This book had a kick-ass plot...but the delivery left MUCH to be desired. The supposed badass gang leader was a kitten. The sweet, shy, fluffy heroine was a TERRIBLE nurse. The man was shot several times in the torso and was just coming out of a drugged stupor when the heroine arrived. After that the man was miraculously able to do all the things completely able-bodied men could do. My god, the woman only changed his bandages TWICE. I don't even see why she was hanging around after that first week since the dude was able to pick her up and carry her (she's a husky girl) to her bedroom. If he was nursing several bullet wounds, how the HELL was he able to do that? Also, he was up and about and kicking dude's @$$3$ like a week after getting shot. The characters were poorly written, the nursing/medical details were poorly researched, and the story itself lacked any tension, depth, or chemistry.
I DNFed.

I will never invalidate someone’s insecurities but when they become a characters personality trait? There’s a lot of depth left to be desired.
The heroine, bless her soul because I forgot her name already, was just that: insecure. A shit nurse, no backbone, no self preservation, nothing… just a sack of cells filled with insecurities and a black market bachelor of nursing degree.
I despise secondary characters who are “the voice of reason” because it’s unrealistic. If my sister calls me crying, saying that she just saw the man she loves kissing someone else, I am not going to protect him or tell my sister to find out the “whole story”. I’d shoot him with his own gun and ask questions later.
Is it wrong?
Yes but my instant reaction would be to defend my sister, not that dickhead. I don’t care if he’s innocent.
He was probably the softest mobster I’ve ever come across. I have nothing to say about him. Good or bad. He was boring as hell. The best thing he did in this book was cry.
Also, to have his old flame be the one that kisses him so the heroine can see it? That’s a cheap way to add depth. OW drama is the laziest form of drama an author can write, especially when writing someone who’s so insecure.
I’ve read reviews that say these kinds of plots are par of the course for this author so I’ll be staying away. Great writing though.

Abby is getting a new job as a nurse tending to a mob boss that everyone thinks is dead. As soon as Carlos sees Abby everything changes for him. Their attraction and connection is instant and they fall hard and fast. But enemies lurk in the shadows and threaten their HEA. A great age gap mafia story, sweet, romantic, steamy and safe(although a bit of OW drama) with a sweet HEA and with action too 😍😍😍😍
This is the book 295 of A Man Who Knows What He Wants series each book does read as a standalone with a sexy older guy and the young women who bring him to his knees no matter how powerful he is because with her he is powerless. Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, secrets reveled, a little violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love. By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. Oh boy what a story Flora has weaved with this one Abby needing a job saw the advertisement for a private nurse after interviewing, reading/agreeing to the contract only to discover her patient is none other than a mob boss who was supposed to be dead sexy but the mafia which has her on alert although it isn’t anything she can to do change it since she has signed the contract already and she is being paid an enormous amount of money so walking away isn’t an option. Carlos sexy as all get out mob boss has a nurse that he want sponge baths from every few minutes or so 😊(men gotta love them)all while ensuring she ends up taking a bath with him due to him getting her all wet and stuff 😊 Carlos is a man who gets who/what he wants usually when he wants them/it and his sights are set on his nurse the banter between these two is so funny a joy to watch them go back and forth with each other the way they do he finds it refreshing that she isn’t afraid of him in fact she treats him normal not like he is a part of a very large organized crime organization. The attraction is instant, insanely intense and the magnetic pull is so strong but she has reservations about his who he is and she fights with self-esteem issues but Carlos makes sure to let her know he has no issues with wanting or needing her all of her even the parts she don’t like because when he is done with showing, loving her she will not remember the parts she don’t like only the parts he love and the more time they spend with each other the stronger the magnetic pull because but is that going to be enough will she leave when her contract is up, will he allow her to leave or show her a million reasons to stay, will she learn to be okay with his job, and can they find happiness along their journey?.

