Julie I have always been an afterthought to my biological family, the one that was hidden away. I never in a million years thought they would do me harm. By chance I am filling in as a nurse in the hospital just outside the city where I meet a mated couple. I am invited to go with them to their home to help their local doctor in the clinics on their farms. After years of feeling lost, I finally feel at home. I’m unofficially adopted and come to understand the real meaning of family. Family does not always mean blood. Joel For years I have been the responsible one. Along with my twin sister Amy we have taken over running our family holdings now that our parents have retired. Amy is happily mated, I have taken on more responsibility giving her time with her new family. I find myself slowly drowning under the pressure of keeping on top of everything. I know I need help but have no idea where to find the time to get it. Until the day I walk into my kitchen and find the reason to make time!
Born and brought up in Mazabuka, Zambia. I love all genre's but I'm partial to Shifter, Paranormal and MC. I'm a Virtual Assistant by day and a wordsmith by night. I like coffee and cake, sleeping in and lazy weekends unless my husband drags me to a rock concert. My husband is my inspiration for all my male characters and why I'm a believer in love at first sight. We have been together for 29 years. I'm a big believer in family not always being blood but the people you bring into your life and that people come and go in your life as they are needed.
Enjoyed this book. Joel and Julie are the sweetest couple. Finding out about her family. Loved the intrigue and family dynamics. Great to see familiar characters. I can't wait to read Anton and Hannahs book.
This series is so good. There is so much going on here, so much feeling. The support of family, blood and chosen, just the way it should be. Love the shifters - all kinds! 🥰🥵😍
Another of these books I couldn’t put down. I really like these insta love stories. Julie truly deserves the best. Joel loves her as she deserves, I must admit I suspected this from the hints in the last book, but it left me with a warm feeling. Next please.
I think we all saw this mating coming from hints in the last book. What was very interesting was that we learned more of Julie's history and it's awful! I did love how she dealt with that and put people in their place. Better was the retribution she had at the end, couldn't happen to better people.
Well ...... I don't really know where to start with Julie and Joel. Umm the kitchen scene's are hot, (clears throat) I don't think I'll ever look at a kitchen the same way.
Julie is unloved by her biological family and is happy living with Annie and her boys, she is close to Amy and Lottie. Joel is Amy's brother and is overworked but too proud to say anything, his home is slowly falling apart around him. These two are perfect for each other. I got more surprise characters in this book in the form of Joel and Amy's parents. Characters can be so rude I tell you when they just appear and expect you to know what to do with them :)
This book has a bit more violence than the others but not too much.
Another beautiful story from Michelle Dups . I can't wait to read Amy's story. I so enjoy the feeling of being in the African beautiful country and smelling the fresh ground coffee. The story of mates finding each other and vengeance against the "family" that treated her so horribly.. I just wish the aunt got some too... This book was great!
