While the story was intriguing, Angelo wasn’t that cool, his behaviour didn’t excite me completely, repetitions and plot holes kept appearing.
There were a couple of remarkable twists, the suspense was great and all in all this duet had an originality.
I enjoyed it. I don’t know what happened to Petrov’s niece and just vanished...

This was a perfect ending to Angelo and Rayne's story. The series will continue on, and I am so looking forward to it. I think we even get a glimpse at the ending of who the next installment will even be about, and I am hoping we have not seen the last of Angelo and Rayne.
Book two ends right where book one ended. We are lost with how Angelo is treating Rayne, but soon his feelings overcome his anger and he soon realizes that this is his one and only Rayne. Together they decide to join forces and plan on getting revenge for both Mia and Angelo. They are a powerhouse of emotions and collide like a steamy fireball. The authors did a great job at keeping Rayne the silent and strong character. I loved how she was strong when she needed to and unsure when she was alone. She was willing to do ANYTHING for her sister.
The ending gives you that "I knew it" sensation and it was very satisfying' It does not leave you wanting or wondering what happened next. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what Book 3 has in store for us!

Yesssss! Fortress Of The Queen was the perfect wrap up to one of the best mafia romance duets I have read and I feel completely satisfied with how everything is settled and the intricate mystery of the “who” is solved. I have loved the devoted relationship between Angelo Medici and his “Carina” aka “Little Fox.” They are the perfect soulmates, two halves of an apple, and they deserve all the happiness they get. All the members of the Medici family as well as Enzo have made quite an impression and I would love nothing more to read each and everyone of their stories by the talented author twins Mackenzy and Dakotah Fox🙏🏻❤️

What a beautifully written conclusion to Angelo and Rayne’s story!
Dakotah and Mackenzy certainly have a way with words and have the ability to completely consume you in their stories. I definitely didn't want this one to end AT ALL, what a page-turner.
This book picks up right where we left off in book 1 and trust me when I tell you there is plenty of tension, drama, plot twists, and action in this one, with a few secrets I didn't predict.
I loved the dynamic between Angelo and Rayne, they are the perfect match and watching them overcome betrayal was magical, and that dirty mouth of his doesn't go astray. Angelo just gets better and better! He is such a mysterious, dark, and broody character and his Carina is the perfect balance of sweetness and light to his dark. The inner dialogue is perfection and the tension between the two is palpable!
I have seriously loved getting to know these two characters and I can't wait to dive back into their world with Marco's story!

The final book in this mafia intense duet brought the spice, the mystery, and the biggest plot twist! The Fox sisters definitely know how to bring the heat! I really enjoyed this book, the well developed plot was nicely complemented by the steamy scenes.
This tale picks up immediately where the 1st book left us hanging. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but Rayne is in quite the conundrum. Has she gone too far in her quest to save her sister? To the point that it’s a detriment to her own life?
Angelo, dark, broody, and dangerous believes he’s been betrayed… Refusing to listen to reason, he wants his pound of flesh. However, his feelings seem to be getting in the way… Will he accept the facts as they happened? Or will all of the secrets and schemes cause the taught string of their relationship to finally break?
I thoroughly enjoyed this duet, but I especially loved how everything unraveled. In the back of my head, I wondered if a certain someone may be involved, but way the story was written kept me guessing through the end. This book is so much more than your typical “con the don” scenario. The tension was palpable, the characters were real and the internal dialogue was on point. I cannot wait for the Book 3 stand-alone with Marcos’ story!!
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spice-intense mafia romance!

I was so in love with the first book and wow this book was the perfect ending to Rayne and Angelo's story.
I am happy to hear that this series will continue (makes me so happy).

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
I tried to stay away. Even when everything fell apart, when I became his prisoner and my world tumbled out from under my feet. I didn't known then that he would still own my heart. My soul. My very being. And I want to be his Queen.
I got lucky with this series and had to read Fortress of the King first before I could read and review Fortress of the Queen. That book was so amazing and you guys too have to read it first or you are going to be lost. I devoured it and got to dive right in to the second part of Angelo and Carina's story. This book does not end on a cliff so you should be happy about that. I though could have read about this couple for forever and I hope we get to see them in more books in this series. This book picks right up where Fortress of the King left off and we find that Mia has betrayed Angelo in the worst way possible and he is furious. But I also feels like he gets why she did it but he really doesn't like that they guys that work from him believe her. Carina's sister Mia is missing and things have taken a crazy twist that she didn't see coming and things have just gotten a lot more crazy and much more dangerous of Mia and Carina. She has to be found. She has to be alive. She is all that Carina has in this world as far as family goes. She is desperate and sad while determined not to lose her sister. Can she get to her in time and who in the world is trying to hurt her and Angelo so badly. I loved reading this book. It kept me on my toes and one the edge of my seat. I didn't figure out who was doing it but I do not feel like a lot of people will see it coming either. That's the fun thing about reading. You never know what adventure you will ge in to and how it will all turn out. I loved the story. I loved the characters and I loved that I found a new set of authors to follow and read. I had never read a Dakotah or Mackenzy Fox book before. You would never know that two people wrote this book. I don't know why I haven't discovered them before now but now I won't be missing anything they write.

