A young woman forced into a marriage with her secret crush—a dream come true? Or a nightmare in the making?
Small-town life can be a challenge—especially if your mother runs a strip club for curvy girls.
Between dealing with money-grubbing mafiosos and renegade bikers who are tearing up our bar, we’ve got our hands full.
And then, Mom gets sick. The sort of sick that makes her plans for the future – my future. Running this business alone is too dangerous for a young woman like me.
She thinks she’s got the perfect solution—an arranged marriage to none other than Mack, our regular and the man I’ve been secretly crushing on for a long time.
The worry is not good for her, so I reluctantly agree.
Mack is a decade older than me, but he’s sinfully hot and has an alpha attitude to match. He doesn’t hesitate to use his fists when he stands up to the men fighting in my club, yet he always treats our dancers respectfully and is exceedingly tender with me.
And me? I have such dirty fantasies about him that I fear our marriage arrangement is at risk of becoming the real thing. If only he felt the same way about me... While battling our demons, navigating married life, and understanding our true feelings, we are dealt another a stranger emerges from the shadows, claiming to be my long-lost father.
But is he? Or am I in more danger than even Mack can handle?

So we have Mack and Miranda, two people who are attracted to each other and flirt like crazy. Miranda, who is dealing with a lot of pressure from her mom, just acts like a complete brat when she's forced/encouraged to marry Mack to make her mom happy. Mack, who is crazy about Miranda, can't get his foot out of his mouth to actually try and make her love him.
The mixed signals between these two were insane and for two people who really seemed to like each other, they couldn't get out of their way to be together and it took more than 1/2 the book before the started to make progress in that direction.
Not a lot of steam or even chemistry. They both seemed really immature about their feelings and the situation. It was very disappointing because Mack was a great character. I even liked parts of Miranda until she wasn't able to act like an adult. I skimmed the last 2 chapters because I just wanted it to be over.

