I'm sad to see this series ending but also looking forward to the author's new upcoming series.
Onto Nate and Melanie's story. It's definitely a sweet read and the title really suits their story. They had a one-night stand but they didn't know each other then. Only to found out, Melanie's is his best friend/investor's little sister. He immediately put a wall between them after finding that out. But it's easier said than done when she is his neighbour. The chemistry between them is undeniable and that made it all the more difficult to keep the distance.
I highly recommend this one to find out how their story goes. And how they discover themselves and work on their own issues.

What a series finale! Each book has gotten better. I was waiting for Nate’s book, curious how he was going to end his playboy ways. Melanie is a newcomer in town, and after having a bad day, ends up at Matchbox, Nate’s bar. After a steamy no-name encounter, with the understanding of a one time thing, we later learn identities.
We get to watch Nate and Melanie work through personal baggage, and the private encounters continue. In the end, will they bring out the best in each other? Can they each get past hurts and disappointment caused by others?
I enjoyed getting caught up with my other favorite couples in town. Sorry to see this series end, but excited for what the author will bring us next.

4.5 Stars! This definitely completed the Matchbox series with a bang!
Melanie – the newfound younger sister of Leo. Even though she’s only 23, she’s more mature than any of her peers, and most of the men at Matchbox. After having a bad day, she goes to the bar to let off some steam and ends up having sex with the hot bartender! She’s then shocked a few weeks later she meets her brother at the bar, where it turns out her one-night fling is not only the owner, but his close friend! Not to be deterred, she knows what she’s wants, and it’s definitely not just one night. Can she get Nate to overlook her age / who her brother is, and finally put his bachelor ways behind him?
Nate – he might have once dreamed of continuing his pro hockey lifestyle, but after an incident on the ice that put an end to his career, he’s now putting his all into making the Matchbox the best bar around. Not that he doesn’t also like to have fun, the most recent time with a woman he can’t get off his mind. When he finds out she’s Leo’s little sister, he knows he needs to keep his distance. This becomes very difficult when she moves in the apartment next door! Can he put aside his past heartache to finally settle down again? Or will both their hearts get broken in the process?
This was my favourite of the series! I loved the undeniable chemistry between Melanie and Nate, it just burst through the pages! I know it’s mentioned that Nate has been a playboy in the past, it’s never really thrown in your face too much, as some books do. The odd interaction with ex’s, but only through conversation.
I also really enjoyed the angst from both of their pasts in relation to skating. Hers with figure-skating, and his with his ice hockey. It was great to read what happened that brought them both to where they are today. Plus not forgetting the super steamy pages! Nate does like to take charge!

This Series Finale Had Me Blinking Back Tears and Clutching at My Heart
Oh my goodness. I'm sitting here at nearly 11pm (when I've been awake since 4am and should be well into my dreams by now) with tears in my eyes and a tug at my heartstrings after reading E.H. Lyon’s “Tempted with You” in one sitting. I literally walked around the house with my Kindle, cooked dinner with it propped up on the counter, even did the dishes while reading. I could not put it down. In this fifth and final installment in the Matchbox series, we follow a budding relationship between bar owner and former hockey pro Nate and beautiful young physical therapist Melanie. What starts out as a friends-with-benefits situation runs the gamut as they work hard to get their HEA. Their chemistry is magnetic and super steamy, but what I love the most about this story is the emotional moments, the vulnerability, the flaws that make the characters genuine and relatable. After reading “Again with You,” which is Book 4 in the series and my first exposure to Lyon’s work, I was certain that Nate could never top his buddy, Jake, in my eyes. I don’t think I’ve ever been more wrong. Watching Nate come full circle across the pages is just so sweet, and weaving in all of the characters from the previous stories only makes this tale that much better. This really was a beautiful way to end the series. So very well done. I only wish I could give it double the stars!

I have adored this entire series but this book was one of the best books in the series. Maybe because we get to see Nate find his person but also we get to see what happens with everyone in the whole friend group.

What a way to finish this series off with the ultimate playboy of the group. Though I'm pretty sure that Leo could have given Nate the run for the money in that department. It just took a special someone for the both of them to come off of single/playboy market. Melanie is Nate's special someone. He just didn't know it at first like the typical male that he is. Though he knew for sure that he was attracted to her when he first met her. He didn't find out who she was until the day after their night together and low and behold she is Leo's half sister. Melanie maybe younger then Nate, but maturity wise she is so more then he is. Nate finally pulls his head out of his behind after they had a fight and broke up after they came out to Leo about them dating. Nate finally figured out what he wanted with the help of his brother Lucas and Jake. Melanie however need time and space, but they finally work it out and get their happy ending.

