“You said that wrong. What you meant was that you’re here to fall in love with me.” - Alice
Saint is in the family business…the business of hunting killers and closing unsolved cases. He knows his reputation—most people think he is a monster. Dangerous, cold, deadly…and with no conscience. But it takes a guy like him to get the job done. And his latest job? Well, that job has him tracking down a suspected Black Widow…the beautiful and ever-so-seductive Alice Shephard. A woman who is linked to the disappearance of three men.
Beauty can be the coldest lie of all.
Whispers and scandal follow her every step, but Alice doesn’t seem to care. Is she responsible for the disappearances—and possible deaths—of three ex-lovers? Saint will find out. He’s stepping into her web, and if she’s guilty, he’ll personally lock her away, just as he has done on case after case before. Emotions never get in his way.
Wanting her isn’t a surprise. Needing her is.
Alice seems immune to his charm. Fair enough, mostly because Saint isn’t known for charm. But he is hell on wheels when it comes to seduction, and the attraction between him and Alice is electric. When he touches her, need rocks through him, a desire so fierce that it threatens to consume them both. But Saint can want her and still lock her away. No problem. Or…
Problem. What if she’s not guilty?
When Alice saves his life, Saint realizes there is more to her than meets the eye. Maybe she’s using him, maybe everything is a game to her, or maybe…maybe Alice is the real victim in the story and not the villain. Unlikely, but…what if? What if all along someone else was attacking from the dark? What if someone else is determined to claim Alice, to eliminate all other men from her life?
And what if Saint might just wind up losing the one person he needs above all others?
They call him Saint, but everyone knows he’s a monster…and he’s ready to let his dark side out to hunt.
Author’s Note: As part of the Ice Breakers, Saint is intent on solving cold cases. But his latest case heats up—or rather, goes molten—the instant he meets Alice. She’s supposed to be a villain. Fair enough, he’s not exactly hero material. Can two villains fall in love? Time to find out. These two don’t play nicely, they love hard and dirty, and they will take on the world for each other.

This was pure magic laced with dark intrigue and twists and turns that had my head spinning.
Alice was definitely not the type of heroine I’m used to reading, and I was both worried and excited by that. She kept me guessing from the very beginning and I was anxious to learn all her deep, dark, secrets. I was soon caught up in her spell along with Saint. She was fierce, determined, and certainly not the type of heroine that is waiting to be rescued.
While Alice was not the typical heroine, Saint was the perfect counterpoint to her. He was everything that I love, protective and possessive and he was determined to find the truth about her and make her pay the price. I loved the transition that took place with both of these characters.
The chemistry between Saint and Alice was white-hot and their story thrilled me, keeping me turning pages, anxious and guessing, until the very end which satisfied my romance loving heart. This is romantic suspense at its best and the reason I read it!
4.5 🌟. I’m addicted to her books and can never stop with reading just one book.
Both Saint and Alice very crazy individually and for each other. Loved the suspense and the way it unfolded. It was unpredictable. I just needed epilogue and I did find at times Alice irritating. That’s why minus .5🌟
If you follow me you know that I'm a huge fan of Cynthia Eden. She has written some of my favorite books, and I love her heroes. 9 out of 10 times I also enjoy her heroines too, sadly this isn't one of them.
I just found poor Alice offputting. I just couldn't like her for most of the book. She was just kinda sneaky. Rat like. It took me almost midway through the book before I started to understand her. For me, once that happened she was more likable.
I'm gonna tell you right now that not liking Alice didn't stop by from enjoying the book. In fact, I really liked it and totally loved Saint. He is such a great guy. Yes, he's a little dark but that's how most of her alpha males are. So very sexy.
You will love how protective he is and how he just wants the truth. He'll do all he can to make sure Alice is safe. You learn that she'll do all she can to keep those she cares about safe too. So much happens within the story that you will like and I have to admit that some of the comebacks that go back and forth between Alice and Saint cracked me up. I think because Eden is such a good writer I was able to enjoy the story will not being a total fan of Alice.
The comebacks between Alice and Saint aren't the only funny parts of the book. The way she gives Memphis crap shows the real her. Such a complicated character. I'd love to say so much more but you need to read it for yourself.
I liked this book ... but ... I didn't love it? Like this is one of the [few] books where I read it and was like "this would make a great movie." ... >.> even potentially a better movie than a book?
There's a LOT going on - and I definitely was like "but is dude REALLY dead?" ... and that dude really was dead though. :P Cynthia Eden has done a great job with the misdirects and such in this series and I'm just along for the ride.
