Rate this book
Bring your darkest fantasies to life. Go on, I dare you…
Dahlia turned her own world upside down on a dare from a sexy coworker. Who knew a voyeuristic taste of the intoxicating power of BDSM would lead to so much more? Now she’s desperate to discover her own submissive potential with a true Master.

Master Hayden has a strict policy never to get involved with vanilla girls, even the BDSM-curious. Yet Dahlia sparks a desire in him so powerful he might just have to make an exception. But does she have what it takes?

Dahlia, who prides herself on rising to any challenge, leaps at Hayden’s sexy offer of a full-on Master/slave experience. Yet, the deeper the Dom draws her into the dark, edgy reality of true submission, the more conflicted she becomes.

It was all going so well…until it wasn’t.

More than a Dare is Book 4 of the Masters Club Series. If you enjoy powerful alpha men who aren’t afraid to take what they want, but give so much in return to the women they fall for, then this series is for you.

I swear on my last functioning brain cell, More Than a Dare does not simply begin. Oh no. It erupts into your life like a glitter bomb packed by a drunk fairy godmother with boundary issues. One moment you’re sipping your metaphorical tea, the next you’re being yeeted into Dahlia’s world where a single dare turns into a full‑blown identity crisis wrapped in leather‑scented self‑discovery.

Dahlia is that woman who says, “I can handle anything,” right before life says, “Bet.” She takes one voyeuristic peek into the Masters Club and suddenly she’s spiraling into a journey of emotional excavation so intense it could qualify as cardio. She wants to prove she’s brave, capable, unshakeable. But the universe, in its infinite sass, hands her Hayden.

Master Hayden, bless his tightly wound soul, is the human equivalent of a locked filing cabinet labeled “Do Not Touch.” He has rules. He has standards. He has a personal policy about not getting involved with curious beginners, and he clings to it like it’s the last donut in the break room. And then Dahlia walks in with her wide‑eyed determination and chaotic energy, and suddenly the man is rethinking his entire life philosophy.

Their dynamic is pure Robyn Peterman energy: two stubborn disasters circling each other while the universe cackles in the background. Dahlia is trying to impress him. Hayden is trying not to combust. And the Masters Club is lurking like a judgmental aunt who knows everyone’s secrets and refuses to mind her own business.

The real magic here isn’t the dares or the power exchange. It’s the emotional tug‑of‑war. Dahlia wants to rise to the challenge, but she also wants to stay true to herself, and those two desires collide like two caffeinated raccoons fighting over a shiny object. Hayden wants to guide her, protect her, keep her safe, but he’s also terrified of letting someone in far enough to matter.

Everything is going beautifully—shockingly beautifully—until it all goes sideways in the most Claire Thompson way possible. One moment you’re swooning, the next you’re clutching your metaphorical pearls, muttering, “Oh no, sweetie, not like this.” The fallout is messy, emotional, and absolutely earned, because both of them have to face the truth: wanting something doesn’t mean you’re ready for it, and readiness doesn’t mean it won’t terrify you.

The payoff is delicious. Not because everything is perfect, but because everything is honest. This book is about trust, vulnerability, and the terrifying moment when someone sees you—really sees you—and you have to decide whether to run or rise.

If you want emotional depth, character growth, and a romance forged in the fires of mutual accountability and chaotic determination, More Than a Dare delivers like it’s trying to win a gold medal in Dramatic Emotional Olympics.

After meeting Hayden and Dahlia in Dare To Be Naughty,i was very curious what happened with them.
I felt very lucky when i got the ARC of More Than A Dare from Claire, and couldn’t wait to dive into their story.
What i found, was a journey into not only a new dynamic, but the possibility of a relationship as well.
And Claire shared that journey in a beautiful way, with a lot of TLC.

Hayden and Dahlia were friends and colleagues first….before he showed her his lifestyle.
And found she was the submissive he thought she was.
Maybe a bit masochistic too?
For the first time in his life,he finds himself hoping for more….
Could he have found the one to become his slave? He’d have to be careful not to push her too hard, too fast….
Because she made him feel things he never felt, and he didn’t want to lose her.

Dahlia couldn’t believe she was a submissive,a masochist one even.
But Hayden took her by the hand and guided her towards her inner cravings in a way she’d never imagined.
Thanks to him she found she enjoyed pain with her pleasure.
And she wanted more….with him!
Until that weekend….