This book had a bit of everything in it Abby has got no self-confidence. Throughout her life she has been body shamed bullied and belittled by people around here. Even her ex-boyfriend shamed her when she wouldn’t go further with him. so to say that Abby doesn’t see any beauty in a cell is sadly so true. When she goes for a job as a nurse she thinks she won’t stand a chance. But she’s quite surprised when the woman offers her position and asked her to read a contract and sign it now as well as a disclaimer form but as soon as Abby sees how much she’s gonna be paid she stopped reading and signs. You see her mother is ill and she needs the money for the medicine so happy will do anything for her family. But she gets the shock of her life when she finds out that she will be looking after Carlos Rodriguez who is one meant to be dead and two he is a criminal drug selling mafia man. She has signed the paperwork so she knows she must go. As soon as Carlos opens his eyes and sees the most stunning woman he has ever seen fast asleep snoring away in the chair beside his bed he is blown away. And he knows in that second he wants to get to know her better. The more time they spend together the easier the friendship begins. It’s a shame that his Assistant Mandy cannot be more friendly to her and Carlos Isn’t impressed. After a miscommunication about a kiss that happened between Abby and Carlos, Carlos find that she has disappeared for the day and when he goes to find her he finds that she is rather drunk. And a drunk Abby has no filter. And she tells him everything. Sadly the next morning Abby cant remember none of the conversation so Carlos has to tread easy to gain her trust because all he wants to do is make her his. Honestly this book had me laughing out loud so many times I have got to say Abby is just fantastic. My heart really went out to her as she had been hurt so much but she has got a massive heart and I wasn’t surprised that Carlos saw that in her this is just a fantastic read. I could not put it down got to be one of my favourites.

Abby has just graduated from nursing school and is desperate to get a job. Her mother has to take very expensive medications and she and her sister can't afford much more. Abby applies for a private nursing job for the CEO of Diamond Investments. The beautiful woman interviewing her is not impressed by her but gives her the job anyway. The contract tells her she will earn $15,000 for three months which makes her so excited, she forgets to read the rest of the contract. She quickly learns that the CEO is Carlos Rodriguez, a notorious gangster that everyone thought was dead in a shootout. When Abby sees Carlos, she falls in lust with him. He treats her like she is desirable and special but can she be with a gangster?
Carlos grew up on the streets and joined a gang. His determination has him rising through the ranks quickly. Everyone knows that he is a gangster but very few are aware of how charitable and giving he is. He cares for people more than money. When his cousin develops a new drug that has some deadly side effects, Carlos buys the rights to keep it from being sold. That might be why he and his men were ambushed and he was shot. When Carlos comes out of his coma, he sees his nurse Abby who looks like an angel to him. He would do whatever it takes to make her his even give up his criminal activities but first he must get his revenge for his dead men.

Abby has just signed an exclusive contract to work for a mafia boss for three months. Her family needs the money for her mother’s illness. Abby is rather shy, a new nurse, beautiful smile, curvy and full figured, pleasant personality. When she is introduced to Carlos she is tentative and a little shaky. When Carlos sees Abby he is mesmerized by her beauty. Carlos is overjoyed Abby is going to be with him for three months while he recovers from being shot. Carlos is a dangerous man. Will Abby start to feel comfortable around him? Will Carlos show her how he feels about her? Will Carlos change his mafia ways? The storyline is pretty predictable - younger woman, inexperienced with men, romance and love; older man, nefarious activities, never experienced love or romance. Will love win out? The story is an instant attraction. It’s filled with drama, deception, backstabbing, danger, sexual awakening, lusty passion and a whole lot of romance and love! It’s a page turner with some surprises along the way. A complete story.

*spoilers* Abby is desperate to earn money to support her sister taking care of her sick mother. She signs a special contract and is now the private nurse of Calos, a mobster boss who was said to be dead. At the beginning she freaks, but she stays for her family. When she sees him he looks like an archangel and he has humor and is so different from what she expected. But she could not be with a mobster boss and even so, she is a curvy virgin, he has stunning women by his side in the past. His assistant even hired Abby, because she thinks that Abby is not appealing for Carlos. The opposite is the truth. He sees her and never felt anything like that for a woman. But will their hearts find their way and what will the future entail for them? I really enjoyed this story. Carlos and Abby are such opposites at the first glance, but their hearts are so entwined, also they kind of fight it and so many people try to stand in their way. This story has romance, action and so many steamy scenes, the air is sizzling.

Her Job For Life - Abby had always lacked confidence because of the negative comments she received about her weight growing up, so she felt she was living in an alternative universe when Carlos showed his interest in her. Carlos felt like an electric current had zipped through him the moment he laid eyes Abby, but he was a bit weary of her, as he was injured. Spending time together brought them closer, but not everyone was happy about that union. They will have to navigate a few chaotic incidents to get back on their path to a forever happiness.
The love between a nurse and mafia don, may not work out in the real world, but their love in this world of fantasy, sure makes me green with envy. Have you started reading a book and then lost all sense of time? I can tell you that this is one of those stories. You will definitely want to read it again once you finish.

