The Muse #1

Enchanted Lyrics

Rate this book
You know how it goes, boy meets girl, girl falls for boy, boy takes someone else home.

Or there’s this one, the one that got away comes back, and they don’t live happily ever after, because he never called.

OK, I could have called too, but really after the turns that night took, I wasn’t sure he’d even want to hear from me.
Then the rumours started, the reputation he built for himself confirmed it.
So I moved on and tried to forget about the boy from my past and the band I had spent an amazing evening getting to know.

I made some impressive mistakes as I grew into the woman I am today, but none were more spectacular than Zack.
When I first met Zack, I thought he was exactly what I needed.
Mature, safe, dependable.
Oh how wrong I was.
It took something awful for me to finally wake up and see who he really was, and in turn, I saw the girl I had become.
I hated them both.

Fuelled by the need to find myself once more I end up standing before a stage. Singing along to the songs I know so well, and staring up at those dangerously beautiful, enormously talented men from all those years ago.

Maybe one night of fun would be exactly what I need?

No strings.
No drama.
No attachments.

Not this time.

I can keep my heart safe.
So long as they do the same.

Ohh I loved this read!! Originally rated it a 4⭐️ read but after a couple days of thinking about this story I changed my rating to a 5⭐️ because I would definitely read again and own a copy of this beautiful story.

Rockstar love at its best. Asher has been a love interest since college but due to several oops moments and bad timing things didn’t work… time jump and once again she’s met with the band and is left to make some big decisions in her life.

Kellan, Elijah, & Asher just make this story even better.

Elijah had won my heart and soul in this story.

Anywho. No spoilers. Read this. You won’t regret it 💜💜

So, I mean, I was hooked at the chance of a reverse harem, but this exceeded all hopes I could have dreamt for!

A beautifully crafted story with four main characters each with their own lived experiences and traits that make them unique. The organic nature the friendship of the guys morphed into a relationship, with still hints of further exploration was wonderful.

Sexy times were great, and, at times, it became a one-handed read 😉.

Loved discovering this new to me author and am so thrilled she gave me an ARC for an honest review.

Here is a 5 star review just for you Addison.

This book was brilliant, it was fun, emotional and in some areas darn well steamy and I loved it.

CeCe what a main character she was amazing, she has her heart on her sleeve and when she loves she love fiercely.

Asher the friendzoned guy, even I loved him and loved his spirit

Kellan omg I need him in my life just to annoy the people around me

Elijah well he's the one who I thought was a complete and utter douche canoe until he wasn't. He melted the ice he managed to make around my heart.

I really wish there was more books like Enchanted Lyrics as they are so goooddd.

Well done on your book baby Addison it was perfect

Where to even start with this book?!

Well, firstly, hats off to you, Addy! I'm in awe of this masterpiece. It is pure perfection, chef's kiss and all that jazz!

Secondly, I NEVER read rockstar romance, and I wouldn't even think of picking up a romance that isn't dark... HOWEVER, this has already become a comfort read for me, and having only JUST finished it, like, within the last 15 minutes, that's quite a statement... And here is why.

Firstly, Cece, Cecelia, what a diamond woman. She's strong, vulnerable, soft and hard. She's complex, full of character AND has a backbone, all without being overly stubborn or irritating. She's so warm with REAL feelings and the way she navigates between her men is stunningly written.

Asher, Ashy baby, Ash, urgh. What a handsome little slush bucket! His moody onstage persona and his yippy puppy personality brought countless smiles to my face. He fucks up without meaning to, just an awkward teenage best friend with no idea how to road map his feelings. Is there such thing as a third chance? Well, luckily for Asher there sure is!

Kellan, Kel, the easy, breezy giant of a man, with his thick fingers and teeny weeny puzzle pieces. Every time I read him, I could literally hear his voice echoing around inside my head and boy, it was beautiful. He has certain triggers when it comes to women, completely justified! But Cece manages to break down those walls, asks the right questions and sees so much more than a pretty face.