Was his dream a dealbreaker?
Who could Dahlia confide in when it became too much?
And Hayden,he needed someone to talk to as well.
Good thing she has new friends, friends that Hayden introduced her to…

Hayden and Dahlia’s journey was a beautiful one. I loved how careful, but eager,Hayden was with Dahlia.
How she made him think.
And i also loved how brave Dahlia was in following him down the rabbithole, but still stood up for herself when she needed to.
In short,i really enjoyed their story!

Dom Frenzy

This is the fourth book set in the world of the Masters Club (though little of the BDSM action takes place in the actual club). It isn't a standalone: Christmas at the Club: A Christmas BDSM Romance Anthology and/or Dare to be Naughty detail how the couple first met. They are doctors Hayden and Dahlia. He's an experienced Dom who prefers hard-core impact play; she's a newbie sub feeling her way. Will his demands prove too much for her? Warning: While the acts are consensual and include safewords, they are intense and may be outside some readers' comfort zone.

If you're looking for a BDSM book featuring two likable characters and a narrative that carefully lays out the tenets of this lifestyle, you may enjoy this. I appreciated Ms. Thompson's emphasis on consent; that Dahlia refused to let her hormones overrule her common sense; the friendship among the women; and Hayden's character growth as he learns to be less rigid in his demands.

That said, this was a very dry book and, perhaps, better suited to those who don't read a lot in this genre. For me, who does, I found the explanations tedious (the action frequently stops so that Hayden can clarify something for Dahlia). While I understand that the author wanted to depict a different dynamic here (the other books' subs were all experienced), I think there could have been a more interesting way to do it. Exploring, for example, why Hayden was so set in his ways would have helped. As it stands now, I felt that the characters were too surface and one-dimensional -- little more than D/S types -- and I wasn't invested in their relationship.

3 stars. As someone who self-identifies as Jewish, I did appreciate that Dahlia is, since so few characters are in this genre. I suspect that this may be the last book in this series.

"Dr Hayden Simon is an Orthopedic Surgeon, Head Master, and club physician at the Masters Club. He enjoys relaxing at the club with a bevy of club submissives to choose from. He'll never date a vanilla person again. If he should ever consider a relationship, it would need to be with a Master/slave dynamic.

Dahlia Simon MD is an Orthopedic Surgeon. She's been dedicated to her career, now in her thirties she's ready to open herself up to romance. The man that snags her attention is her friend and co-worker.

Hayden and Dahlia are both orthopedic surgeons. When she started work at the hospital, they struck up a friendship getting closer and closer until an off-hand BDSM comment after happy hour and an overheard phone conversation has Dahlia curious.

Dahlia has been drawn to BDSM from the first time she picked up a BDSM book written by a slave in a bookstore. They were just fantasies until Hayden.

Hayden swore never to date a vanilla woman again but he sees the submissive, masochistic streak in Dahlia and believes under his guidance she can become a slave. Their story goes from close colleagues to intensely intimate BDSM lightning fast. As Hayden makes some of her darkest fantasies come true, Dahlia isn't sure she can be all he desires, trying to sort out who she is and what she truly desires, while reveling in most of their play.

Thompson's writing is intense, taking readers on a ride going way too fast for a newbie to the BDSM world. New players tend to jump in the deep end and Dahlia is no exception. Will they crash and burn or find their forever partner?

There were times I struggled with this book, realizing what a fine line there is between abuse and two consenting adults who enjoy BDSM. But I appreciated Thompson handling of the emotional chaos that can happen while embracing needs outside social norms and a new relationship.

This story includes BDSM scenes that may be difficult for some readers, read at your own discretion.

After reading and enjoying the prequel novella was interested to know where the narrative would lead, but I cant help feeling the novella somehow worked better. The concept felt spread too thinly across its much, much longer length as the overall plot basically remained the same, just with raised stakes (love instead of just curiosity).

The plot focuses squarely on the growing relationship as Hayden leads Dahlia further in to a submissive DBSM pleasure space and explores where her limits lie. She is driven by her love for him and her curiosity about her sub side, him by his need for his growing love and for her to fulfil his ideal fantasy "Slave girl".

Hayden is a more likable Dom than a certain monochromatic trilogy lead, he know what he wants, what he is and although he pushes too far, he doesn't try to form a relationship with someone who is "vanilla", luckily for him he falls for a hidden submissive. Unfortunately his personality can come across a bit flat in places, borderline 1 dimensional in his obsession. Dahlia is a fun character, both attempting to reconcile her emerging inner submissive, what that means for her place as a woman in a male dominated work space and her growing love for Hayden.