This is the eleventh book in the Dark Slayers MC series and it does not disappoint in the protective, sexy male character. Mack is definitely all of that and a bag of chips! This one starts out with Carl Manson, aka Mack, sitting at the local strip club bar watching and drooling over the only woman he's ever craved, Miranda Peng. She's the bartender and co-owner of this particular club. He's sitting in his normal seat at the bar, he sits there many nights of the week, it's where he has perfect view of her gorgeous body. He's had a crush on her for a long time as he can remember and the only thing holding him back from asking her out is their age difference, he's 39 and she's 23. He feels like a dirty old man when they flirt with each other as they often do.On this night, he's asking her how her mother is doing and she's telling him that she's not doing that great and that they have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to see if they see what's going on when a rude customer calls over to her to hurry up and bring his beer to him before it gets warm, along with some insults. Mack notices who it is, a wanna be biker, whose had too much to drink already. So he takes the beer from Miranda's hand, asks her if the guy is running a tab and when she says no, he says he'll see him to the door. On his way to deliver the beer to the rude guy a Twisted Metal MC prospect makes some unwarranted comments to him so he clocked him in the jaw and continues on his way to give the beer to the rude customer. He delivers it to the guy and tells him that that's his last one, that he's being cut off. Rude guy doesn't take the news too well and before he knows it he has the mug of beer dumped on his head and is being pinned to the wall by Mack who ends up throwing him out but not before the guy swipes all the empty glassware from his table. Mack ends up with the guy's wallet which he swipes a hundred dollars from as well as the guy's license. The money is to cover the glasses he broke and the license is for him to know where to find the guy, if he ever comes back and starts more trouble. On the way back to his coveted stool at the bar, he notices the prospect staring into his beer mug with his tooth and blood on the floor from when Mack clocked him. The prospect asks if Mack is going to make him leave as well to which Mack replies no that he didn't disrespect Miranda, but that he disrespected Mack and they solved that issue already, but he did need to clean the tooth and blood up from the floor. The prospect whines to him that he'll clean it later. Mack grabs him by the back of the neck, flings him to the floor and declares that he's going to clean it now, otherwise he was disrespecting the bar where all the different club brothers gather, thereby disrespecting all of them. Mack insisted that he now clean it up with his tongue. The prospect starts to argue with Mack when from the doorway comes the menacing voice of his MC president, Steel, who tells him to do it before he rips that Prospect patch right off his cut. Mack makes his way over to Steel and congratulates him on becoming the new president of the Twisted Metal MC and he didn't get voted in which is how most MCs operate but with the Twisted Metal MC you had to kill the president to take his place. After talking a little while Steel leaves and Mack goes back to the bar where he and Miranda start flirting with each other. It gets mighty uncomfortable for Mack and he ends up hightailing it out of there. The next day comes, Miranda and her mother are at the doctor's office where her mom gets the heartbreaking diagnosis of Parkinson's disease; although there is no definitive test to prove it, she is exhibiting all the classic symptoms of it. So, the doctor is going to treat her as if that's what she has. On the way back from the doctor's office Mrs. Peng informs her daughter that she has gathered a list of men of possible husbands for Miranda. That Miranda will need someone to take care of her because she will not be around for long due to the disease. She tells Miranda that she and Miranda's father were an arranged marriage and it worked out wonderfully for her until he died in the war. Miranda knows that this is part of her Korean heritage and half heartedly agrees to do as her mother wishes. Miranda's mother has already spoken with another Korean lady who runs a dating site and they've compiled a list of eligible bachelors for them to choose from. Her mother has a notebook with all of the men on the list with photos and all are older because her mother paid attention to her and noticed that she tended to like older men. They get back home and Miranda's mom goes rest in her bedroom and leaves her matchmaking notebook out Miranda looks at her candidates for marriage. Most of the men in the notebook were Asian and it wasn't until the middle that the candidates become diverse in nationality and were younger. It is there that she sees the most perfect candidate of all.... it's Carl Manson, Mack, her crush. She also notices a date and time three days away; assuming it's for an interview she makes note of both. She also discovers that he owns his own business, eight ice cream shops in the tri-state area. Fast forward three days and Mack is meeting Miranda's mother for what he thinks is a meeting to tell him to stay away from her daughter but to his shock and surprise, she's interviewing him to marry her daughter. Mrs. Peng seems to be quite satisfied with his answers, but what she doesn't know is that her daughter is nearby listening to everything being said and she's disappointed with his answers because he seems uninterested in becoming her husband. Later on, her mother chooses Mack and he is offered the opportunity to marry Miranda. He quickly jumps at that offer because in all of his wildest dreams he couldn't imagine marrying the girl of his dreams, Miranda. Mack approaches his club brothers and later his grandmother, who raised him when his parents died, with the proposition of marrying Miranda to get their opinions on it. He decides to accept the offer of an arranged marriage from Miranda's mother and shows up at their apartment located above their bar/ strip club. He enters their apartment and is amazed at the beautiful decor. He compliments Mrs. Peng about it and she says that it was all from her deceased husband, his family heirlooms that she couldn't part with. He notices how dressed up Mrs. Peng and Miranda are and asks if this is some sort of special occasion because he felt as though he was underdressed. Mrs. Peng tells him no, that this was their way of presenting the best they had to offer and that it was a special occasion for them. Mrs. Peng invites him to sit down. She then asks him if he's made a decision about the match between him and her daughter. He tells her that he has, but he has some stipulations and asks if they'd like to hear them. They answer in the affirmative and he proceeds to tell them what they are. Firstly, both of them are to move into his house. Secondly he wants a prenup to outline all their expectations from one another as well as set up Miranda for success should their marriage fail and he'd like to hold off consummating the marriage because of him being so much older than her, he didn't want it to seem like an older person forcing himself on to a partner much younger. It's at this point that Miranda gets up and leaves the apartment, getting into her car and driving off. Mrs. Peng tells him that all will be well with Miranda and that she'll be in touch with him concerning the marriage proposal; it'll be sooner rather than later. He leaves the apartment heading towards the highway to head home when he comes around a corner on the road he spots Miranda's car broken down on the side of the road with her still in it. He approaches the car and tells her to get out of the car that he's going to take her back home. She asks him nicely not to bring her home, it's her one night off from the bar and she doesn't want to go back home where her mom is going to pester her to talk about her feelings. He tells her that he'll take her to Slayer's clubhouse and she can drink to her heart's content; he'll keep her safe and drop her off back home by dawn. He escorts her to his bike when he realizes that she's still in her fancy Korean dress. She has to hike her dress up in order to straddle his motorcycle and he gets very uncomfortable in the groin area which will only get worse, because he has to sit between her legs in order to drive. They get to the clubhouse and he has to mean mug his fellow MC brothers to ward them away from his tempting little Korean morsel. She is called over by Phoebe, who she knows as a fellow bar owner and who happens to be the wife of a Dark Slayer member, Teeny. They all sit together and begin conversing when Teeny let's it slip that Mack brought it to the MC brothers attention about the arranged marriage contract between him and Miranda. Everything comes crashing down at this point. Phoebe is fuming at Teeny and Mack, Miranda is hurt by what she heard and basically tells Mack that it looks like she doesn't know him at all. Before long, Storm, MC's president, bursts on the scene and wants to know why the women are all upset. Phoebe grabs Miranda and tells Storm that it's just the usual b.s. with the Slayers, always walking all over women and deciding what happens in their lives. She and Miranda storm off and tell the men to stay away from them. Miranda is over at Phoebe's house when they hear the roar of motorcycles. When Miranda looks out she sees that it's her best friend Cora. Phoebe tells her to stay back that she's with the Twisted Metal MC and they're dangerous and nothing but trouble. She explains to Phoebe that Cora is her best friend, is the old lady of the Twisted Metal MC's president,Steel, and