After finding myself alone yet again, I try desperately to seek out my mates. But the tracker refuses to let me go, taunting me with ghosts he knows I can’t ignore. With a hefty price on my head I know he’ll never give up.
And now he’s not the only one after me.
After evading death at every corner, I’m finally reunited with my mates. We quickly learn that there are more wolves missing every day. And the longer we search for answers, the further we seem to get from the truth.
Until enemy wolves come for us.
Now Nyx and I are forced to escape under the cover of darkness and confront my past in a desperate attempt to save our pack.
Can I step up and be the Luna our pack needs, even if it means I’m on my knees?
Pack Evaded is book two in the Blood and Moonlight series. This book is intended for readers 18 and up and includes violence and situations some readers might find triggering. But if you like wolf shifters, characters who have lost it all and are still willing to fight, and steamy RH PNR, then you’ll love the Blood and Moonlight series.
Jarica is an American author. She prefers writing paranormal and fantasy books. When she isn't writing she is playing her xbox with her husband and fellow nerd. She has two crazy boys who make writing a challenge, but one she gladly accepts.
I enjoyed book one. While there did seem to be a huge jump from hatred and mistrust to boom, we are in love, I was enough invested I could go with it. In this book we have two twists that killed the series for me. I'm not up for mating by manipulation nor I am up for RHs randomly turning into polyamory. I really despise when authors use that as a plot twist. I want it a real RH where there are several men solely focused on their woman. Side romances, esp freaking true mates, absolutely kills it all for me. Men already rule the world do they have to rule my RHs too? I, sadly, won't be moving on to book 3.
I really enjoy this author and her writing but this book just ruined the series for me. Adding a man who abused the fmc as a mate. No matter how “soft” he tried to make the punishments. Then demanding he become a mate and mate her to help her, just NO. And callum WAS my favorite but adding him another mate? Why just to add m/m to the book? This ruined it for me.
And here we have book 2 of the series and I am seriously so invested and I could not put this down. We are back in with the pack as Vanya is reunited with her mates. But there is so much more to this than just a simple reunion. Book 2 comes with some good insight into the magic and the tracker that is plaguing Vanya. But of course with the super interesting plot-line, there's also a bit of adding to the harem. It wouldn't be Jarica James if she didn't throw something like that back in and you're left going wait, what? I'm interested to see what happens with everyone. Book 3 is gonna be amazing. I can feel it.
With this second book in the "Blood and Moonlight" trilogy, we dive deeper into the paranormal world this story is set in. We meet some interesting new characters, see other species and watch these characters gather them all together to fight against the pack that's threatening them all...
In this second book, a few new tropes are introduced (or become a more clear part of the story): the slow build harem is adding new mates, the fated mates trope becomes more powerfully present and a new MM relationship is added to the dynamic. Great second book, and I can't wait to dive into the final book!
Exciting Action Packed Series This second book did not hold back. It starts fast paced and kept me on a wild ride that I couldn’t get enough of. Vanya is just such a bada$% and she has some truly delicious chemistry with there men. I love how the storyline kept me on my toes and how Jarica was able to shock me a couple of times. Did not see some of the relationship twists coming… at all. Super excited to see where the next book takes us. This wasn’t a horrible cliff but definitely left me with some big questions that I desperately need answered!!
I loved this second entry in the series. The tension is really ratcheted up for Vanya and her men with the stakes getting higher and higher for all involved as the Grave pack gets closer and closer. The Bluff pack gains new allies and puts more moving pieces on the chess board, but there are sacrifices to be made too. These wolves are going to have to take the wins where they can get them if they want to come out on top with the bigger battle ahead.
I have been excitedly awaiting this second book in the Blood And Moonlight Series, and I will tell you now, it does not disappoint.
The characters and storyline roped me in with book one, and this one just pulled me in deeper to this amazing world. I love the intrigue, the mystery, and of course the characters and relationship developments.
I definitely recommend this book and series and am very much looking forward to the next one!
I was really enjoying the attacks and subterfuge going on in this book.
What I didn't like was the "more". Holt I could maybe understand since there's magic involved. But what I couldn't get over was Torryn. Not ONCE has Varya mentioned him nor has she thought about him. Now I'm supposed to believe there were some buried feelings. Baloney. I will read the next one but I'm disappointed in this book.
Okay, it’s as I expected, more mates. MC now has four confirmed mates and one which is most likely going to happen. I’m happy one of the mates has found another male mate. I didn’t expect that at first. But I think it’ll end up with all them being each others mates in all directions, rather than them all just being MCs mates and Holt being one of their mates (I know all that probably doesn’t makes sense 😂)
Wow what a turn of events. After book one's cliffhanger I couldn't wait to dive into book two. Vanya is trying to get back to her guys when she is found by a new pack. But they find out it's more than just the few missing. This book has alot of secrets. I can't wait for book three to see how it ends after that cliffhanger.
I was so excited to jump into the next book of this series! I started to fall for all of the characters (especially Vanya) from the very beginning and Pack Evaded only made me love them more. The steamy bits were absolutely delicious. The storyline is engrossing and has left me anxious for more. There is a battle coming and I can't wait to see what happens next!
This pack…. Has a lot of baggage. 😂 Everyone is picking up stray mates left and right. Lots of action in this one, a decent amount of steam, and quite a few twists. Just when it looks like everything is getting figured out and settling down for a second, BOOM! Something else gets thrown at them. Ends on a teeny cliffy, more of a teaser for the next book, really. 💜
Loving book two of this series! It starts off right where the last ended and just keeps on giving. I’m really enjoying the development of Vanya’s relationship with her existing men and her added harem member. The epilogue was really interesting, I quite enjoy getting to hear from different characters within the storyline. Overall enjoyable 4/5
I enjoyed this book. It moves so quickly that I was like whoa I'm already finished with book two. I love Vanya's take no crap attitude. I enjoy that there's plenty of plot to go with the spice. There's a couple twists I didn't see coming. Can't wait to find out what happens next as they implement their plans.
I love all the twists and turns in this book! It just keeps getting better as the series goes on. I can’t wait to see if/how Meira is saved. Whether they’re fated or chosen mates, this harem definitely loves one another. Looking forward to the next one!
Zayna and her men in this book face many challenges as they work on trying to figure out why her stalker wants her and who the real enemies are. We get closer to the truth and closer to their final battles.
Pack Evaded was really good and I wasn’t expecting some of the turns in the story. So well done and I love the complexity of the characters and their growing dynamics. Looking forward to the next book.
This was non-stop action and I really enjoyed it! I loved seeing how others in the paranormal community start to come together to fight against the big bad wolf. It was great to see the relationships deepen and change in a good way. That ending though, I’m so glad the third book was already out!!
Great Second Read Jarica has written another great series with Vanya’s world expanding beyond Dixon and the wolves. There’s betrayal, new friends, mate twists, impending war, and an alpha with a god complex to deal with, all while navigating her relationship with her mates. Solid 5 star read for this supernatural RH with a twist. Highly recommend
I loved every second of this book. I was so ready for this book to be released , now i can't wait for the next book. This series as got me completely hooked and I'm desperate for more. Highly recommend this five star read. Amazing.