The "Scenes" between Hayden and Dahlia are appropriately steamy, though trips to the club were sorely missing, relegated instead to Hayden's personal dungeon.

This was my first foray in the Masters Club and has left me curious about the rest of the series. It was an enjoyable read with a sweet romantic ending even if it felt overly long.

This book picks up where book 3.5 in the series leaves off with Hayden and Dahlia. I liked some aspects of this book, while others fell flat. I wish we had seen more about why Hayden was the way he was. I will say that I really liked how much consent is brought up between them. Hayden wants to make her comfortable while introducing her to this lifestyle, but he does miss the mark at a point. We find out the interest that Dahlia has because it started when she was a little bit younger than she is now. She seems to waiver initially between wanting to submit and not wanting to submit, I think mainly because the impression Hayden is giving off is that he wants a 24/7 M/d relationship. Dahlia cannot see herself being in a relationship like that. Will they be able to work through this, or will it be a deal breaker for both?.

If you have read the prequel to this then you will love the continuing sub slave training and developing relationship between Hayden and Dahlia.

After Dahlia's intense training causes her serious doubts, Hayden is forced to review his stance on committed relationships and his desire for a 24/7 sub.

Along with some very explicit sex scenes, there is alot of soul searching and angst between the couple which provides an interesting aspect on how such a relationship should work in the real world.

If you're a fan of the BDSM genre then this is for you. It is one of the more believable books that uses BDSM to explore a growing dynamic between two people before, and after, it blooms into love. The story feels real which is what makes it such a great read.

This author was new to me (thanks Booksprout for the free arc) and now I am hooked on the entire series. I will be keeping Clair Thompson on my list of favourite authors!

Ms Thompson on steroids!
Starting as a kind of BDSM 101 between friends, this quickly turns - by way of a smoldering brush fire - into an all out master class.
While things between Dahlia and Hayden seem to work exceedingly well, outside influences, preconceived notions and expectations are creeping in and doubts begin to plague both of them.
To watch them find their very own interpretation of the lifestyle feels like being a voyeur, right there with them, seeing, feeling, hearing, ...
Phew!
Suddenly it's getting hot in here!

least favorite in series…

The previous 3 books (not to include book “3.5,” the prequel to this one) are much better stories, but every book shares the same story telling style, a decent mix of eroticism and backstory. All books also share something that is very frustrating and irritating while reading, though, and that’s the incessant repetition. Throughout, the author frequently repeats rewordings of the same summaries… for example, in this book, she repeatedly re-summarizes the thoughts and actions of both main characters in the beginning: Dahlia thinking, I forced myself into his world, I thought I could handle the fantasy in action, the first experience scared me but was the most exciting experience, etc… and each re-summary will be several paragraphs. I didn’t count, but I’m pretty sure this specific summary is repeated throughout the book like 10+ times. And considering it’s not the only experience repeatedly brought up, it’s kind of exhausting and definitely irritating. This seems to be habitual with this particular author, as I’ve experienced this irritation in each of her books in this series so far. This space, if length is important, could be taken up with more bdsm scenes, and if there really is a need to remind the reader of the past, to stress the catharses or character transformation, it’s certainly not necessary to be so detailed and could be edited down to a sentence or two instead of a full page or two.
That being said, Thompson is definitely a much better writer than many others who publish in this sub-genre of bdsm romance- I certainly appreciate that the writing is a decent balance between erotic and romance (I could deal with a bit less lovey-dovey, but it’s not more love than I can deal with 😆), the grammar is acceptable, there’s obviously an editor involved, the characters are well developed and consistent, and the author is pretty obviously herself involved in “The scene,” or has been/ has experienced the reality of these types of scenes and relationships- They May be dramatized and polished, and characters are mostly beautiful, chiseled, well-endowed or tight, wealthy- outwardly perfect, it is still fantasy!- but otherwise are fairly realistic personality-wise.

Beautifully portrayed struggle of the heart, mind and body.

Dahlia is a strong, courageous woman, to recognize and reconcile her submissive self, needing to submit versus her dominant, confident self in the workforce.

Some of Hayden's perceived relationship expectations are not realistic, and made me laugh as in his fantasies, he neglects to take into consideration her personality and his feelings.
While trying not to influence or persuade her to an outcome he desires, as he facilitates her exploration in the lifestyle, he falls into the trap of training her to be a perfect slave girl for himself. He comes over as a bit arrogant, and you just know he is going to have a wee bit of personal growth coming to him.