a fellow woman business owner, she owns the town's bakery/coffee shop. Phoebe let's Cora into the house, only after Steel leaves. Cora explains that she came looking for her after Miranda's mother told her that she took off after a meeting with Mack. She explains that she there because Mack did something stupid again. Phoebe offers to mix the girls up some specialty drinks she was working on. They have several drinks and share some girl talk. Before long they pass out. Miranda wakes up and sees Cora sneaking out of the house so she grabs her stuff and follows her out. When they get to the porch, Cora says that she new Phoebe was a wild one but never expected her to be so nice but she didn't much like the Twisted Metal MC. Miranda explains to her that the previous president of that MC tried to gang rape her, not that they did but it was a close call. They continue walking into a small forest grove and exit on the other. Cora explains to Miranda how Steel became the new president of the Twisted Metal, they settled disputes by going into a large cage. Two men go in and only one man exits. Before long, the roar of motorcycles can be heard and Steel is leading the way. They pull up to the girls and Cora hops on the back of Steel's bike and Miranda gets on behind another biker. They get to Miranda's house where she sees Mack, her mom and another unknown older woman all standing in the front yard. There's a brief standoff between Mack and Steel. Miranda decides to stay there. She thanks the driver who drove her back and tells Cora that she'll call her later. She tells her mom she's going to take a shower and that's exactly what she does. She hears the rumble of a motorcycle and assumes it was Mack driving away so she lets her guard down, finishes getting dressed and goes to the kitchen where she finds her mom, the unknown older woman, Mack, Storm and his wife. She sits at the table and slowly drinks a cup of coffee when Storm tells her that he's there to apologize to her for the entire situation. He explains that it was all his bad advice to Mack that brought everything about. He tells her that he told Mack to bring up the marriage contract in their club meeting instead of talking it over with a select few of his good friends; it was later brought to his attention that that was the wrong way to do that and he sincerely hopes that she will forgive him and especially forgive Mack. Miranda tells him that there are more things that Mack did besides that and that if things fell apart between the two of them, it was in no way his fault. Her mother then speaks up and asks that Storm and his wife step into the other room because they had private things to discuss. Storm and his wife exit the room. Mrs. Peng introduces Miranda to the unknown woman and it turns out that she is Mack's grandmother, the one who raised him. The grandmother tells her that she's pleased to welcome her to the family. Miranda quickly tells her that Mack is only one of several men who they are interviewing before making a decision to which Mrs. Peng tells her that Mack is the superior one out of all the candidates, plus she's already given her word to Mack and his grandmother. They honor their word. Her mother then explains to her what she sees of the situation with their bar and strip club. That they will need someone to protect them because she sees now that they only survived through pure luck and nothing else because it was a bad situation all around. She tells her that she and Mack already set up a deal to run their business; she was the leader of their family and therefore Miranda needs to follow her lead. Before sealing the deal, Miranda asks Mack if her mother was moving to his house with them and if she would truly be welcomed there. He tells hervthat he has more than enough room and she will have her pick of her own private area. She then looks at his grandmother and asks how she feels about an arranged marriage. She basically tells Miranda that she has no problem with it, as long as her grandson is happy. Miranda finally agrees to the marriage. Next, Miranda and Mack get married with Storm, who is a Commissioner of Civil Marriages, officiating it in a very low key ceremony with just family surrounding them. After the ceremony, Miranda walks off and leaves out the door. Mack is concerned that they forced her into this marriage. Her mother explains to him that she probably just overwhelmed right now but later on she will see that this was all for the best, just give her time. They step outside to head towards Mack's house and they discover her sipping on an iced coffee from town playing Tetris on her phone. They pile all the packed boxes into Mack's granny's SUV and agree to follow Mack to his house. They get to his house and he introduces them to his grounds keeper and cook. Then they proceeded to eat breakfast. Miranda's mother suggested that she go back to their place with Mack and help him crate the rest of their heirlooms because she can show him the more important things to grab and pack first. They get to the Peng's apartment and Miranda approaches one of the three gigantic jade jars. She removes the top of one and discovers what seems to be her father's funeral urn. They eventually make it back home to Mack's house after packing up the important items from the Peng house. The Slayer prospects that helped pack all the items are left there to keep an eye on the place until all of their possessions could be removed. In the meantime, when Mack and Miranda get home they have dinner. During this meal, Mack learns an important item about Miranda and they get into a heated argument that brings to light how little they know about each other. A couple of days pass and Mack has been avoiding her ever since their argument, it still remains unresolved between them and it weighs heavily on Miranda's mind. As she is contemplating how to solve this, she hears a yell instructing her to quickly come downstairs and when she arrives there she sees the grounds keeper carrying her mother out to the car. She gets the story of what happened while they're rushing to the hospital with her. Apparently she was found collapsed on the floor of her bedroom. Mack eventually makes it to the hospital and is there when the doctor explains what they know so far is that she had a heart attack and at some point fell and hit her head. The game plan is to treat her condition, make her as comfortable as possible and do rehab to help with the effects of the heart attack. They leave the hospital and go back to Mack's house where they go on to their separate rooms because even though they are married, they're taking things slow. Mack hears a soft knock on his and lo and behold it's Miranda and she's asking if she could sleep in his bed with him. He allows her in and they have a frank discussion about the state of their relationship, mainly the fact that she immaturely flirts with him and suddenly starts arguing with him about something he said. He tells her that he's tired of it and she interprets it as giving up on her. He tells her absolutely not. He has nothing but good feelings towards her and would like them to work on being friends before progressing towards the physical aspect of their relationship. She tells him that he promised to support her and she's tired of crying herself to sleep, alone in another room every night. She further tells him that he said to come to him if she needed anything. Well, this is her coming to him. He agrees to let her sleep in the bed with him and she immediately falls asleep in his arms. He can't help but feel how right it feels to have her in his arms and stares at the ceiling as he tries to think throughall of the thoughts bombarding him. He must have dozed off at some point because the next thing he knows is that his phone is buzzing around on the bedside table. He gets to take the call in case it's something important. It turns out to be one of the prospects he left guarding the Peng apartment and business. He tells Mack that there's an Asian man there looking to talk to Miranda claiming to be her father. He tells the prospect that is impossible because her father is dead. The prospect tells him that he remembered and told the guy that and he is still refusing to leave. Mack asks if he has an anchor tattoo on his hand, that's all Miranda remembers of her father. The prospect says that he does and a lot more. He hangs up the phone with the prospect and goes to the kitchen, decides to make breakfast as he tries to come up with a way to bring this up to his already stressed wife. Miranda enters the kitchen and immediately know something is wrong so Mack tells her that someone is at the club asking to meet with her. He then tells her that the guy is claiming to be her father. She laughs it off and says that that is false because her father is dead. They begin flirting with each which leads to a hot moment between the two of them. He doesn't take her virginity but gives her immense pleasure. Here is where I will leave you and you need to get the book to find out what happens next, but I'll leave you with this, Miranda's "back from the dead" father is a member of the Triad, basically the Asian mafia and this opens another can of worms for all involved. Buckle up because this ride is just getting strarted. I can highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance novel. On a side note, I'd just like to say that I have no idea how Aria Ray comes up with these original storylines and awesome strong male characters and their equally strong female counter parts but kudos to her for keeping them coming and entertaining the readers. Each and every one of the books in the Dark Slayers MC series has taken me on a well written escapade that totally enchants me and has me begging for more. So, more please!!.

