"It wasn't going to be long enough till her knees would be bruised for me." Christopher Delfino.
Rebekah I didn't know him until one night at the subway station when I saw him, nearly killing a man. He tried to chase me, I pepper-sprayed him and his brother, not knowing what I had done and the monster I had awoken.
He found me, and instead of wanting my head, he wanted me and he didn't stop until he had me, as his mate.
Christopher I didn't want her but I needed her. I secretly longed for a mate for decades but not for a feisty, stubborn cagna who couldn't obey me for a split second, even if her life was on death row.
Nothing mattered when I learned she was my mate. I needed to protect her, my human.
Mia Kerr is a paranormal erotic writer with over 38+ million views on Wattpad and Inkitt. Believes in everything fictional and adores felines. When she isn't writing, she's managing her cats and their charades.
Railed By The Alpha delivered an erotic shifter romance with plenty of heat and action. Rebekah finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses something she shouldn't have. Worse, she ends up engaging with these dangerous men AND stealing something that doesn't belong to her. The only reason she escaped with her life was because Christopher recognized her as his mate.
Christopher wants the stubborn beauty badly and will do almost anything to make her his. When danger threatens their possible HEA, will the two of them pick the same side?
Rebekah was much too crass for me at times and I found her back and forth on her emotions regarding Christopher exhausting. I liked Christopher but he was lacking in the personality department. He only had one side - cold and/or detached. I wanted to see a softer side from him when he was with his mate. The action and world building in here was engaging and entertaining but the romance was physical at best. I didn't understand how they got to "I love you." There wasn't any real passion and emotion in their pairing and I felt like at the end of the day they could have lived without one another. I wanted a little more depth to their relationship and why their bond meant something to them...not others.
That being said, if you look at this story from a purely erotica standpoint then I don't think you'll be disappointed. It delivered a fast-paced and dirty shifter adventure.

The storyline had potential. I would have liked to read more about Christopher's background and his relationship with his brother since he seemed to dislike him for no apparent reason. Also, I would have liked to see the gradual transition of Rebekah's feelings towards him not that big leap without any obvious work from him. I also think the ending should have been stronger.

Both the characters and the story need a lot of work.
The characters brought nothing to the story and as a reader I could not relate to their romance, or even like them. No attention was given to creating any depth to any of them - much like the whole story really.
I found the writing style quite challenging. It was immature and un-practiced, and felt like something I would read on Wattpad. A lot happens, but happens too fast with no emotion behind the words.
Also a few spelling mistakes dotted throughout too.
The storyline about her family life was pointless. You never felt she was close to them or that she wanted to be around them. In the story they were all completely detached from anything in her life and the story. Why include them at all?
My other HUGE issue was the amount of times he puts his hands around her neck and chokes her - like it's a nice thing!!!!! It's not sexy and it's not a love language that any writer/reader should think is even remotely acceptable.
I also struggled with the love story. She is immature, selfish, and rude with zero emotional intelligence. She plays with fire when she meets Christopher who is a mean and violent man, but I honestly can't say that they have any sort of romantic connection. You get to know hardly anything about Christopher as the story mostly follow her, but if he's not pushing her away and ignoring her, he's trying to seduce her. He even pays her/bribes her to go out with him in a sexy dress and sexy lingerie. He's a jerk.
And she's a fool (as we've already established) for falling for it. But all she really falls for is his seduction, and his game playing. They never go on a proper romantic date, they never do anything of substance, bond over anything or share any banter… they never made me smile or root for them. So yeah, needs work.
Reviewed in Australia 🇦🇺 on 4 April 2023 An interesting story of an Alpha Werewolf meeting his human mate. She does not know about his species, but her best friend is from his pack.
The twists and turns of the plot keep you turning the pages. She has a distinct dislike for Christopher and cannot understand his interest in her. He also has many secrets, that are slowly revealed as the story progresses.
Does Christopher win his mates heart? Will Rebekah give in to her feelings, that she does not understand, to be with Christopher.
When witches kidnap Rebekah, after she mates with Christopher, finally, they ask for an exchange, Rebekah for Christopher. He agrees, and the exchange is made.
Nobody knows he is missing and when they all realize he is not with his mate, they go all out to find him.
What happens to Christopher whilst in the hands of the Witches clan?
A worthy 4 star novel which I enjoyed immensely.

