Issei Sagawa was a murderer and cannibal turned best-selling author and Japanese media sensation.

He moved from Japan to Paris as a post-grad student to study literature at the renowned Sorbonne Academy. There he met his victim and classmate. He lured her to his apartment by telling her that he needed help with translating French poetry. Against warnings of her friends that described Sagawa as 'creepy' she decided to help him. It would be her last and most fatal mistake.

Sagawa later confessed to murdering and cannibalizing her. After only 15 months of incarceration, he was let free due to a legal loophole. He went back to Japan where he has enjoyed becoming a best selling author and a media sensation. He has been linked to eight other disappearances of women back in Paris.

Sagawa died of complications of pneumonia at the age of 73 on November 24, 2022.

A very detailed and graphic telling of events. I was impressed by his accuracy in portraying his crime via manga and found his retelling of events to be quite intriguing. A very sick individual, that is for sure.

i haven't read this (i have seen 4/5 panels), but i would like to spread awareness at the failure of the law that was evident with Issei Sagawa's case. this is a fucking disgusting book, that man was not humane, truly an outlier in society.
a gory and chilling look into how un-remorseful an individual can be. not even individual, an animal. he is cold, hard proof that humans are deep down ANIMALS, no matter how hard we align ourselves to our morals. instinct will always win. unhinged animals will always win.
this is the kind of 'book' (if i can call it that?) that will make you feel sick and it stands as a sharp reminder that the world is an unforgiving place.
Issei Sagawa, may you burn a dark flame, may you rot and be consumed by the ground.
thank you for reading.

I am so disgusted by him.. its so horrible that it man got to keep the money from all the talk shows he was invited on and books that he wrote, he is dead now but his act and name will go down in the history books as a failure of the justice system...

dont worry i didnt buy this book, i would never give this man a single cent of mine

I mean it's a book written by a cannibal murderer who enjoyed it and then wrote it all down… it's the worst book I've ever read and I regret reading it