This is book eleven in the Dark Slayers MC series where each patch member so far has their own story however, you do not need to read the prior books but it helps in getting to know the characters so each book can be read as a standalone and this one is Mack’s story. Miranda curvy sweet, raised by her mom alone after her father died in the war, her mother isn’t doing well diagnosed with Parkinson and wants her daughter cared for so currently looking for a husband for her yep, an arranged marriage kind of deal. See her mother worked two or three jobs to make a way for her daughter and when she saved enough she bought a bar and at her daughter’s suggestion turned it into a curvy girl strip club ensuring they make enough money to live on and so far it is doing well but when her mom get sick she know she needs to put plans in place with a husband who will love her girl, protect her girl, and help run the bar. Mack sexy as all get out biker, part of a brotherhood after leaving the military help start the MC for military guys who needed help adjusting after the wars they fought, also opening up a chain of ice cream shops along the way so keeping busy wasn’t a problem but the moment he walked into the curvy bar to see what it was all about one look and he was a goner as they say, he knew one women was for him but he was twice her age and why would she want an old man but ever. Boy he just didn’t know older men was her thing, but her mom knew and after interviewing and decided they would get married which started out a little rocky but in time with communication things being to get better until an imposter shows up claiming to be her father but gut instincts tell there is more to the man after some research finds out he is part of the Asian Triad of course isn’t her father, but also learned her grand parents left her with an inheritance which they refused to turn over to the Triad and they died for it, so did her father, her mother being the smart took her and ran, raising her alone now the Triad is back trying to use the fact she didn’t know her dad to gain access to the money left for her but her husband isn’t going to allow that neither are the surrounding MC’s to protect her so believe when we say this one will keep you on the edge of your seat well you better hang on because the questions are since we know he is with the Triad what were/are his intentions, what was the plan, will her husband protect her, will her mom be okay, will the MC members walk away with no casualties, did her mother make the right choice in choosing Mack for her daughter, and will they get a little peace and happiness?.

