Plans are meant to be trashed. I pride myself on being in command of my life. Maybe it’s become slightly control freak-level, but I prefer predictability. So, when an unfortunate photo surfaces of me with Tad Fisher, the music industry’s favorite bad boy, it screws up my carefully calculated plans.
I am not Tad’s girlfriend and the only thing crazier would be pretending that I am.
Sometimes, drastic measures have to be taken to restore order.
What does Tad get out of all of it? I’m the key to repairing his image. Dating a good girl might help sales of his sappy love songs, but not if he’s dead first for tossing me in the pool. I was still in my sundress, for crying out loud!
Okay, in all fairness, I probably deserved it.
I have millions of reasons why being with Tad shouldn’t work, but his killer smile and big heart cancel all of them. That mind-blowingly incredible kiss might have something to do with it, too. Sure, we could slip into the friendzone when this is all over, but what if I toss out my plans and risk the unknown by allowing myself to love Tad?
Enjoy the Entire Fools for Love Romantic Comedy Series by Rachael Eliker! Full of toe-curling passion, hilariously awkward mishaps, and satisfying happily-ever-afters, each book can be read as a standalone.
Rachael Eliker was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, studying Animal Science with an option in Biology. She currently lives on an acreage in Indiana, with her husband and children where she enjoys challenging home improvement projects, keeping up with a handful of livestock, running on lonely stretches of country road, and writing.
In Falling For the Star, Tad and Diana are faking a relationship. Despite being of opposite temperaments, they work well together as a couple. This book has some great dialogue, interesting characters and some swoon worthy moments. This entire series has been such a treat read (and own). The characters are interesting and three dimensional. I love the world of Harper Music. I am also in love with the green dress on the cover!
This book was fun to read. Diana and Tad are partners in a restaurant they each inherited. Tad is also a rather famous musician. When they are photographed during a private work conversation, tabloids start the rumors. They decided to have a fake relationship in order to help Tad recover from his bad boy reputation. What happens when things begin to feel real?
Despite some type-o issues, I really enjoyed this read. Maybe because I have been reading heavier books, this story was a perfect light romance or mindless read. I liked the characters and the story kept my interest
Just like the other books in this series all the characters roll off to do what they’re supposed to. I had to back and read the last one to mal the book straight in my mind. It was a great read and I enjoyed it.
I really loved this book. Tad is so freaking sweet. I loved him as a character and his flaws. He is really sensitive and is so caring. Diana is also really awesome. I loved how she warmed up to Tad and realized that he had a lot of depth to him. She was a little hard to warm up to but she’s wonderful.
The fake relationship is so good. I loved the sweetness and attentiveness Tad has to Diana. You can tell he is clearly smitten by her and it’s so sweet. I loved how Diana grew to love Tad and care for him. The pacing is super sweet.
I also loved seeing the side characters and the small amount of drama. It was great fun and I loved how it didn’t stray away from the main story.
In summary , I really loved this book. It’s a sweet celebrity romance. Highly recommend it.
Falling for the Star by Rachael Eliker is number six in Eliker's Pop Star Romantic Comedy series and maybe the best! It was not nearly as complicated as some of the earlier stories and that made it so much better. Diana owns half of a restaurant she inherited and Tad, who is also a pop music star, owns the other half. It doesn't always go well; Tad can be really exasperating. He just isn't very responsible; at least he can't live up to Diana's standards. She is preparing to go to her parents' home (estate) for a Fourth of July celebration and is preparing for her mother's latest entry into the Husband for Diana sweepstakes. Diana is not thrilled. When her childhood friend, Logan, suggest that she take Tad, pretending to be her boyfriend. In fact, why don't she and Tad have a fake relationship for a while to boost Tad in the public's opinion. Seems his playboy ways may have gotten out of hand a little. While pretending, Diana sees a different side of Tad and begins to wish this were more than a fake relationship.
This is a delightful romance written pretty much from Diana's point of view. Tad is a sweetheart and it takes a while for Diana to really see that. She isn't sure about his lifestyle, for one thing. It takes being marooned in a cabin during a snowstorm for things to really come to a head. These are good characters. Eliker makes he reader care about them and become invested in their lives. Since it is a series there are cameos of people we have met before, which makes it fun. Diana's mother is a character and so is her aunt, but very different from one another, and very entertaining. This is a totally fun book to read and relish. I recommend it.
I received a free ARC of Falling for the Star from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions and interpretations contained herein are solely my own.
This series has been so delightfully consistent - each book has been full of swoony fun, with characters you can't help but love. Book 6 is definitely no exception!
Diana & Tad are opposite extremes. And we've seen them clash over & over again, as Tad tries to get Diana to lighten up a little, & Diana tries to get Tad to be a little more serious
Tad's got a celebrity rep as a bad boy, but in reality, he's more like a big kid who is serious about having fun.
Diana grew up with constant scrutiny & criticism, & it's made her very uptight & insecure.
Circumstances force the two of them together, & it's as volatile as you might expect. I enjoyed how Tad kept surprising Diana with how well he knows her. And Diana helps Tad to be more steady and focused. Their complementarity works so long as they don't mess it up - Diana with her bouts of insecurity & Tad with his bouts of carelessness.
One of my favorite lines in the book is when Diana is first opening up to Tad: I decided I was going to have to be the one to be brave. “I’m scared.”