0.5 stars Christopher, the MMC, is extremely unlikeable with no redeeming qualities. The author could've made a rebound with his character and instead doubled down on his absolutely snobbish, arrogant, disrespectful, and just plain foul personality. Rebekah, the FMC, is annoying and whiny. I honestly believe the last 3/4ths of the book someone else took over writing because the characters truly went off the rails. This author couldn't have written worse characters with less chemistry than these two. The plot is vacuous, the characters are boring and one-dimensional and the conflict at the end is nonsensical. I found the divorce between the parents ironic considering the main characters seem to be more toxic and obtuse than them. These characters have two lines at most with Christopher's being: You belong to me and you will obey me and Rebekah's being: I don't belong to you and you can't tell me what to do.
Ugh, I'm annoyed I wasted any time reading this at all. 0/10 wouldn't recommend.
"Railed by the Alpha" is the first book in a new series, and it certainly grabbed my attention. Rebekah was in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed a murder. The murderers saw her, and she protected herself while also stealing one of the men's wallets. This is where the intrigue and story get started. Christopher, the owner of the wallet, believed she was his mate, and he went after her in any way he could...most of them very disturbing and frightening to Rebekah.
Christopher and Rebekah had a very contentious relationship and how she got from hating and cursing him to trusting and loving him was a bit of a leap. The depth of emotion wasn't there but the passion certainly was present. The ending seemed abrupt and could have used more details.

ARC Received (Thanks to BookSirens) for honest review
This book needed some work. I really wanted to like it but the beginning started really slow. Then I felt the amount of push and pull between Rebekah and Christopher was a bit much. It was like she went from hating him and not being able to stand him to loving him and wanting his mark. There were also too many storylines and plot points. Until midway through the book we knew nothing of witches and all of a sudden they needed his mate for a ritual. Then at the end of the book they didn’t actually need his mate, they needed him to agree to let them use the underground tunnels because that was the most important. The ending was really lacking and for me this book just didn’t land very well. With a little work on the plot points and some editing I think this could be a decent paranormal romance.
Railed by the Alpha wasnt what I was expecting in two ways. The erotica was very pleasing if you’re only looking at it from that standpoint. However the characters itself fell short for me;
From the very beginning we get a very hard and crass Christopher along with a stubborn Rebekah. Their development as a couple in the werewolf world is puzzling because in no way shape or form did we see a change in Christopher to have deserved the “I love you” he got from Rebekah.
I would’ve really loved to have seen a change in him for his mate. The only part that starts to satiate that need is when he comes to the realization that his savage wolf submits only to her but that doesn’t change his savagery one bit.
It’s a fast paced book but for 500 pages i would’ve also liked more plot building and give more to the looming threat of the witches. It felt too rushed when their introduction came.

I was pulled in to Rebekah and Christopher's story. Their first meeting was explosive. Definitely more than either expected. I loved watching their relationship develop.
I was shocked by the relationship with his brother - how he threatened to end his mate. Not warm and fuzzy at all. We leain more later about their dynamic.
Story was an emotional ride. They are pulled together and yet it was hard to decide if they really should be together. I loved how everything came together at the end. The twists and turns kept me guessing and I loved Rebekah's roll in saving the day.
I am excited seeing "book 1" on the cover. This is definitely a world I want to explore more. Would love to get more of their story and see more of Pietro too.

This could have been really good and I’m sad it was t really, it just needed more character development and personality, both the male and female leads weren’t likeable, had no real personality other than being aggressive or shouty, the actual storyline was interesting but without a couple to care about it’s not really tense if you don’t care. The purported personality change for our main character never happened he was no different at all, the end was a bit of a damp squib, nothing happened really. So i think if the character depth is worked on more and the end changed a bit you could have a great read

I really wanted to love this book and give it a 5 star. Christopher Delfina is an Alpha werewolf who’s destined mate is human, a mate he doesn’t want because it equates to weakness. Rebekah is destined to be mated to a werewolf. Their first meeting didn’t go well so they already dislike each other. I did not…repeat did not like Rebekah at all. The author made it extremely difficult to like her at least for me, constantly throwing insults which I equates to a tantrum. Chris is sweet and love how he went from disliking Bek and when he realized she was his mate he tried to change for her.

General Thoughts: When this book was on, it was ON!!! There are so many great memorable quotes from this one that were so so 🔥🔥🔥. Overall, I enjoyed it, and I thought it was a fun, sexy, enjoyable read.
I like my books to have a little bit more character development and world-building than this one did, but on the whole, I enjoyed the banter In this one. I could have chosen a host of sexy quotes to highlight, that's for sure.
Let's start with the good. Some of the banter and wit in this one was on point. (See quotes below.) Overall, it was a fun, quick, enjoyable read. I am glad to have read it.
What didn't work for me: There were a few lines that pulled me out of the story because they didn't quite work or click or just were a bit forced. I also personally like to see a bit more character and world development than there was here.
However, it was a fun, sexy, quick, and enjoyable read. I'm glad I read it, and I'll read more by the author. I think she has a lot of potential.