again same ol problem 7 sins of a “bored with it all.. hurry up get book, over with”, …author
again same ol problem This author literally is a one trick pony she has only 1 formula to write a template if you will…? THE 7 SINS OF A TRULY BORED AF WRITER… AND IN A HURRY TO PUBLISH Or maybe just copy pasting book after book of same trope swapping names and situations is just being a lazy greedy writer?
1. Girl/ boy meet angst
2. Immediately fall in “instalove”.
3. A heroine who is 2S2L.. girl in this modern age acts like there are not horrible men in the world. Even though she is being either stalked, targeted, threatened, previously abducted or SA, and still takes stupid risk .. (not victim blaming here BECAUSE as a @pe survivor and child SA) ..but Here is the thing. when you know you are actively being targeted and the baddy is out there just waiting for you to drop your guard.. and your are inside the club house safe and protected, but no.. “I need to live my life by my rules it can’t hurt to just go out by Myself unprotected right” wrong! 2S2L!!! I HATE THIS TROPE WITH A PASSION UNCONTESTED NOW?…Is it really a “smart” thing to just,…up and leave ? NO! IT MOST F…IS NOT! So this happened(s) in about 3/4+ of 23 books in series so that’s about 17 out of 23 books in this series alone. ONE TRICK PONY, much Sure the names of hero/heroines changes bad guys have a slight deviation and different motives for targeting the heroine. But this is a constant repeating template of a specific story trope
4. A shocker twist is revealed then never resolved.. left open ended by the end of book .. you are left scratching your head.. screaming but what about (….?) But nothing … you never hear it mentioned ever again no solution no resolution to further info .. just an open ended mystery that will never be. Solved
5. 70% through the book is filler of boy& girl loving smexing, insta love/lust under intense trauma induced situations and then bamm Girl does stupid thing drops her guard acts like the person out to get her is just par for the course.. and until she realizes it’s a life/ death/ SA situation and then wisens up… the instant before anything bad can happen she is rescued safe and all of a sudden !!
6. Author all of a sudden is bored with her story and rushes to the ending at break neck whiplash pace. As though a fuse will detonate and destroy her.. if she doesn’t end the story immediately and publish. RIGHT AWAY!
I liked this book though I didn’t know where it was going to take me, I did think the arranged marriage thing was odd but once I got invested in the book and it became clear this was something both parties wanted really then it got easier.
Mack has been an odd one in previous books, there to give his brothers advice on the more intimate issues but we’ve not really seen much more of him. I liked how in the beginning he wanted Miranda but felt that because of his age he should pass her over and let her find someone younger. Of course once the marriage deal was on the table all bets were off but in his own fumbling way Mack managed to make this harder than it needed to be, despite his best intentions. I liked how he stood by Miranda too and respected her career and decisions. He didn’t want to take over at all and believed in her abilities as a business woman.
Miranda’s snark was fabulous, she was great at sticking up for herself and whilst accepting of who Mack was, didn’t let her opinions go unheard
Once the couple has worked out how to communicate better, and the slayers had realised not everything should be up for a group vote!!, the relationship element of this book was great.
The continuation of the underlying story was also good and I enjoyed more about Steel, Cora and Elsie.