I loved this book, it might be one of my favorites by Flora Ferrari. Abby is a nurse hired by a secret client to watch over their care. The secret client is Carlos, who is a notorious gang leader, whom everyone thinks Edied in a shoot out. When Carlos wakes up he sees Abby and he is instantly attracted to her. She doesn't belive she is beautiful because she has low self-esteem because of people making negative comments to her, her whole life. They fall in love while she is nursing him back to health and he is trying to find out who was behind his attack. Everything gets wrapped up wonderfully. 😊 I wish that Flora had written an update on Sarah in the epilogue as I found her to be a wonderful side character. Of course I loved the sisterly bond between Abby and Beth!

He will prove she is meant for him and he is meant for her
Taking Care Of The Mobster is an amusing and OTT older man/younger woman story between Abby, a nurse, and Carlos, a mob boss. When he needs a private nurse she is the one who is hired. There are more than a few second thoughts when Abby discovers exactly who her patient will be and what he does. But with a contract signed and a lot of money to be earned she starts her new position and then the smexy fun starts. Carlos takes one look at his new nurse and all he wants is to have her give him some sponge baths while he gets her all wet at the same time. He is a man who knows exactly what he wants and he has to go about convincing Abby that it is her, for now and forever.
I was so in love with this book! Abby is a nurse on a special assignment. Carlos is supposed to be dead. Oh, and he is a mobster! Abby definitely did not know what she was getting into when she signed her contract. Abby has some hang ups about her body because she is a bigger girl. Carlos has a way of showing her that no matter what she may think of herself, she is beautiful. Their journey together is interesting to say the least! There is drama, there is suspense, there is mystery and naturally there is romance! Flora Ferrari can tell a story so we’ll that you don’t even realize that you’ve been drawn in. She is such a creative writer!.

this is a great mobster story from Flora Ferrari. This is about Carlos who gets badly injured after a major attack and then hides and the underworld thinks he is dead. Abby is a nurse who comes for a job only to realize it is Carlos too late. The instant chemistry and attraction is similar between them, but every now and then Abby's doubts arise from bad experience with her ex and that she's been body shamed for being a curvy woman. Taking Care of the Mobster is a fantastic story and the characters and characters are wonderfully described. Flora Ferrari has done well again and had trouble putting the book down, so I finished it in one sitting.

In move totally out of character, Abby makes a snap decision to sign the contract for three months to take care she has no idea who. The money is needed to care for her mother's illness, but is will be caring for the mobster everyone thinks is dead. That alone would be bad enough, but she has to live with him during that time. What she does not expect is the man is gorgeous and such a gentleman. She is quickly falling for this man, who no way would be interested in a girl like her.
Carlos wakes and sees an angel sitting next to his bedside. He does not know when but she will be his.
This is a steamy read, with drama and underlying threat to both characters.

Abby is a nurse that just graduated, and is looking for work. Her first job she applied for, she jumped the gun and signed a non-disclosure agreement without reading the full contract. Even though she felt like she made a mistake, she shows up for the job. To her surprise and horror, she is taking care of Carlos, The mob DON that is supposed to be dead.
Once Carlos meets his new nurse Abby, his entire world turns upside down. His past was terrible, but He wants to be good, for Abby.
Carlos does whatever he can to. Are himself a legitimate businessman, but someone from the inside is trying to kill him.
This book was excellent! It moved fast, and kept me on my seat until the end. Loved it!.

In this book we meet Abby Smith & Carlos Rodriguez. When this book opens we find that Abby is being hired for a private nurse position. The thing is the man she is supposed to work for is a mobster. Abby knows she needs this job but isn't sure about working for this man. Carlos has felt like he is living in hell for more years than he wants to think about. When he opens his eyes to Abby though he thinks he has just found his first slice of heaven. If only he could get her to see him the same way. Can these two find a HEA or is Carlos's hell about to destroy them both?
Another amazing hit by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Abby was happy to get the job as a private nurse that she didn’t question who her patient was until after she signed a contract. She is nervous about working for a powerful man in the mob but as she gets to know him she knows that there is much more to him than his reputation.
Carlos was enchanted by Abby from the moment he saw her and wants her to be much more than his nurse but that means dealing with the escalating threats he is facing so that he can keep her safe.
Carlos was determined in his quest to show Abby that was the only woman for him, and the suspense part only made the story that much better.
Here we have Carlos who is in need of a nurse. Abby gets hired by Carlos's admin who only hired her because she was fat and ugly. Carlos is reported dead by he is injured really bad and Abby is not sure if he is going to kill her because he's a gang leader. Carlos is smitten the minute he wakes up and sees Abby. I love how they took their time to get to know each other and Abby finds that Carlos has a heart of gold. (For some people). There is danger, betrayal, lies, fear, passion and love. Enjoyed the story very much.

