If you’re craving a story that wraps elegance, heartbreak, and danger into one irresistible package Once Is Never Enough will give you everything you didn’t know you needed. Monique Gliozzi spins a thriller so smooth, so intoxicating, it’s like sipping fine wine with a touch of poison.

Larissa La Roche starts off as the picture of privilege beautiful, adored, and effortlessly successful. Then, life does what it does best: it breaks her. And oh, how gloriously she unravels. Her descent from grace isn’t just tragic it’s magnetic. You can’t look away, even when you want to.

As the pages turn, Gliozzi leads you through vineyards, luxury estates, and dark corners of the human psyche, where grief turns into obsession and revenge becomes an art form. Then enters Special Agent Isabella Ashford calm, brilliant, relentless the only one capable of matching Larissa’s fire.

It’s sharp, emotional, and darkly glamorous. Every twist feels earned, every emotion feels real. It’s one of those rare thrillers that makes your pulse race and your heart ache and I loved every moment of it.

What caught me most about Once Is Never Enough wasn’t just the suspense it was Larissa La Roche herself. She’s not your typical heroine or villain. She’s something far more complex: a woman broken open by grief, trying desperately to hold herself together while the world keeps pulling her apart.

Monique Gliozzi doesn’t just write about revenge she writes about what drives it. Every decision Larissa makes feels like the echo of her trauma, every secret she hides adds another crack to her fragile humanity. I found myself rooting for her, fearing for her, and at times even understanding the darkness that consumes her.

When Isabella Ashford enters the picture, it’s like watching two storms collide. The tension between them one emotional, one psychological is electric. Gliozzi handles it all with the kind of grace that makes the pages turn themselves.

This book made me feel everything: grief, anger, admiration, pity, awe. It’s not just a thriller it’s an emotional excavation. By the time I reached the end, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to cry or applaud. Maybe both.

Once Is Never Enough plays out in your imagination like a high-stakes cinematic masterpiece. Think Gone Girl meets Killing Eve, with a touch of old Hollywood drama and Napa Valley elegance.

From the first chapter, Monique Gliozzi’s prose grabs you by the collar and says, “Don’t even think about sleeping tonight.” The pacing is fast but never rushed every scene feels choreographed for impact. The visual imagery is stunning: the vineyards shimmering under California sun, the jet-set glamour of Larissa’s world, and the shadowy undercurrent of danger that keeps you glued to the page.

Larissa La Roche is magnetic the kind of antiheroine you’d cast instantly in a movie. And Isabella Ashford? The perfect foil calm, clever, determined, but not without her own emotional scars. Their cat-and-mouse dynamic would make for award-winning television.

The story’s blend of luxury and danger gives it a rare edge it’s thrilling, emotional, and stylish as hell. You don’t just read this book you watch it unfold in your mind, scene by glorious scene.

As someone fascinated by human behavior, I was absolutely enthralled by Once Is Never Enough. Monique Gliozzi doesn’t just create characters she dissects them, layer by layer, until you understand exactly how pain becomes obsession and obsession becomes vengeance.

Larissa La Roche is one of the most intriguing fictional women I’ve encountered in a long time. She’s not mad she’s wounded. She’s not cruel she’s desperate to regain control of a world that betrayed her. Watching her transformation is both horrifying and hypnotic.

Then there’s Isabella Ashford the investigator who sees more than she should, who feels more than she admits. Together, these two women form a psychological mirror, reflecting everything we fear about losing ourselves to emotion.

Gliozzi’s writing is crisp, confident, and emotionally charged. She invites you to empathize with the unthinkable and by the end, you’re questioning who the real villain is. Once Is Never Enough is dark, dazzling, and disturbingly insightful. It’s the kind of story that lingers in your mind long after you’ve put it down.

Larissa La Roche seems to have the ideal life. She is an heiress to a successful winery, happily married, and has the ideal job of traveling all over as an airline stewardess. When she was a child, she lost both of her parents under unusual circumstances and she seeks revenge, keeping her intentions a secret. When tragedy strikes one of Larissa’s coworkers her killer instinct is unveiled. Nothing is as it seems.

She is hunted down by FBI agent Isabella Ashford, who does everything in her power to capture the sociopath.
Time will tell if her efforts will be successful.

I received this Ebook from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review. It was a real page turner filled with unbelievable twists that I never saw coming!