This has been one of the best series I have read. This is the story of Mack and Miranda. Miranda along with her mother, own a strip bar for curvy women. Mack goes into this bar 3 – 4 times a week to just watch over Miranda as he is totally obsessed with her, but knows that she deserves much better than him and someone closer to her age. Miranda does not know that Mack secretly has a thing for her (only it’s not really a secret to anyone else!) At the same time, Miranda has a thing for Mack and often fantasizes about him. With Miranda’s mom being sick, she decides that her daughter needs to marry and sets off to find the best match for her.
Arranged marriages are common in Miranda’s culture, and her mom only wants a husband so Miranda can be protected, cared for and loved. Let the craziness begin because Mack doesn’t do anything without checking with his brothers first which can cause some issues for Miranda. You end up with hurt feelings, resentment, miscommunication, truths, secrets, lies, a protective older man, lots of passion, dominance, temporary alliances, a few twists and the Triad moving in on the Dark Slayers territory. I hope with the Triad moving in, this means that there will be more to this series!

Mack is the 11th book in the Dark Slayers MC series. Even though it is a standalone book, it does help to have read the previous ten books for context, character insight, and perspective.
Mack has a sweet love story, one that you saw coming from previous books or at least hoped for. He and Miranda are not a likely pairing, but they are so right for each other. The wisdom of Mrs. Peng, Miranda's Mom, is also entertaining. The other MC characters from the Dark Slayers MC and Twisted Metal added to the connection to the other books in the series. These are all the characters you love and have watched develop through the different books.
The MC action is wild in this book. The addition of the Twisted Metal MC, along with Sophie's crazy brothers and their crew, Don Diavatto's crew, and the Triad, amped things up a tad. There is also a drama, a family mystery to solve, and suspense. All and all, Mack is a very entertaining addition to the Dark Slayers MC series.