Then there's our broken baby boy E. Elijah is just something else isn't he? His sharp tongue, devilish narrowed stare and poisonous glances. But he also has so many sides to him that he tries so hard not to show. He's messed up, confused and sad. He's a lost little boy with unresolved anger issues, that he usually manages to keep under raps. But what I thought was truly refreshing about 'One Last Time's' lead singer was his ability to keep his dick in his pants! Well done, Addy for going against the grain!

The three guys relationship with each other is so unique and special. The little trio are precious and it's clear how much they all love each other. Blood doesn't account for anything, because they're bonded as brothers regardless.

I don't want to post spoilers for the story or the plotline. But I'd suggest this to anyone who wants to take a step out of the shadows of dark romance and into the lighter, although still slightly clouded over sometimes, side. This was refreshing and heartfelt and it got me in all the feels. This will most likely be my sick day reading book for ever more 😂

I bow down to you, Miss Addison Carter, you talented little bean.

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

P.S. Cece has great taste in books 👌😉

2.5 stars.
I kinda liked the idea, but the execution and timeline just didn't fit. Cece is supposed to be this super special, awesome girl, but I found it difficult to understand why, when I read the book. The guys kept thinking, that she was worth risking everything for, and like Elijah's inner monologue, I couldn't find out why either. She seems nice and all, but all of their encounters are so superficial, that it just doesn't make sense. Also, the in the end came a bit out of nowhere, and I wasn't sure what the point of it was; Maybe to get rid of Fran? I'm not sure. It was a cute story, but the long timeline compared with Cece being changed, but not that much different really, made it feel a little dragged out.

Enchanted Lyrics by Addison Carter is one hot, steamy, romantic read. Cece is a smart, strong, independent FMC who meets Asher in college. They are friends and lose touch. Fast forward to Asher, Kellan, Elijah, Cam, and Andy are successful musicians and meet up with Cece at a concert. Super steamy. Super emotional. It's great seeing how everyone's life went on, what happened, and how they came together. Great read.

I read the Arc of Enchanted Lyrics! This is a Reverse harem where the main female character doe not have to choose in the end. CeCe and her men! Ahh what can I say! Poor CeCe get put through ringer throughout her life and her childhood BFF keeps screwing up a good thing. CeCe finally gives another chance to the 3 boys she once loved. It takes some time and more than a few speed bumps but they get there! This was a fun read and it had just enough spice. However is will hit you in the feels overall it's super good!

What a magnificent book - this has well exceeded all of my expectations! Rockstar romance is somewhat of a newer genre for me as I tend to lean towards the darker side of things, but this 'enchanting' tale was the perfect mix - intriguing, dark, all-consuming with very well written steamy scenes.

Cece, our strong but sometimes vulnerable FMC is so relatable. She's real - real emotions, real reactions and real problems. I loved seeing the way she navigated and interacted with the people in her life, especially her men.

Asher, Ashy baby... you can't help but love him (even when you want to shake some sense into him). His "moody" vibes on stage are quite the contradiction with the sweet, well-meaning man we get to know. Missed opportunities seem to haunt him - lucky for him, multiple second chances are a thing...

Kellan. He's without a doubt my favorite - this bear of a man is what dreams are made of. Protective, charming... he goes after what he wants. It's a beautiful thing when he really lets Cece in.

Elijah. Oh Elijah - the jaded lead singer who's quick temper tends to land him and the group in trouble is more than just your typical rockstar. He's so complex, and sometimes he seems to hide the best parts of himself. However... it was oh so sweet when he finally realized his past doesn't have to be his future... I'm also incredibly impressed by the restraint he shows with our girl.

Hats off to you Addison Carter, this is without a doubt, a 5-star book. The world building and character development was perfect - I loved the way each character had a different relationship with each other. Despite their differences, you could feel the love they had for one another. No spoilers, but the ending was just perfect. Everything came full circle, and I couldn't have wanted anything more!

I love finding a 'new to me' author who's writing sings to me! (no pun intended) I cannot wait to see what's next!

“ ”Good boy.” She purred. Excuse me? Good boy. Good fucking boy? “

I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY I DIDNT MISS OUT ON THIS!!