The ending is one of those happily-ever-afters that leaves you with a smile on your face long after you finish
Each time I've read a book in this series I think this would make a fun rom-com. I think like Leap Year or Austenland. I love this world of Harper Music. It's nice to see former main characters make an apperance here and there. I don't think we saw as many former main characters in this title but that's okay. The author doesn't just throw in people for the sake of doing so. Each side character helped progress the story and added to making the story feel complete. The story, plot and pacing were well thought out and done well. I thought the dialogue between the h & H was good and had some wit to it. There were "awww" romantic moments while keeping eveything clean and out of the bedroom. The h deals with perfectionism and all that that entails. Having that problem myself I found her relatable and felt that Rachael Eliker wrote the h genuine. The H was a bit of her opposite but the couple complimented each other. Their personalities made for some fun interactions. I had a lot of fun reading this story. This author is a definite read and excellent for a relaxing but solid read.
Perfect…. just what we need in this day of ‘stay at home’ time of quarantine . This lighthearted read is sure to take the blues away. You want fun? You’ve got it. You want volatile? Yep, it’s here. You want opposites attract…. and I do mean opposites. Well now, not only do they attract, but they just may collide. I could go on and on. This book is a lot more than dessert, its the main meal with some yummy chocolate pie on the side. It’s got it all. Sit back ,enjoy and don’t be surprised if there’s a giggle or two.
It’s time for some fun. Reading Falling for the Star will let you take that well needed break from gloom and doom. I’m pretty sure you’ll be glad you did. After all, Tad and Diana just may surprise you.
I received an advance copy of Falling for the Star and am leaving my review. This book was just what the doctor ordered in this time of stress and confusion. It gave a well needed break.
A Ruse To Love: By Korkoi - Diana was brought up in a wealthy environment, where it was drummed into her from childhood, that she had to live up to certain expectations. Tad on the other hand earned his wealth and was always ready to have fun. In this story, Tad was able to show Diana that love is unconditional and real, by being patient, vulnerable and taking chances. You will laugh and cry as you read the story, whilst you root for Tad and Diana to finally see they are meant to be together. I loved this book and read it cover to cover in a few hours, because I just couldn't put it down. The characters came alive with each page turn and the storyline was very realistic and believable.
I received a copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you follow this series you know that Diana and Tad have been oil and water for a while. What became apparent in the previous book is that Tad was more than he seemed and that's where this story begins. His strength of character in the face of doubters was inspiring. Diana, on the other hand, doubts her worth over and over. Her drive for perfection created a chasm between her and Tad but he continually was open and available. The reappearance of previous characters was fun (Ruby remains my favorite). This is a sweet clean romance with lots of heart. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
I loved this clean, fun, sweet romance of Tad and Diana, business partners in a restaurant. He has also a pop star, who has been secretly in love with Diana for a while and Diana seems to tolerant him as she has a secret admirer giving her thoughtful gifts. Then one day a picture appears in a tabloid that makes it look like that are a couple and Tad runs with it. Diana is furious, Tad's PR talks her into a fake relationship, but is this the opportunity Tad has been waiting for? Can he compete with her secret admirer? This is part of a series and the continuity is great, but the book can stand alone, and the characters are wonderful developed. I highly recommend it.
I loved it! This story sucked me in and before I knew it, it was 2 am. Oops.
I have been waiting for Tad and Diana's story since they were introduced however many books ago. So worth it. Diana was an interesting character and Tad had way more depth than I expected. I also loved catching up with some of the characters from previous books. So fun.
I did receive a complimentary ARC; all opinions are my own and freely given.

I have been looking forward to Tad and Diana’s story and I was not disappointed. Like Rachael’s other books there is chemistry, great characters, and a touch of humor. We are also revisited by some old friends. Just the right combination for a wonderful sweet romance. I recommend this book.
I received a copy courtesy of the author and this is my honest opinion.
I loved this book. I had been waiting for Tad and Diana’s story. You get to see a different side to both main characters and how they come to terms with that and each other. The writing invokes your emotions and you are feeling what the characters are feeling. Some swoon worthy kisses are also a plus! Now I’m hoping to see a story for Mandy. That would be a great way to end the series.
This is a great story of two people who get brought together by a picture. But these two opposites! He likes to play and makes jokes and pranks where she is extremely serious. Can these two people find a way to make the other meet in the middle and see if they can have a future? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Opposites attract in this fun frolicking tale of enemies to lovers. Tad and Diana rub each other the wrong way, but when forced together they might just discover that each carries the right characteristics to balance each other and offer just the right spark. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Good book, I enjoyed it. I'm only giving it a 4 stars and not 5 because I didn't really feel that there was any passion between the main characters. Now, I understand that maybe this book was written for teenagers but even then it felt really platonic, even teenagers have more action than those 2 ;). Anyway, book was fun and well written so I do recommend reading it.
I enjoyed this story. Falling for the stars can be read as a stand alone and still make sense; reading the other give books just adds a little more to this story in the form of backgrounds. I loved how the way this story is set up and the way the characters go along well with each other. This was an awesome clean that was a page turner for me.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were interesting and lovable and the storyline was great. Would recommend. This was a voluntary review
This story was really great and entertaining. I loved the chemistry between these two. It took a while for the kisses, but boy were they sweet! This is a really sweet, clean romance.