AMAZING! The conclusion to Angelo and Rayne’s story had me on the edge of my seat, bursting with anticipation of how it was all going to end. I had my suspicions after the way the first book ended on who was involved but I was not prepared for how crazy, twisted and violent the ending was going to be. It was one hell of a dark, gritty, and bloody rollercoaster ride that was utterly thrilling from beginning to end. The story is packed with suspense, twists and turns and so many emotions that I may have shed a tear or two. The chemistry between Angelo and Rayne only gets hotter and more explosive as the story progresses and I was all for it!!!
Another really well written mafia story by this amazing sister team. They give us everything we could want in a good mafia story - mystery, suspense, spiciness, blood, violence, passion, betrayal and drama.
I loved every second of this duet and I can’t wait to see what they bring us next.

The book starts right where book 1 ended. Everything must go according to plan to get Rayne’s sister back. But Angelo no longer trusts Rayne. How will they work together if he can’t trust her?
Rayne has wormed her way into the Medici family under false pretenses. But the way she feels about Angelo is anything but a farce. The plan to flush out the Medici’s enemies works. Will their enemy be who they suspected? Will it be someone they never saw coming?
There was more action in this book which made it a quick read. I also loved the struggle that Angelo had between betrayal and his feelings for Rayne. These two are a passionate couple which makes their intimacy sooooo spicy! And I freaking loved the epilogues! And now I’m excited about Marco’s story next.

Rayne already surrendered to her feelings for him. Will Angelo fight through the haze of betrayal and embrace his feelings? Will they survive to win their HEA or be ripped apart by death?
I'm in love with the Medici Mafia world! I'm so glad these talented sisters are writing more in this universe! This book answered all the questions. I may have predicted some things but not the extent of it. I can’t wait to see where we go next in this world. I highly recommend this read to all mafia lovers. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This is book 2 in the Medici Mafia Series. This takes off right after Fortress of the King. I am still astounded by this author duo and their new mafia series. This duet was INCREDIBLE. Book 1 left us with a crazy cliffhanger, and I have been waiting for this since the end of book 1! When things take a very dangerous turn between Rayne and Angelo, the dynamics between the two of them take a huge turn. They need to work together to get Rayne’s sister Mia back, and things get more dangerous than they imagined. Rayne is ready and willing to do things she never had imagined doing to get her back.
The suspense in this book was nonstop and kept me reading until this book was finished in one night. These two authors know how to bring the steam, Angelo and Rayne are FIRE. The twist that is thrown at you, I never saw coming. It had me screaming profanities as I was reading. I devoured this book, I can’t get enough of this world this duo created, and I can’t wait for more.
I can’t praise this enough, absolutely outstanding! As usual, they will be continue to be a one click read for me!

The chemistry and tension between Angelo and Rayne throughout the majority of this book had me swooning. I really love Angelo! He is loyal, protective, and ruthless which is just what Rayne needs with everything going on in her life. I like Rayne and her fierceness. She doesn't just bow down to Angelo even when that is what he demands. Their story kept me on the edge of my seat especially with some of those steamy scenes!
About half way through the book, I was able to figure out who was causing the problems for Angelo and Rayne but I didn't expect how it would all turn out. I love a good twist in a book! I am excited there are going to be future books with characters from these books. I really want more Enzo in my life!

If there is one thing these authors are good at it is giving us a satisfying ending.
I loved Rayne and how she would do absolutely anything for the ones she loved, I also love how she didn’t let the H walk all over her even when he was sulking and denying they were meant to be.
The action is awesome and helps wrap the story up nicely, as well as setting up future stories for other characters.
The steam was off the charts and I was dying to get to the next kiss as soon as the last ended.
I highly recommend this duet to anyone that loves a strong heroine and the silent grumpy type!