Memorable Quotes 🔥 alert. I've condensed down some so you can get the back and forth quicker.
~"I'm not a whore," I reminded him. "And you won't be," he stated and took a deep breath. "Unless you want to be."
~The flags weren't even red, they were crimson--with blood pouring down them."
~"Do you want me to bow to you. Do you want me to kiss your feet?" He chuckled and then shook his head. "Not tonight."
~"You're going to beg for more after today. I promise you that. I'll ruin you in a way you have never been ruined. I'll consume every inch of your impure soul because that's exactly what you want. You will break for me."
~"I'm not telling you to love me," he rasped. "Let me."
Steam Meter:🔥🔥🔥. Pretty steamy but not the most steamy. Some choking elements.
Romantic Tropes -dark romance (mafia-esque) -paranormal romance -shapeshifter -enemies to lovers

Great world building and start to something that could be great as this series continues. Rebekah is a human who accidently finds herself involved in the world of the paranormal. Christopher is the Alpha of the city and is surprised when his mate is not what he expected. Their chemistry is undeniable, but their interactions are full of emotional up and downs. The ending is not quite a cliffhanger, but you are left with some unanswered questions. Hopefully, they will be resolved in other books in this series which is enjoyable so far.

Good book. The interactions between Christopher and Rebekah make me want to scream. The way he reacts to her the first time is not at all what I would expect to see from a wolf that has found his mate. I just want to punch Christopher sometime with the way he handles things with her. She didn’t know anything about who he was but he expected for her to follow. I will say I do love when the leading lady kicks the man in the butt and demands the respect that she deserves. Can’t wait to read the next one and hopefully get some more of this story also.
This is the first book in this series Delfino Brothers. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to reading the next installment. This is a dark, steamy paranormal story. We are introduced to Rebekah who is at the wrong place and witness something she shouldn't. She intervenes and get the attention of the dangerous men who happened to be werewolves. Rebekah doesn't know the danger she is in, more so now that is is the mate of the Alpha Christopher. This is their journey. The story is full of twists and turns. The chemistry between these two is sizzling. I enjoyed this book.
Rebekah acted pretty immaturely through most of the story. She was young (20-ish?) but she made a lot of questionable choices. Christopher wasn’t particularly likable in the beginning, didn’t treat Rebekah or his brother well, and behaved like an arrogant jerk even after he found out Rebekah was his mate. They both grew as their relationship deepened, and their love grew and acceptance of each other made the difference. I found the writing level more like young adult despite the fairly explicit sex.

I’m so glad I decided to read this book. I loved Christopher. He knew that Rebekah was his mate and nothing was stopping him from claiming her. He refused to believe her claims of wanting nothing to do with him. Rebekah was stubborn and wasn’t willing to give in to Christopher or herself. Christopher melted my heart. I want to read more of this series. I received this book from BookSirens. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
I’m struggling to figure out exactly how I feel about this book. The angst is there- which is good but there seems to be a lot going on that’s not explained so I feel very confused at the end… overall the story is good but there are a good amount of typos that should be resolved and some serious plot holes that should be fixed. The story is good and easy to enjoy but the ending is ABRUPT.

Good story. Rebekah has the misfortune to steal a wallet from the wrong guy. Christopher becomes instantly attracted to Rebekah when he goes to meet her and discovers that she is his mate. Rebekah doesn't know about shifters and this is their story. It is full of denial, overbearing alpha attitude, and hot steamy love scenes. This was a good story. Oh noes how can you leave the ending like that? Tell me I get to see more from Christopher & Bek! Gah I devoured this book in one sitting. The build up of their tension was great….I wasn’t sure which way Chris was gonna go & let’s be honest, Bek is a strong willed MC, so that could have gone a few different ways too 😂 I loved the constant clashing and the smexy scenes were fantastic too! Please tell me there is more!!!
Good one. Loved the play between Rebekah and Christopher for the most part. Rebekah’s indecision became a bit whiny but her strength came through in the end. Their connection was so real and their passion was super hot. Good plot lines and twists added depth. There are future stories baked in this for sure. A good one!

An interesting premise, I enjoyed the character interaction and development. Definitely a gritty possessive alpha male book. So if you like that hot grumpy man with a bad attitude, this is for you!

Rebekah sees something she shouldn’t when she meets Christopher in the underground. This is a steamy, snarky, sexy book with a strong willed female and stoic alpha male. The steam is off the charts and the scenes electric . This is a great book and well worth the read
Really enjoyed the book. It had mystery, pain, laughs, action and twists. The need to be one with the wolf inside and his mate was strong and without either, who was he or even she without him? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Entertaining read with some edge of your seat, heart stopping moments and amazing characters! Great world building and story. well written and definitely a must read.

Rebekah and Christopher's fast paced action, desires and steamy scenes. She witnessed something she shouldn't but Christopher can't take her out when she's his mate.

This is my first Mia Kerr novel, and I wasn't disappointed. Deliciously dark and sinful. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book!

This has a bit of mafia/gang feel. There’s drama, forced interaction, action, gang style violence, and hot sexy scenes. This was a quite enjoyable read.
It started out slow and never picked up speed. There was some hot parts and that's why I gave 3 stars. But it just dragged on painfully. And the ending was very anti-climactic
