other heal and grow. The character development is on point in MPM. The trauma, the secret society, the hurt, the angst, the unknown...it all came together and was realistic in the way of feelings, responses, and how life just keeps swinging at us sometimes. Ana and Delilah's friendship was a super highlight for me. I loved them. Delilah is an A 1 from day 1 with Ana. She has her back and Ana really needed someone like that in her life. I felt so much while reading this.