I feel like the author doesn’t understand anything about the medical world because home girl was an awful nurse. She only changed bandages twice, gets drunk on the job, and also never didn’t anything else really that a friend could of done for him. Don’t get me started on Carlos injuries, but can magically pick up home girl when he is in recovery for almost dying from a gunshot. I used to read these stories back in the day, but now they seem to be copy paste add a water down plot. I don’t know if it has always been like this, or if the author style has changed, but I’m not vibing with it. I gave 2 stars to be nice really

Abby gets hired to take care of a mysterious man with an iron clad contract, the man turns out to be Mafia head Carlos Rodriguez who is supposed to be dead. Her duties are to leave Carlos alone expect when it comes to taking car of his injury, but Abby finds she can't seem to stay away from Carlos. Carlos is equally fascinated with Abby, she is his good thing while he heals and he doesn't want to let her go but someone else is determined to keep them apart.
This was fun but not quite what I expected. Carlos is really sweet with Abby and she with him. I thought they were a cute couple, but needed a bit more substance.
Abby is fresh out of school and looking for a job. She attends an interview to get a job. All she sees are zeros for this job so she signs the contract and is then told who she is working for. Her family needs the money because her mom is sick and getting worse by the day. Carlos is supposed to be dead. With the injuries he has he should be. When he meets Abby he thinks everything about her is incredible and she is attractive. Carlos and Abby get close, but will it last?.

Taking Care Of The Mobster was another smoking hot read by Flora Ferrari. To help pay her mom's medical bills, Abby signs a contract to work for a Carlos, the infamous mafia boss believed to be dead. Fear quickly turns to intense attraction upon seeing Carlos in person. Carlos had plans to leave his criminal life behind and meeting Abby makes him even more determined to go legit. Carlos is going to claim Abby as his and no one will come between them. But will he be able to keep her safe when he learns his enemies are closer then he realized? 5 stars!
Another great read by Flora Ferrari! She once again brings strong characters and weaves an interesting and steamy mafia romance. It's got action, danger, secrets and anxiety as well as some sweet and tender moments to go along with the sizzling hot chemistry. Her scenes are painted vividly and the story is told in the dual POV. This may be my favorite book from Flora so far. I was glued to the pages from start to finish. I loved this book and would recommend reading.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is about Abby and Carlos. He is a mob boss in need of a nurse after being shot. Abby is brought in to take care of him, but she's stepping into an unknown world of violence and passion. I thought that it was a good story although the characters were harder to for me to connect to. It's fast paced, instant love and has the sexual tension that Flora is known for.

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments that really didn't bring the same warm smile to my face as the other moments had. However, even though there were times when it would lull and I would begin to ponder about choosing another novel, something would grab my attention again- just enough to reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.

This is book 295 in Ferrari's A Man Who Knows What He Wants series but can be read as a stand alone A quick, easy read with a good storyline and plot. This is an insta lust / love romance read. Short, sweet and steamy read. Our main characters are Abby - new nurse with no self esteem and Carols - mobster thought dead. Carlos is brought to his knees when he first sees Abby and while they attempt to resist their mutual attraction it's futile in the end and we all get our HEA!

This is Book 295 A Man Who Knows What He Wants. This is a love story for infamous mobster Carlos Rodriguez and Abby. This book will have you shaking your head at Carlos for not seeing the deceit right in front of him. It takes Abby to find his reason to walk away from the lifestyle that he no longer wants. I loved how brave Abby is for take care of the Mobster and finding a love so true.

Good, but ultimately short on the suspense It is a good story mixing criminal world and romance, but although I liked the characters and the story between Carlos and Abby, I was more disappointed with the mystery part that seemed to me to be shortened, and it is too bad because it held an important part in the story, especially in the meeting between the two heroes. This is nonetheless a very good book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Carlos and Abby. She's a young woman working as a nurse. He's a mob boss who is trying to turn his life around, when he gets shot. Abby is hired by his assistant, Mandy, to attend to his wounds. But what they both get is invaluable. But when his life is threatened again, Abby jumps into save him. Great HEA in the works.