Mack is a member of the Dark Slayers MC . He’s almost forty and would love to have a women of his own but the one he is really attracted to is 23 and he doesn’t think he’s in her league. Miranda likes Mack he might be older but she like’s older men especially Mack he makes her feel special. Well Miranda’s mother is sick and wanted her only daughter to get married but by being Korean it’s ok to arrange your daughters marriage. So she has picked about 20 men that might be good matches she made a book of potential husband for her and when Miranda looks through the book she finds Mack’s picture and information and marks her preference. Her mother interviews Mack and gives him the option of marrying her daughter. And after getting advice from his club brothers he excepts and they are married. But it’s not smooth sailing because he makes mistakes and so does she but also her mom’s health takes a turn and they will have to deal with a imposter that’s after something she doesn’t even know she has. So enjoy another good read!!
Mack has been hanging out at a strip club to get to know the Owner/bartender better but has decided he is too old for her. Miranda is trying to keep her head above water with running the bar and dealing with her mother's illness. Her mother decides its time for her to get married and in keeping with their Korean heritage decides on an arranged marriage. Miranda and her mother agree that Mack is the right guy and when it comes time to make the arrangements, Miranda becomes a brat. When the father she thought was dead comes calling, things spin out, secrets revealed and Mack's protective instinct kicks in. I've enjoyed this series so far but this is my least favorite - it was slow to start, very little steam or chemistry between the two MC's and I just didn't care for the characters.

This was an exciting story. Mack and Miranda have crushed on each other but Mack feels like he's too old for her. Miranda's mother has worked with a Korean Matchmaker to find the best possible match for Miranda. I loved how the two cultures in this story were interwoven together. Mack and Miranda started out pretty rough but take a better turn when Miranda is targeted by a man pretending to be her father. He's part of the Triad looking to score on what Miranda's Grandparent's put in trust for her. This story was a roller coaster of action between the two MC's working together and having the Mafia fighting the Asian criminal Triad. This was an amazing story and I highly recommend it.

This is the 11th book in this incredible series, and this is Mack and Miranda’s story, Miranda and her mom runs a strip club for curvy women, and Mack comes into the club several times a week, as he is obsessed with Miranda, but she is the only one who does not see this. When Miranda’s mom is ill, she needs to run the club on her own, which is dangerous, and her mom comes up with the solution of an arranged marriage, to Mack. This is a well written story which has an age gap, secrets, lies, passion, twists, suspense, danger, intrigue, miscommunication, rivals, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is a bit different from the rest of the series as it delves into the Korean culture and Miranda, as second generation Asian American. As her mother's health deteriorates, Miranda considers an arranged marriage with Mack. Mistakes and misunderstandings are made as the Slayers are wont to do when it comes to their women, but things are going well until a new player comes to town in the form of an Asian Triad. As a second gen myself, I loved the story as I could relate to the relationship between Miranda and her mom. I also loved how accepting and respectful Mack was of their traditions.
When Miranda's mother falls sick she consults with a matchmaker to find Miranda a husband and no one fits the part but Mack the much older MC who takes a seat each night right in front of the taps of beer that Miranda pours from in the curvy girl dance club her and her mother own. Miranda is not sure this is a good thing for her as she thinks Mack does not think of her that way but she is so wrong. Mack only sits each night watching Miranda because he can not take his eyes off of her. This is filled with suspense, danger from other parties and sweet romance with Miranda and Mack.

Secrets and suspense is what makes this book so good. Since her dad is dead Miranda’s mother has worked hard to support both of them. Her mom is sick and is bound and determined that her daughter is taken care of. Miranda was a curvy girl and had run a place that hired curvy girls and it was at this place that Mack had first seen her. Now her mother hand picked Mack to be Miranda’s future husband to make sure she was taken care of after she died.
Oh, the secrets that came out that involved the Triad and their mission regarding Miranda. Would The Dark Slayers MC be able to protect her now and what was the hidden secret that put Miranda at risk?