The very real emotions communicated between the characters are a joy to become invested with as Dahlia and Hayden struggle their way to their unique relationship within their chosen dynamic.

There is a core of truth to all Claire Thompson novels, this makes them very relatable even if you are not in the lifestyle. Fantasies are just that, fantasies. Delightful, titillating and absorbing as they are played out in technicolor in your imagination and between the pages of your favourite book

'More Than a Dare' is the fourth book in Claire Thompson's "Master's Club" series. If you've been following the series, you'll remember we just had the prequel of this book in book 3.5 'Dare to be Naughty' giving us the introduction to Dahlia and Hayden's dynamic. But now that Dahlia has decided to take the plunge she's not completely sure she can tolerate the depth of an M/s relationship and all that comes with it. Besides, she still wants her career as a surgeon. How is she going to be able to do that and be Hayden's slave? By the same token, Hayden has always thought he'd have a 24/7 M/s relationship when he took the plunge but somehow the reality of the situation doesn't match up with what he's had in mind all this time. Claire Thompson has given these two characters such flawed personalities and combustible chemistry it's near impossible not to be relatable. Great writing, great storyline.

Wow! This book is not for the faint of heart but it’s tantalizing, extreme, exciting and has all the bells and whistles of a true BDSM lifestyle. Dahlia and Hayden really put a fire in my belly and a blush on my cheeks with their intense D/s relationship and the sexual antics. Be sure to have a towel on hand for those scenes. Overall, this love story felt more like an explorative journey for Dahlia at first and soon became clear that was also true for Hayden and his previous Dom tendencies. Both H & h truly made discoveries that were unexpected and very challenging at times but together they still achieved that HEA that I totally crave in the books I choose to read. Another great book in the Masters Club series.

Mixed feelings about this book…

I read a lot by this author. I have very mixed feelings about this book. While the main characters are two strong, educated people I wonder if they was some manipulation going on in this book and it troubled me a bit. I like the story, however, and I will read other books by this author. Overall, I enjoyed this series. Some of the scenes in this book are dark…beware…there might be triggers. I’m still giving this book 4 stars because I thought it was well-written and it kept me highly engaged throughout the whole story. If BDSM is your genre, then definitely read this book.

Another solid read by one of my favorite authors Claire Thompson. Dahlia and Hayden are both doctors, co workers, and very attracted to each other. But, Hayden is a dom and doesn't do vanilla, but Dahlia is BDSM-curious and wants to learn more. Hayden is thrilled to be her teacher. These two are well written characters, the scenes intense, the sizzle and steam is hot and so much more. Great addition to the Master's Club series and can be read with your subscription to Kindle Unlimited for free.

What an awesome book - story line is perfect, hotness is off the charts. This book takes you through Dahlia's experience going from newbie in the kin& world to experienced as her and Hayden's relationship grows into their perfect world. I was very impressed with Claire's descriptions of all the action and the progression of the story. Great - Great book - wish I could give it 6 stars!! I haven't read books 1 & 2 - but they are next! Just WOW!!!

Great Sexy Read!

Love all of Claire Thompson books. She's the real deal in BDSM romance. This book did not disappoint. Great to have a strong, intelligent and educated submissive. Need more like this representation of a submissive. Also liked Dom did not have "all the answers" just because he's a Dom.

I liked the rest of the series. not this one.

This book was so awful. It was so far off from the rest of the series, it felt like a different author wrote it. The entire story felt so disillusioned and honestly, quite boring. I’d had more expectations for Hayden based on his character in the other books preceding this one. It’s not even the same personality. Awful.

This was a good way to end this series of books. For those who don't understand BDSM, don't bother reading this series. Anyone who has dabbled or is drawn to this lifestyle, you'll enjoy this.

“I love feeling her pulse beneath my fingers…”

Ok, full disclosure, when I found out that the prequel to this story is in the Christmas at the Club anthology, a book I already own, I had to read it first. I’m so happy I did. I was able to get to know Hayden and Dahlia before the holiday party. I saw the friendship they already had, the way Hayden acted around her then, the beginnings of their attraction to each other, her first introduction to his world and the awakening of her inner submissiveness. I believe totally that without this the story in this book would have begun too abruptly and I wouldn’t have connected with the characters as much or understood them as well. I recommend anyone reading this to read the prequel first. If you don’t have the anthology, which is no longer available, it’s ok. Claire has released the prequel as a short little novella called Dare to be Naughty. Take the time to read it. Trust me. It will make this wonderful book so much better. As for the other books in the series, I haven’t read any of them yet. Surprisingly Claire is a new author to me. Somehow I’ve never read anything else by her although I did discover books one and three of this series on my gigantic TBR list. (I often joke that my TBR list is like Hermione’s little beaded bag!)