Asher meets Cece. Cece falls for Asher and vice versa. Asher takes another girl home…
But as fate would have it Cece and Asher meet again. Asher never calls back…

Years later Cece has moved on with a mature, strong and ever so loving boyfriend but after some unfortunate events she realizes that he’s not the one for her and that she hates the person she became because of him. So she decides to make a change, starting by going to see her favorite band play live.. a band who has Asher as one of its members… Will he remember her? Will the band like her?

This book is very well written with emotionally mature men (we love to see it) who aren’t afraid to show their soft side to their band members. I love the dynamics of the band, their friendship and openness, I loved how well Cece bonded with the members without messing with the dynamics of the band and how she ultimately helped them with their past trauma.

The spice 🥵 THE. SPICE. I get turned off easily by a book (or at least the smut scenes of it) if the smut is super cringey but Addison Carter did a beautiful job with the smut in this book!! ( it’s pierced!!! You know what I’m talking about 😏)

Anyways I freaking loved it (4⭐️; 4🌶) I already want to re read it and imma need a physical copy of this! And if I can get my hands on a signed copy, that would be even better!!

Men written by women is what I want ( Kellan 🤎)

Sometimes it’s hard to put how much you love a book into words. And I LOVE Enchanted Lyrics. The premise, the plot, the characters, the spicy goodness. Everything about this book is fabulous.
Cece is finding herself again after a rough time and is determined to get back to her old self and definitely not sleep with and/or fall in love with an old connection that has recently reappeared in her life.
Asher Memphis is a world famous rockstar with the biggest heart and a generous smile. Kellan Leroux is a big, beautiful man but there is so much depth to him that not many get to see. And finally, one of my top book boyfriends ever - Elijah Knox is a broken, tormented soul who doesn’t let too many people get close to him. Give this man a hug cause he sure as hell needs one. Or 100.
The journey that Cece goes on to find and reclaim herself, is one of healing and inner-strength. Her finding love where she least expects it and with who she least expects it from, just strengthens her resolve to only do what she wants and what is best for her in the future. It really is a beautiful story.
Addison Carter wrote a beautiful story and you will love it too.

This book was utterly heart warming. I love that Cece finds her way with her three men. The way they used music to connect was amazing. Having them share their stories, working through trauma and abuse coming out stronger on the other side. I loved Cece's story and the twists were crazy, but the only thing is that I felt like I was waiting for something the whole book. It could be that I've read darker books lately, but I just felt like I was waiting for something more to happen. I don't know exactly what, but I definitely felt like I needed something more. I loved the story though, it was an amazing story with wonderful characters. The story is wonderful and the writing is impeccable. Can't wait for more from this author.

Ah what a heartbreaking, tear-jerking and endearing read. This is the first book that ive read by this writer - Addison Carter and i loved it so much that i doubt it will be the last.

After a disastrous relationship ended Cece (FMC) decides to catch up an old college friend Ash and crush when his band plays in their hometown. I really liked Cece's dynamic with the guys - Ash, Kellan and Elijah (even if he took a while to warm up to her). What i liked most about this book is all of the backstories each character had. It made them more engaging to me. Cece's roommate and friend - Amy was a great source of laughs too. I just cant praise this book up enough. I really loved it

Such a great read!

Cece is such a bad ass! She knows what she wants and goes after it.

Ash is such stubborn but he also knows what he wants and when he finally got to have what he always wanted he did whatever it took to get it.

Kellan damn! He reminds me of my fiancé, but plays drums instead to guitar. So safe to say he favourite of this read. He just wants to be understood and to been seen his worth. Cece does that.

E frustrated me so much, refusing to see he deserves to be loved to. I’m glad in the end he finally sees thanks to Cece he deserves to be just as loved as the others.

Together they are perfect for each other, I’m glad to see how it all came together.

My favourite part of this read is the by the tree cause DAMN! 😏🥵🥵

Maybe I’m a sucker for musicians, and read reverse harems regularly but doesn’t make this book any less fantastic! Definitely a must read! 🤩

I have been looking for a really good rockstar romance and this book got the spot! Cece and her guys really roped me in right from the beginning and I devoured this book in one day. Asher, Kellan, and Elijah are all so different but fit together so well. I really loved the relationship that each one had with Cece and also their friendship with each other. These guys are to die for!! This is the first reverse harem rockstar romance that I’ve read and man it was just so darn good! Enchanted Lyrics is full of emotions, a little suspense and a whole lot of spice.