Mirandas life had never been that stable woth ger mother running a strip club but when her mother becomes ill and her future seems more bleak does her mother arrange for marriage with Mack to give her protection. But what starts as a fake romance soon starts to feel real but not all smooth sailing when the unexpected turns up bit is everything really as it seems? Well written a great addition to the series but can work standalone, desires, steamy scenes and more!.

This is book eleven in the Dark Slayers MC series where each patch member so far has their own story however, you do not need to read the prior books but it helps in getting to know the characters so each book can be read as a standalone and this one is Mack’s story. I liked this book though I didn’t know where it was going to take me, I did think the arranged marriage thing was odd but once I got invested in the book and it became clear this was something both parties wanted really then it got easier.
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty great book. I really enjoyed most all of the characters. This was a book of determination, match making, acceptance, and falling in love. I really enjoy Mack and Miranda story. I think the author did a great job with these two characters together. I like the way Mack and his brothers took care of business when it came to protecting his wife. This book was well written and it was straight to the point. Great reed! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
It's good to see inclusion of diverse cultures in the Dark Slayers books, this one involves Miranda Peng, an American-Korean descendant. Mack is drawn into the Korean culture by Miranda's mother and an offer of an arranged marriage. The chaos that always surrounds the Slayers ensues and then it's on like dokey kong!.

Age gap story with more action than you can imagine. The enemy of my enemy is my friend comes in handy in this story. When rivals team up to take down an even bigger foe will everyone come out alive. Can Mack and Miranda get the happy ending they dream of. Or will Miranda’s family history ruin everything? I can’t wait to see what happens next. Please tell me there is more to come in this series!.

I love this book and recommend it to everyone that love suspenseful thrillers with alot of passion, with steamy romance mixed into the fray. The characters are complex as well as very heroic. The main characters have such a steamy romance even though it took a long time for them to really realize they had chemistry that would not keep them apart.

This was a great read about Mack & Miranda. Miranda and her mom own a curvy girl strip club and Mack is someone who comes in everyday to see her even though she doesn’t realize that. Suddenly her mom is sick and forcing her into an arranged marriage with someone who is older and has had a crush on for a while. Will that be a good thing or bad?.

You got a 22-year-old Asian (Korean) chick who helps runs a strip club full of chubby/curvy chicks and you got a 30+-year-old MC biker man who is also CEO of ice cream chains. You got an age gap and arranged marriage. What an interesting couple. Let's not forget that when enemies came to their house, he got up out of the bed butt-naked and went outside guns blazing trying to protect his woman. All while in front of other bikers. Yea.....Epic. Lol
Mack is full of humor but oh boy does he mess up big with Marinda. Marinda is so confused on what she want. When the two finally get it right, its awesome & funny. Throw in unexpected crazy surprise & it gets interesting.

Really enjoyable read. Good storyline. Characters were very interesting. He is older and falls for this young owner of Curvy Girls strip club. She is really interested in him but both hold back. Thanks to the match maker Mum they are getting married “against “ their will. And story begins there..

It's not even 3 full stars for me. More like 2.5? I don't know how to feel about this book. Didn't feel much chemistry or sexual tension between Mack and Miranda. I don't even know when they had sex (as in, he took her cherry) for the first time. I feel a bit cheated? Like, there's a missing scene? I'm confused. It was an ok read, but there was something missing.
Pining over Miss Miranda of Curves for over a year Mack wasn't interested in anybody else and took on a more of a fatherly role to the younger members/ prospects of the MC. No HEA is ever plain sailing with any of the MC brothers but they get there in the end 😍 and I'm glad I liked Mack.
Age matters not in true love, Mack and Miranda proves that. I liked seeing them realize their love for one another despite their arranged marriage. What people will do for money. It truly the root of all evil. Very good story line, great characters and plot, and plenty of action.
