Disappointing and Unoriginal

As someone who has read "YOU CAN COMPOUND" by Vivek Mashrani, I must admit that I found the book quite disappointing. While the initial premise of learning how to earn passive income and effectively compound money through investing in the stock market seemed promising, the book fails to deliver on its core promises.

One of the major drawbacks of this book is its inability to adequately justify the concept of compounding. The author appears to touch upon the subject briefly, but the explanations lack depth and clarity, leaving readers wanting more substantial insights. This lack of in-depth analysis can be frustrating, especially for those seeking a comprehensive understanding of compounding principles.

Furthermore, the book's content appears to be nothing more than an amalgamation of information readily available from other sources. Instead of presenting unique insights or groundbreaking ideas, the author merely regurgitates commonly found information from various investment books and online resources. As a result, readers feel like they haven't gained any valuable knowledge from this book.

Additionally, the book's lack of focus is a significant issue. It jumps from one topic to another without establishing a coherent flow. The promised framework for buy-and-sell, risk management, and allocation principles seems disjointed, making it challenging to follow a logical progression of ideas. This lack of cohesion in the book's structure contributes to the feeling of the book being all over the place.

As a reader, I had hoped for a well-organized and insightful guide to compounding, but "YOU CAN COMPOUND" fails to deliver on both fronts. Instead, it feels like a missed opportunity to provide readers with valuable, actionable information that could genuinely help them in their investment journey.

In conclusion, "YOU CAN COMPOUND" by Vivek Mashrani is a disappointing and unoriginal book that lacks the necessary depth and focus to justify its core concepts adequately. The lack of originality, coupled with a scattered approach to presenting information, leaves readers feeling unsatisfied and unenlightened. I would not recommend this book to those seeking genuine insights into compounding and successful investing.

This book centers around the idea of compounding, but it largely shifts focus to stock selection, which was a letdown for me. The title suggests a deep exploration of compounding as the main theme, but the book predominantly delves into how to pick stocks, which feels misleading. While the stock-picking advice could be useful for beginners, the lack of thorough discussion on compounding itself left the book falling short of its promise. I gave it 2 stars because, although some sections were informative, they didn’t deliver the insights I was hoping to gain about compounding.