Now that I’ve got that part done, I’m going to move on to my review of the actual book. I will say, I don’t include a summary of a book’s plot in my reviews. The blurb does that and anything more is a spoiler to me. Instead I want to tell you how much I loved this book as well as Dahlia and Hayden. They were so wonderful together. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and both of them grow. They learned so much about themselves as well as each other and in a way, I envy them. What they have by the end of the book is incredible and I know they will have a happy and loving life together. This is one of the main reasons why I read romance novels. They are both such strong, amazing people and their chemistry was incredible. This is not a dark bdsm romance, nor is it bdsm lite. Claire found a perfect balance and has presented it to us as a gift. My only regret is I wish I had read it around Christmas time. That would have made it even more perfect. But no worries. I plan to read it again come December.

I was thrilled to read Hayden’s story and to see that he finally found someone who he believes will be his match in his BDSM style! Dahlia Simon is the perfect choice! From friends and colleagues to more than friends! This book was hot, hot, hot!
Dahlia is a surgeon in the same department as Hayden is. They started meeting for breakfast in the mornings and there was an instant attraction. Hayden has always prided himself on being only with experienced subs. But Dahlia is a BDSM newbie and she is curious about his lifestyle after overhearing a conversation he was having with someone. So Hayden gives her a quick initiation and invites her to the Club for their Christmas party. Afterward he decides that she has some natural submission qualities and he’d love to be the one to help her find her inner submissive. Dahlia is very interested in exploring her submission and eager to have Hayden guide her. But as they move along she begins to have doubts about how much she can really handle. Can she really do this? It’s one thing to read it in a book, and quite another to actually do it!
During a stormy weekend she decides to stay with him and become his “slave” for the weekend. Things are moving along and Hayden is elated that he was right about her submissive tendencies and ability to handle some erotic pain. Things seem to be fine and then she puts on the brakes. What happened? Did he go too far? He doesn’t know what to think so he talks to his buddies at the Club and does a lot of soul searching. Can he be with just one woman and still be fulfilled as a BDSM Master? He knows he loves her and she loves him… so there’s only one way to find out!
I love the way this book ends and I was SO impressed with the way this story unfolded. Claire Thompson has a way with words and she writes these books so even the uninitiated (like me!) can feel the story and become immersed in the pages. If you have enjoyed her books in the past (or even if you haven’t) you should pick this one up. Ms. Thompson has written a sexy, intriguing and emotional story and you certainly can’t go wrong with an ending like this one! If I could give more than 5 stars, I most definitely would!

What a fantastically wonderful continuation of Hayden and Dahlia's tale. The author ticked every box in her delivery of this emotionally and physically intense story. We got passion, a deep connection and scorching hot BDSM along with one sexy super-Dom and a strong, determined submissive.

In Dare to be Naughty we first meet the two doctors who are intensely attracted to one another. Hayden is very clear from the off that he is only interested in a full BDSM dynamic and that he doesn't do relationships. Dahlia's only experience is from the BDSM romances she voraciously reads. A throwaway comment, then an overheard conversation, leads them to embark on an exploration of Dahlia's submissive nature. Whilst their chemistry is intense and Dahlia enjoys all the kinky delights Hayden introduces her to, she isn't sure she has it in her to be what he needs.

You need to read this one with gloves on it's so hot. The pages are filled with intense BDSM action but not once did it feel repetitive or boring, because the author cleverly weaves believable thoughts, emotions and reactions into every moment. We got the perfect balance of intimate one-on-one action and time spent in non-sexual situations, both as a couple and individually with others. I loved Dahlia's conversations with both her old friend and her new, kinky ones. They allowed us to witness her growth as a submissive, and the discovery of her own needs wants and desires.

My favourite thing was that whilst this is entertaining fiction, the author didn't sugarcoat everything. We had fumbles, stumbles and internal battles - particularly when Dahlia realised not all aspects of submission were sexy or fun. Mistakes were made on both sides but the tenets of SSC/RACK were observed, as was the importance of communication. If you are looking for a BDSM erotic romance, with believable characters and a wonderful love story, then you need to look no further than this one.