Holy hlHotness!

I'm in love. This author is a first for me and she doesn't disappoint. This clueless love of Cecilia and Asher follows through the years and we get a glimpse of how they feel for each other but then add Kellen and Elijah and now you have a hot steamy mix. Will they learn to love one another or will they let outside forces ruin what they could have? Come read for yourself but because mental health is key, please check the TW because there is a jealous ex lurking around somewhere

Addison is new to me author, and after reading this I'm hooked!! This book is full of angst and steam and I love getting to see CeCe rediscover herself and fight to become who she wants to be. The guys in this book have their own struggles and it's great to see the vulnerability in them as they also fight to move forward from the past. And when all of characters come together?.....holy hotness!! 🥵 If you like rockstars,, check out this book!

This was such a great story and I just love rockstar romance. Cece and Ash, always missing there chance to be together, finally pushing past their hesitation, they decided to get together with a push from sweet Kellen. I loved seeing Cece connect with Ash and Kellen, and the broody Elijah. And poor Elijah with the trust issues finally pushing past his issues to be with Cece also. I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to see what Addy writes next!

Ahhhh.....my heart is happy! I went into this blind. Didn't read the blurb, loved the cover but also loved the author's previous books.
I'm not normally a fan of RH but there's something about this group of people that made me adore this book.
Cece is amazing and everyone needs a friend like Amy. These girls are everything and what a friendship they have.
And then there's the boys 🥵🥵🥵. My little old heart hurt for all of them. They are all so different but they have the purist hearts.

This book gave me all the feels! There was drama, angst and steam. There was also 2nd and 3rd chances, forgiveness and so much love. The author did a wonderful job with the characters and it felt like you really knew them and understood them.
I thought this had a great storyline and moved at a good pace. I loved that we got multiple POVs and the steam was perfect. Overall, I loved it!

A definite must read

First off check the triggers, all support websites are at the end, if you are struggling please talk to someone, anyone. Don't struggle alone!

Now to start of boys are sooooo slow, literally don't notice anything until you plant your lips on them 🤣🤣 that being said personally I'd just jump them lol all together.
Ash, Kel & E literally make up the perfect man.
You've got Ash the shy but tender guy, Kel with a body to die for but oh so cheeky then E who's rough around the edges but sweet inside with total Daddy vibes.
Now add in Cecelia with her bad ass energy & oozing in confidence.
You have there an incredibly hot explosion with alot of dripping man juice.

Another amazingly addictive & jaw dropping story & hopefully the 1st of this series with more panty dripping adventures to come.

Gooooood! How I loved this book. I think I might just be a sucker for a rockstar romance, but this had all my favorite things rolled into one HOT book:

Rockstars
Reverse Harem
Pierced 🐔
Tattoos
Angst
Touch-her-and-☠️

Kellen, Asher, and Elijah are per-fec-tion. Book boyfriend goals for life.

I appreciated the detail that went into giving us gradual backstory and contributing to the tension at the right times.

There is so much to say, but I will leave it at this to avoid spoilers - this book will live rent free in my head for an absurdly long time. I am absolutely in love! Each relationship comes together organically and beautifully, ending with the culmination of all 4 as we watch them navigate their relationship together as a unit.

And the spice was INCREDIBLE. Oof. Holy smokes.

Let me start by saying to everyone, you need to read this book. Hands down. Right now! It was AMAZING, I couldn't put it down. It was sexy, sassy, emotional and everything you'd want to read.

From the very first page this book pulled me in from the beginning of Cece and Asher's story. I was cheering when they finally got their moment after years of built up feeling and missed subtle cues. Cece overcoming her pain from being with Zack, and letting the guys slowly into her heart. Kellen is such a sweetheart and Elijah is the broody guy but has a heart of gold once he opens himself to Cece. This book was truly amazing and I'd definitely recommending reading it!

Two very British stars for this one ⭐️⭐️

Why British stars?

