Very good book.
I love this series and the first one by this author. It's romantic suspense which I love and I love the characters.
Kendall never had anyone in her life and letting Teo in wasn't easy for her but she did it.

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Rising Wind. This is book three in the series MacKenzie Cove. I enjoy Edie's books, I love the characters, and the situations they get themselves into. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. I know you're going to love it.
Dr. Kendall Rodriguez is in a research program. They think they have found a cure for diabetes only she finds it causes kidney failure. She is escorted out of the hospital and told she will lose her license to practice medicine, but she sneaks back in to try to save one of the patients, She finds him dead. She takes a blood sample to prove her findings. She has to hide the sample when her boss and one of the nurses catch her. She wakes up in the hospital with a handsome man trying to help her. Who can she trust?
Harbor Patrol Officer Teo MacKenzie receives a call that a body of a mermaid has been found by a mentally challenged old guy. The woman was set adrift in a small dinged-up skiff. Teo got the unconscious woman to shore for transport. The woman obviously needs help. Teo is determined to help her even if it costs him his promotion.
An exciting journey to prove Kendall's innocence and prove the drug is a killer. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction even in this time of political unrest and chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

DNF - missing part of Ch22
I don’t normally read religious romance but there are a few authors in this genre I like, Sara Blackard & Christy Barritt at the top of my list. The story premise is what had me deciding to give another author in this genre a try. There was a lot of faith mentioned but not overly preachy if not your thing. My problem was I wasn’t feeling any type of romantic or even overly friendly type of connection between the 2 mcs. When chapter 22 went blank during the male mcs brother’s pov I decided to give up. If I was looking for a mystery/thriller I may have continued but I was looking for romance added to that so couldn’t muster up the interest to finish.

What an interesting novel. The dynamics in this novel are so intriguing. Teo rescues Kendall, a mermaid, as the man who found her, calls her. Teo Mackenzie, literally takes her to the hospital, the scene where Kendall has been investigating the results of a new drug to help kidney patients has gone terribly wrong. Unfortunately with untrue data, this new drug is set to hit the market. With Kendall trying to stop the further murder of innocent people and Teo as her bodyguard, do they stand a fighting chance against a big corporation? Read this fascinating novel and dive into the plot, characters, and The Mackenzie Clan. This novel is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone novel.

Combines a good amount of family drama, updates on the couples from the prior novels, and corruption and murder.

Finding a mermaid
Very well-wrritten and exciting stories about the McKenzie family! I mark my calendar and look forward to the next in the series. Dr Rodriguez is a whistle blower being chased by some greedy, evil people. She's been on her own her whole life never knowing what family feels like until Teo finds her near death and decides to keep her safe . The fear and suspense kept me turning pages and Teo ' s loud and living family makes sure they can bring Dr Rodriguez back from danger. Great atmosphere!

We meet the MacKenzie Clan again and what an awesome interesting family they are! This time it isTeo who must struggle through a difficult situation together with Kendall. How do you keep someone safe when the corrupt company she works for is out to silence her? How do you know who you can trust in this murky waters? Well obviously you need the MacKenzies to help you navigate! I loved it! The story is the perfect mix of suspence, drama, romance and faith! From start to finish the story draws you in and captivates you! Excellent writing yet again Edie James! Cannot wait for the next release!

Dr. Kendal Rodriquez finds herself on the run from the very people that employed her. She found a discrepancy in trial data that would possibly keep the company from making millions of dollars and now they want her dead. Could she trust that Teo is not on the company’s payroll and let him protect her until she can get her proof in the right hands to keep people alive?

As with most books in the Christian Suspense Romance genre, the story is a bit formulaic. But like a good Hallmark romance movie, the books in this series are light, fun reads. Edie James does a good job of driving the plot forward through action and a variety of circumstances without sacrificing the underlying romance. I enjoyed Rising Wind (MacKenzie Cove #3) and recommend it for readers looking for clean, contemporary romance suspense with Christian themes.

The third book in the Mackenzie Cove series is a great mystery. This book focuses mainly on Teo and Kendall, although we do get interaction with the whole Mackenzie clan. I enjoyed the mystery and found it interesting. My favorite thing about Edie James’ books are the characters and the relationships within the family. I love it!

this is a very good story kendell has found evidence that the company she works for is not on the up and up and people are dying the next thing she knows she is waking up after she was found in the water and teo if called in . now he is on the run with her if you like suspense and romance you will want to read the book

First—I love heroines named Kendall because that’s my niece’s name. Not a common find. :)
I liked the unusual occupation for the hero, who as a member of Harbor Force can bring some very specific strengths to the story. Then there’s a serious multi-layer mystery that’s not going to be easy to solve by any means.

Teo & Kendall
Are just as opposite as a cat and dog. But Teo is all for justice no matter how others think and feel. So Teo helped Kendall whether she wanted it or not. Now this is a very fast paced book~~ You have to stay engaged in this novel or you will miss an important piece of this puzzle. Enjoy it!!!!!!!!

I love this series and this family’s story. This installment does not disappoint at all. It is rich with mystery, romance, and faith-a winning combination. I highly recommend the series!

This Mackenzie Cove series just gets better and better. The strong protective men and the equally strong and confident women. Such a good read, and series. Off to get the next one, anxious to read Dante's story.

Entertaining clean suspense, romance
I love the characters in this series. There is lots of suspense, but the book was a bit slow moving in the middle. The romance is nicely woven through the story, as well as sprinkles of faith. An enjoyable book!

Kendall learns the reality that her dream job is a nightmare. Someone is trying to kill her because she has discovered a deadly secret her company is keeping. Lots of excitement, twists, and turns in this mystery story. I read it in the box set I purchased.

Rising Wind focuses on Teo who must keep Kendall safe because the company she works for is corrupt and out to silence her. The storyline was great, and it has suspense, intrigue, danger, and an interesting twist. I enjoyed catching up with the MacKenzies.

I loved the evocative descriptions of the setting, the contrast between the fog-laden marine world of MacKenzie Cove and the scorching desert of the inland city of Pasada, home of Kendall Rodriguez, a doctor whose pharmaceutical research is taking an unexpected and dangerous turn. Harbor Patrol Officer Teo MacKenzie, battling his own struggles, steps in to protect her. But will they both become victims?