Fortress of the Queen is the 2nd book in the Medici Mafia Series. Let me tell you that it did not disappoint.
This book picked up right where the first one ended. There was so much spice 🌶 and the attraction between Angelo and Rayne was so hot🔥. The story kept flowing and there was never a dull moment.
So many twists and and OMG moments.
Enzo is my new favourite and hopefully he will get his own book.
The ending of the book wrapped it up so perfectly and even left you hanging with some unanswered questions, which will hopefully be answered in the 3rd book Fortress of the heart.

Don’t walk, definitely run and add this to your TBR especially if you love a good mafia romance .

This is the second book in the Medici Mafia series meaning you have to read book one before you read this.
In the first book, you of course meet Angelo and Rayne learning their personal stories. While reading book one you get to develop a relationship with them as they navigate their romantic relationship. From the first page, I was hooked and invested until the very end hence it ends in a cliffhanger. In the meantime, I sat twiddling my thumbs waiting for the Fox twins to release this one. Let's just say it was worth the wait. This couple was explosive not only in but out of the bedroom. While I did question a few things it did not take away from the investment I had in this story. Rayne was simply a woman with a backbone and I ate it up. Angelo while he struggled with the directions of which way to go that man was still my book boyfriend. I mean a mafia don yep sign me up. Then we toss in Angelo brothers and you get a scorching book. I need more of his brothers and his sister.

I can't stay away
As always Fox's books suck me in and level med drain dry with a hangover for more so bad. If you love Dark Romance - mafia books, you are in for the best treat. I promise you. I'm addicted < for life in the good book way ;-)

The duets concludes with this book and I’m glad the rest of the Medicis will get a chance for their stories to be told because they are just screaming for it.
Rayne and Angelo have quite a bit to overcome in this book. He’s still not over the fact she was sent to take him out though he does understand it was to save her sister.
Prepare yourself for heavy steam, action, and a twist or two that might surprise you. Love their dynamic and how they compliment each other so well. They bring out the best in each other and that’s what counts.

This book was fantastic and that once I started I could not put it down. It moves along at a pace which makes for a relaxing and enjoyable read. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you know them and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. This book needs to be read, you will not be sorry that you did.

Holy Moly so book two Angelo is determined and vengeful but he acted off emotions. I don’t want to spoil it but it was really really good. They had steam and of course held my attention completely. Kudos to a fantastic story that I highly recommend reading.

Man oh man these sisters did it again!! This was the perfect ending to Angelo and Rayne! I loved how many twist and turns there were! Especially because you didn't see them coming! I can't wait for Marcos book!!!

I couldn't wait for this book after book one's cliffhanger and it was so worth the wait. Rayne and Angelo story was perfect. This book had some major twist and omg moments. They also brought in detail to other characters that I so need their story. I can't wait for the next Medici Mafia book.

Wow. This is the second part and the conclusion to this story. The chemistry between Angelo and Rayne is not diminished at all. As secrets unfold and we find out who is responsible, it is obvious that these two are in love and ultimately going to protect each other at all costs.
There is so much suspense, action and mystery that I could not put this book down. This two part series is hands down one of the most well written and satisfying series I have read this year.
I look forward to more stories related to characters met in these fantastic books.

Oh my!! This second book is the ending to the story we needed! It was so good! I’m happy that Mackenzy and Dakota decided to make it two books! Even though I didn’t like the cliffhanger… Go get both of them!
I started to think that the enemy came from within. But I didn’t think it was the one that it was. I’m not gonna spoiled who! I’m not spoiling that much 😘

What a PHENOMENAL ending to this duet! Lemme tell you...Angelo Medici may be the ultimate book boyfriend! Every bit of him just makes me swoon! Book two picks up right where the first leaves off and does not allow down until the book is over! It's got twists, turns, surprises and scenes with some delicious dirty talk and action 👇🏼

This is the second book in the Medici Mafia series and the conclusion to Angelo and Raynes story. It picks up right where book 1 left off, Angelo has found out that Rayne has betrayed him and he is pissed!!
His anger mixed with his feelings for Rayne created so much tension between the two of them and I was loving every second. This book was a ride from the start. Angelo had to go to some pretty extreme measures to find out who was targeting him and there was lots of action and mystery, it was hard to put the book down!
It was a great ending for this duet and I can’t wait to see which characters the next books will be about. I have a few ideas about who I want it to be, I hope I am right 😆.