Claire Thompson does it again! Her Masters Series is one that anyone interested in BDSM Romance should definitely read! Each book in the series gets better and better if that's even possible! Be prepared for the heat! There is no way you are reading this without getting turned on! LOL!

Hayden and Dahlia are both strong, independent individuals who are leaders in their field as surgeons. They have a newfound friendship that is taken to new heights when they enter into a BDSM relationship. Problem is Hayden is a Master taking on a newbie and trying to make her a full time slave. Dahlia has no idea if that is something she can handle or even wants. I love the way this story delves into the many emotions they both feel in trying to figure out how to make things work between them. While I've never been in this type of relationship, the author writes this in such a realistic way, I find myself fully involved in their lives and quite frankly, making me want what they have! There is such strong chemistry between them, and a connection to each other that is soul deep. While there are many struggles and conflicts throughout the story, the love and respect for each other shine through.

If you are looking for a book that gives you, in my opinion, a truly realistic BDSM love story, this is the one for you. Every book in this series will pull you in and you will not want to put them down. I recommend starting from the beginning of the series as there are some overlapping characters throughout. Claire Thompson never disappoints!

Another fine story from Claire Thompson’s Masters Club Series. It follows the same pattern as the previous stories, all of which I have read, reviewed and enjoyed. In this story, Hayden is a young orthopedic doctor who has a successful career at a big city hospital. He meets Dahlia, a new orthopedic doctor at the hospital and they become friends at work. She learns that he is involved in a BDSM club, the Masters Club, and gets him to invite her – something that happens in the prequel to this book, “Dare to be Naughty.” In the beginning of this book, Dahlia and Hayden embark on a very sensual, well explained exploration of BDSM, in which some of her fantasies are part of the activities in their mutual exploration – and he enjoys teaching her the pleasures that can be derived from becoming submissive. Being a strong, independent woman, it is hard for her to adjust to the idea of becoming submissive, but she goes at it enthusiastically, and she and Hayden begin to form a strong and loving connection with each other. As always, there are problems along the way and they both need to see their way through them in order to make the relationship a permanent one. I liked both characters; they were true to themselves and their objectives, as they gradually modified themselves in order to let the relationship develop between them. I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

*** Spoiler Alert***. While I enjoyed the novella teaser with Hayden and Dahlia, we saw a true darker side to Hayden in this book. I had a hard time enjoying this book as I honestly don’t think someone so new to BDSm would enjoy a whip or a cane. Then for Hayden to put her through everything of a 24/7 slave is so beyond realistic in my opinion. Are women that weak that they need to ask permission to speak and use the bathroom? Dahlia went through the rigors of med school..she should be extremely strong and independent, not wanting to be lead around by a jerk who shouldn’t even be a Dom. Do women really think all the pain and bruises are worth an intense organism? I guess I don’t like sadistic Doms and can’t understand the mindset of the women who enjoy that type of abuse. Then to be caged and gagged was just totally wrong in my opinion. He went way to far. Also, he kept on saying take the pain for your Master. WTF? I honestly agreed with Naomi, her friend in the beginning. This type of Dom who doesn’t know when to stop can lead to serious abuse and consequences. It’s funny, how Hayden realized that at the end. That’s too late in my opinion. The abuse already took place. Thank god this is a work of fiction as I would seriously tell his Sub to seek counseling and shelter if it wasn’t. I received an advanced reader copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the fourth book in this series. It features Dahlia Simon, a young orthopedic surgeon. And Hayden Pierce, also an orthopedic surgeon and a Head Master at Masters Club New York. They start out as friends and colleagues meeting for breakfast in the cafeteria before their days start. Somehow he teasingly let slip something about whips and chains. And Dahlia used her snark to respond. So Hayden assumes that they will be staying just friends. But the next breakfast she overhears a bit of his phone conversation and tries to restart their link. You see she has been fantasizing about About BDSM for years and maybe this is her chance. From there the roller coaster ride begins. Hayden has always assumed he would settle down with a full time 24/7 Master and slave relationship. And Dahlia doesn’t know if she can commit to that 24/7. She still wants to pursue her career. And while she has never felt more alive when they scene she balks at giving herself over completely. Can they learn to communicate better? Can Hayden realize that real life relationships require compromise? Well they do have a Happily Ever After. And lots of swoon worthy moments. I think Claire Thompson is the best at BDSM romance.

I did receive an advance copy for my honest review.
