Quick(ish) Review
This is a quick and kinda smutty read with tropes I’m a complete sucker for. Main quibble is that I read it and the details have already escaped my brain. It depends on the trope to do all the lifting, not a lot of character work. Anyway I might try the next one. Do with that as you will. 🤷🏻♀️

I was actually really looking forward to this book after reading My Curvy Puck. I was intrigued by Miles and Ellie.
This story wasn't awful, but my biggest issue is that their story took place in the background of My Curvy Puck and yet, nothing that happened in that book happened in this book. Also, nothing that happened with Ellie's best friend and Ellie's brother happened in this book. The books, which were supposed to overlap (according to the events in the first book) didn't match up. That annoyed me to no end. That's what gave this book it's rating.

I loved miles so so much. Ellie wasn't my favorite I didn't like the three year wait for marriage. Don't know why you wait that long.

Cute story with no om/ow drama, just the way I like it.
Some things did bother me though:
- writing errors, does no one proof read?
- goosepimples, English isn't my native language but it sounds childish in my eyes
- throwing up and making out after? Yuck 🤢

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Miles has known Ellie since her twin brother, Noah comes to the Vancouver Vikings when they were twelve. It wasn't until Ellie turned twenty one at her birthday party that Miles started to notice the woman Ellie becomes. Mile is best friends with Noah and as a hockey player sisters are off limits, so Miles fights his attraction towards Ellie. Miles's is getting older and he is starting to think about ending his hockey career. He gets upset one night and that's when Ellie comes to console him. They end up back at his apartment and in bed together. They try to hid their relationship from everyone including Noah. Ellie doesn't want to hid anymore she wants everyone to know. Noah calls Miles to come to the bar and look after Ellie when he gets there he takes Ellie home. They've been seeing each other for six months now, so Ellie takes Miles phone when he goes to call Noah and she sends him a text message. Noah sends a message back that he know they are seeing each other, it no longer a secret. Ellie stays the night with Miles and he makes her breakfast in the morning. They are both late for work but have a quickie before they leave. When Ellie gets to work she is tired from Miles keeping her up all night. She sits down but her boss catches her he asks her to take some food to some guest who have been waiting. When she takes the plates of scrambled eggs she gets nauseous and runs to the restrooms. When she comes out her bosses are waiting for her she asks them if it can but wait but they fire her. She goes home and turns on the local news to find out Miles is in talks to be traded to New York. She sends him a text message and he tells her he wants to come talk to her. When he get to her apartment he notices the bottle of pain killers and water bottles. He asks her why she's not at work and she tells him. He tells her his agent is just talking nothing has been signed. He asks her to go to a charity gala and look sexy the following night. Miles has a limo waiting to take them to the gala, when they walk the red carpet he holds her hand. After the event he asks her if she wants to go home but she tells him she wants at least one dance. Before they get a dance he notices she hasn't eaten much and he asks her if she alright. Ellie gets nauseous again and runs to the restroom. She pulls out a pregnancy test since this is the first time she's felt like this and doesn't thinks it's a bug. Miles comes in and asks her if she's alright, when she comes out he sees the test on the back of the toilet bowl. He asks her if it's hers and she tells him yes. Miles asks her if it's positive and she tells him she doesn't know yet. He tells Ellie he wants to look with her. They both find out together they are pregnant, so Miles asks her if she wants to go home now. In the limo ride home he asks her if she'll marry him and she tells him yes. He tells her he wants to be with her and their new family. Three years later, Miles signed an extended contract with the Vancouver Vikings, he stayed on the team for another year. Now Ellie is ready to walk down the aisle, Lucy their daughter goes first to find her daddy. Her best friend Hazel and brother Noah are her bridesmaids, they are married now. As Ellie walks down she only sees Miles when she gets to him he leans in she pulls away thinking he's going to kiss her. He tells her she look beautiful. They say their vows and then Miles is told he can kiss his bride. Ellie will never get enough of Miles, now he is hers forever she doesn't need anything else.

Ellie Edwards is the quiet twin supporting her brother in the sport he loves. She didn’t mind that Noah was famous and a world class hockey player. She was quite happy with the job she has. And sneaking around with the captain of the team. Ellie still was astonished the man wanted her. She was the curvy girl, and he was … a hockey player who could have any girl he wanted.
Miles Johnson loved hockey. The day he signed the contract was the happiest day of his life. Then when he noticed Ellie, he not just wanted her. But he needed her in his life. I loved reading this sports romance story. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up. I never hesitate to pick up her books, they are that great. I enjoy her writing skills and attention to details that make her stories realistic. The characters pull you into the story from the start. They have great growth and chemistry throughout. They are strong, supportive characters that made the story hard to put down. This is a fast paced story where the author made you feel as if you are part of the story. This is a story about Ellie and Miles. Their relationship is steamy and you will want to see what fate has in store for them. I highly recommend reading this book and this author.

This is spicy, sport, age gap, BBW novella. These are comfort romances novella with some spice based out of the Scotland. I find them comforting and a good pallet cleanser in between larger books.
I usually fly though all of CH James books but I took a bit longer to get through this one. I think it was the dirty talk for me lol. Even though it took a bit for me to get into it, it was still really enjoyed it.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Miles and Ellie.. Miles is a star hockey player with her brother, and his best friend. So when Ellie gets the chance to spend time with her crush, she takes it. Miles and Ellie have been hiding their relationship from Noah for several months, or so they think. But giving into their happiness sets them free. Great HEA.

This was great. I read the first book in this story and liked it, I was excited to see Miles get his story. The ONLY thing I wish was that we had more of Miles and Ellie's relationship. I would have loved to see this from the start rather than 6 months in. I think these two were so great together and it was an enjoyable, quick read for me. Can't wait to see what is next for these Vancouver Vikings.

I liked the characters and I liked their chemistry a lot. What I did not like was the intimate scenes. I thought that they were over the top and to me it felt like a teenager wrote them. Other than that I liked the story line and the dialogue.

I absolutely loved this book. I loved the chemistry between Ellie and Miles. The storyline was perfect. I loved how they already had a relationship of sorts before having one in the book. Everything unfolds perfectly and the writing is amazing.

For a series tagged as curvy this felt quite negative. Emily would say she loved her but but also put herself down. I couldn't decide if this happened alongside or after book 1 and very few links were made between them. Also she was an awful employee

Ellie and Miles are hands down another one of my favorite couples! From keeping their feels a secret from Ellie’s brother to coming clean and telling him. Then Ellie finds out Miles may be leaving..add in a few surprises I was not expecting and one wonderful epilogue and it’s one of my favorite hockey romances yet!
