This is Sadie Ann and Silas Miller's story.
The same attendant then approached him. “The young woman in the front car said you’re welcome to ride in the empty seat next to her.”
Ach, had he heard right? “She offered to let me ride with her?”
He glanced her way, and she flashed a shy smile. Denki, Gott!
“You need to be quick,” the attendant urged.
Without another second, he nodded and rushed to the rollercoaster’s front car. The attendant waited until he clicked his safety belt on, then he lowered a metal bar in front of them.
“I can’t believe we’re actually doing this!” Excitement exploded from Josiah Beachy’s voice as he bounded into Silas’s bedroom and shook him by the shoulders.
Silas Miller grinned at his best friend as he attempted to fold his swim trunks and place them into his travel bag. “We are. Finally. The trip we’ve been talking about and planning for since…when?”
“Ach, didn’t we talk about it when we were still in school yet?”
“A week and a half at the beach!” Josiah grasped Silas’s arms and shook him.
“I can hardly believe it.”
I recommend reading.

This prequel really leaves you wanting to read the rest of the books. It is very moving and I read it quickly to see what happens. Silas and Josiah are excited to head to the beach for their Rumspringa. Josiah meets Kayla and the story begins. It is a teaching story of faith, forgiveness and love. There are Christian teachings in this book as in the others, as well. There is always something new to learn and mentors in the books to help the characters to learn and grow. I am sure you will enjoy this!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author without being required to give a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

When best friends, Silas Miller and Josiah Beachy go on their Rumspringa trip to Florida, they never expected that it would turn out as a tragedy. While in Florida, Josiah falls in Love with Kayla Johnson, and they have a fling for a night. But after Kayla and her parents leave, tragedy happens to Joshia and Kayla doesn't know about it.
After Silas returns home, his parents decided to move to Indiana in hopes of a new beginning. What a wonderful beginning it is for Silas... He learns the true meaning of the Bible and God's word.. you must read this book with a box of tissues next to you. This is such a God filled story, and I wish it wasn't the last of the series.. now to read The Trespasser again, to remember Kaylas story.. To God Be The Glory. I was gifted an early ARC for my honest review..

Oh my goodness! You will want to be alone when you read this book so you can shed a few tears and focus on the characters. Definitely a tear jerker, but filled with scriptures that are good for thought and reflection. The Newcomer is a prequel to the Amish Country Bride Series and you can follow it up with the next book which in the The Trespasser so you can continue to follow the storyline. This was definitely an “I didn’t see that coming” book.

Jennifer Spredemann is a gifted writer and you will be blessed in reading her books.

All words and opinions are my own. I was given a complimentary copy of this book front the author for my honest opinion.

My Review:

I have enjoyed reading this Amish series, and I’ve also appreciated the fact that the author has made sure that the gospel has been shared in every book. It’s been interesting and heart-touching to follow the lives of the main characters through the series. If you are reading the series for the first time, you’ll want to begin with this book.

In this story, both Silas and Josiah have choices to make, and the choices made in this book will affect their lives and the lives of their families all through the rest of the series. I came away with a new respect for Silas, and it’s easy to how see he becomes the strong, faithful character we read about as the series progresses. This is interesting, clean Christian fiction with a message of faith, hope, and love.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

First I would like to Thank Jennifer Spredemann for allowing me to be part of the Launch Team. I am so blessed to be selected to read an advance copy of this wonderful book, the next in the Amish Country Brides Series. In The Newcomer you get to learn the story behind Silas, Josiah, and Kayla. This book can be read as a stand alone but you will better understand the characters if you read them in order. Silas is a sweet caring young man who has to grow up during his Rumspringa. Josiah is his best friend. Jennifer Spredemann has a gift for telling a story that will help you understand The Word of the Bible, I learn something with every book. This book is full of learning experiences of Faith, Hope and Love.

This is the Prequel to the Amish Brides series and sets the stage for the other twelve books. This is Silas Miller and Sadie Ann's story and the character development is excellent. Silas and his friend Josiah set off for Florida from their home in Pennsylvania Amish country for their rumspringa. While in Florida tragedy strikes and Josiah dies and Silas returns alone. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, Silas' family informs him they are moving to Indiana where he meets Sadie Ann. While attracted to each other, Silas and Sadie Ann both have a past. Will their pasts keep them from forming a meaningful relationship that will perhaps become a HEA? Be sure and read this real page turner to find out; I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Love reading this book and finding out what happened at the beginning. Well rounded characters, story will keep you reading. I could not put down and read it within 2 hours. There is humor, sadness and new starts in the book. I really liked the character Preacher Dan and what he talked about to Silas.

I received an Arc copy of the Newcomer and I am under no obligation to give a positive review.

The finale of the Amish Country Brides series, The Newcomer circles back to the
beginning of the story, bringing new insight to the series. This has an excellent story line, with wonderful & believable characters & I feel like I'm losing dear friends as the series ends. You can't go wrong with any Jennifer Spredemann book. I definitely
would recommend this book as well as the entire series.