“So long as it was, oh thank Christ, Yorkshire tea. We once stayed at a place that had Typhoo, I had called them out about it and they had tried to deny it, blagging that it was Tetley, but I know my tea, and Tetley isn’t anywhere near as bad as Typhoo.

I DONT CARE ABOUT TEA, STOP GOING ON ABOUT IT.

Ok so now that’s said, the start of the book was really promising. Showing how in 8 years the FMC (Cece) went from this outstanding, boisterous character to someone who was a shadow of her former self.

But then it just kind of dragged after that. What the fuck was Elyah’s deal? I was hoping to find out, but if I read another depressing chapter on him, I was seriously going to scream.

Speaking of depressing chapters, why is it in every damn chapter everyone was all down and dreary?

This book had so much potential, but I just couldn’t stand another torturous second reading it.

Absolutely amazing!!! I truly loved reading about Cece and her guys (Ash, Kellan, & Elijah)! Their story wasn’t an easy story and it shared many different traumas that people are affected by and how they can influence not only the person but those that love them also. Seeing how those traumas and situations played out was absolutely nerve wracking and heart warming all at once. Being able to see each and every one of them growing in ways personally and in their relationships was incredible. The spice 🔥 🌶 was absolutely on point and perfect, especially with some additional exploration. I think this may be one of the very, very few times that I didn’t have a favorite out of the guys because they were truly all special in their own ways and with their own situations. I’m absolutely in love with this story and can’t even find the praise for Addison Carter sharing her creation with us!

LOVED!!!!

I loved this book! Cece is amazing, nothing better than a woman saving herself and men supporting and encouraging her. The guys are all so different but each win your heart, you could never pick just one. They all have damage but together they are the most perfectly imperfect family.

I didn’t know I needed this book in my kindle library until I started reading it. Addy you did an AMAZING job, the FMC is a sassy woman & the MMCs have such a tight bond, with such different personalities.

Our girl CeCe, she’s a true gem. She has gone through so much, she’s strong, sassy, and everything a strong FMC should be. She’s also not overly stubborn, she has feelings for the 3 guys, and truly wants to make it work.

The men-
Asher, Ash… ugh what are we going to do with you punkin? He’s got golden retriever energy that contradicts his moody onstage act. He was best friends with CeCe growing up and after messing up… TWICE, can he get a third chance? He’s awkward with his feelings, and he messes up without meaning to.

Kellan, Kel, honey , baby, I just wanna wrap myself up in this man. CeCe manages to break down his walls and when it comes to the triggers he has with women. He would be amazing to have stand by your side in real life. He’s so much more than his handsome face.

Elijah, the multi sided… cube? Of a man. He’s got so many things going on all at once, he’s sad, messed up, confused and has unresolved anger issues. You would think that his broody mood & sharp tongue could be the true him? Think again, there’s so many layers to this confusing man just gotta peel them away slowly.

I usually alternate between dark & light books as to fluctuate with my mood. Or depending on how dark the previous book was. This is the perfect light read, but don’t assume that this book won’t smack you right in the feels. It’s clouded with issues, but it’s definitely got my heartfelt and all the feelings. I think I found my new comfort read with this stand-alone. If you’ve been wanting to give a rockstar romance a try, definitely give Enchanted Lyrics a shot.

Third times the charm right? Cece met asher in college and while both of them felt the attraction, neither of them acted on it. 5 years later they meet again, asher is part of a rock band and sees Cece at one of their local shows. As soon as he catches her eye he beckons her upfront and after the show she's brought backstage to hang with the band. Everyone seems to take to her, except elijah who can't seem to stand her. But unfortunately for them their second chance was interrupted and they never connected again for another 3 years. Over that time Cece had lost herself. She left an abusive relationship and really struggled with getting herself back. Through asher and kellans help and of course her best friend Amy, she realized how toxic her ex was and how she truly deserved to be treated. This is a why choose Rockstar romance. She does end up with 3 of the members, one she just has to work a little harder with. There is talk of a lot of trauma, alcoholism, abuse, cheating (not between Mcs), and mental health. I love getting all the characters points of view and getting to see inside their heads. This was a beautiful story about love, finding yourself and healing from past traumas. Highly recommend checking it out.