I don't believe that I'm ready to say goodbye to the Matchbox series to be honest, but I guess I won't have a choice since I wasn't asked LOL! Nate is a former hockey player who has his own bar nowadays with Leo being his partner & friend. Melanie is new to town, and Leo's newly discovered sister but Nate didn't know that when they hooked up. He didn't know that so the moment he found out, he knew it couldn't happen again, but guess who is his new neighbor?! Yep that's right, the woman he has such intense chemistry with, so you already know that it's only going to get more complicated from there on out since she doesn't agree with his decision. The push & pull was fun for we the readers as these two navigated quite a bit because at the end of the day, they were each other's lobsters but will Nate give in?! You know what to do to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A sweet story with enough spice. This is a story of an eternal bachelor and playboy who falls for the younger sister of his friend and companion. Because they are both careful and have their problems, it goes by trial and error. In the background there is a close-knit group of friends that makes it clear that it is a series. The friends have already had their story. I have not read the previous books, but this book is excellent to read as standalone.
The characters are well described both for the main characters and for the other characters.

This is a new author for me and I am beyond happy that I took a chance picking this book. I liked both Nate and Melanie from the beginning, which made their story so enjoyable. The only issue I had was with their little breakup later in the book. It was thrown in the story at a weird time. Melanie’s brother just found out about them dating and then boom, so much drama. It also seemed too dramatic for a couple that had only been “dating “ a few weeks. Other than that, I really liked the book.

Tempted With You is book #5 in the series Matchbox. I found the story to be so entertaining, and enjoyable. Nate and Melanie Retired hockey player Nate is now a successful business owner of Matchbox. Physical Therapist Melanie is sweet and new to town. The have undeniable chemistry towards one another from the get go. What started out with friends with benefits, turn into finding their forever? I liked the interaction between the secondary characters as well.
This is my first time reading E.H. Lyon, and I'm so happyto find a new author to read. I know I will be going back and reading the rest of this series to find out the other characters stories.

I'm so sad this series has come to an end but what a way to go out. I definitely think that Tempted By You is my favourite I loved Nate and Melanie's chemistry they were just made for each other.
Everywhere he turns Nate's friends are finding true love and starting to settle down but Nate has other ideas settling down is not for him.

I really enjoyed watching Nate and Melanie fall for each other. Things started out a little rough for them but they slowly worked towards being together. I also liked seeing the other couples from previous books throughout the story. I would definitely recommend this series.

I have LOVED every book in the Matchbox series. If you haven’t read this series, read EVERY SINGLE ONE!! They are all standalones but with interconnected characters so you will get so much more out of the books if you read them all. They are SO GOOD you will want to read them all anyway!!
Nate’s the final friend of the Matchbox group that hasn’t found love. He also doesn’t think he wants to look for love. One heated night he meets Melanie and she becomes the first hookup that he might want to see again. Until he realizes that she’s also his friend Leo’s newly found sister.
Melanie is AWESOME!! She definitely challenges Nate and keeps him on his toes. She’s beautiful, funny, sarcastic, and likes to challenge his rules of “only once” and “not his friend’s sister.” He’s going to have a hard time keeping those rules, especially when they discover they will also be neighbors.
You have to read their story! You will LOVE it! It’s funny, steamy, sweet, and romantic. I love the skating scene near the end. It’s super sweet. I also loved the steamy scenes. These two together are HOT! Check out this book and this series today, you will be so happy that you did!!

This is the 5th and final book in this amazing series and is Nate and Melanie’s story. Nate is a former hockey player who retired due to injury, and he is now the successful owner of the bar “Matchbox”. Melanie who is a physical therapist, is the newfound sister of Leo, and when she and Nate have a one-night stand he makes it clear that this is all it will ever be. However, only for Nate to find out that Melanie is the little sister of his best friend and business partner, as well as his new neighbour, with an overprotective brother. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written flawless story which is sweet, emotional, entertaining, and a steamy read with a tad angst thrown into the mix. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Little did she know he was her brother's best friend, business partner and her neighbour. They agreed to be just friendly neighbours but before long the sparks were flying again. Will she be the one to tame Nate, the playboy? And will he be able to look past the fact that she is 10 years younger than him and his friend's sister? I loved their story, unexpected encounter turning into so much more.

I love the chemistry and the banter and the humor and the challenges that fly high between Nate and Melanie. I love that we get to peak at the vulnerabilities. I like the plot between Melanie and her brother. I love it so much that I will be looking for the first books in this series. .