I kinda wish there was more about Alice and her show(s) with her dad but like - there's already SO MUCH to cover. I think ... I dunno if CE keeps to like a general page count for this series but this book could've benefitted with more details IMO I do like how protective Alice and Saint are of each other ... >.> I also do think they're both kinda really ... I don't know that I'd say maudlin, but definitely melodramatic. It's a "thing" for Alice - and Memphis is even like "you're really dramatic aren't you." And I liked that it wasn't all hunky dory for them from go.
Maybe it's just me but like - they were both "I'M SO BAD" but like ... not ... really? Like you just aren't perfect? And who is? And Alice has had SERIOUSLY bad luck but also it's [spoiler] and for Saint ... yeeeaaaahhhh I dunno if that's "I'm so bad" so much as you know - literal and actual trauma. Or like I've said <.< maybe I'm more okay with "street justice" than the average bear, ironically? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But Alice and Saint definitely perfectly paired, and I like that the attraction and such is there before the emotional connection. Which actually has been the theme in all the Ice Breaker books so far - but this is the first time one of the love interests has also been a suspect. (And what a suspect.)
I kinda felt like Memphis jumped to too many conclusions re: Alice but also like - a) there's a lot of bad about her on the surface and b) with his brother being the person in question of course it'd be hard to be objective
I'm definitely curious as to - beyond Tony, who gets the next book. I don't think we've met other Ice Breakers?
Ice Cold Saint (Ice Breaker Cold Case Romance Book 3) by Cynthia Eden is Saint and Alice’s story. No one know better than Saint what it is like to be accused of murder when you are innocent. However everyone always says they didn’t do it, no matter whether they did or not. So what is a man named Saint in name only to do? Two characters on different sides have tremulous attraction in this story of bringing a murderer to justice. If Alice didn’t do it then who did and why?
An action-packed, steamy romance that will hook you in from the first page. The suspense will keep you page turning while the heat is combustible. Another great addition to the Ice Breaker Cold Case Series. Not just for fans of Cynthia Eden but for all romance suspense readers who love a strong hero and an even stronger heroine.
4.5 Stars An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Ice Cold Saint, the third in the enormously enjoyable Ice Breakers Cold Case series sees bounty hunter and sometime Ice Breaker Saint head to Savannah. When he's asked to investigate Alice aka the black widow. Whose partners seem to disappear around her.
But is that because she kills them? Or because someone is killing them for her?
And from the moment Saint and Alice meet the sparks fly and so do the questions. Which promptly have Saint wondering if he's looking at a killer or a victim.
But there's one thing for certain three men are missing presumably dead, and Alice knows more than she's letting on.
And with intrigue, twists and a heroine who knows illusions and runs a speakeasy at the centre of it. This was a great read. That I couldn't help but devour and I would happily recommend it to others.
I really love the characters in this story. Alice is mysterious but yet so open. I love her wit. I feel her pain. She tries so hard to keep moving forward. She feels so broken. She is fascinating. Saint thinks he is only full of darkness and that he is barely holding on. Neither knows their own strength until they meet. Their chemistry and their connection is absolute. This is my first in this series and I love it. This is definitely a top ten read of the year. There is suspense and action and mystery and twists and turns and things you don't see coming but also things you suspect but can't be quite sure about, until the last pages. I love the assuredness of Saint. I love the way Alice tries to hide. I love her protectiveness of Saint. The sarcasm is quick and to the point. He is not going to let anyone or anything hurt her. I read this in One sitting, I could not put it down. The writing is nice and smooth with good flow and an easiness that holds the attention and makes you hum in satisfaction. The character development is fresh and complete. The scenarios are crafted with thought and care. I immediately one clicked Memphis's story and can not wait to dive in. 5 bright brilliant stars.
Not leaving a rating as I’m only half way through the book and I’ve lost interest, I might come back at some point and retry. I loved the first 2 books but this one just isn’t hitting the spot, and I can’t connect at all with the MC Alice
4.5⭐ 🪄🔪Man I love Alice! The way she keeps confusing people.... Maybe I'm a killer, maybe I'm not, who knows?😂 I just hope she doesn't mellow out before saint. 🪄🔪Honestly I was procrastinating with this book cause I thought it'll be typical alpha male who would be on a mission to tame the wannabe badass female and she'll mellow out thn get betrayed(hate the trope) blah blah. But so far it's not like that and I'm liking it. Alice is not giving it up, more so not flustered at all. She's making saint flustered and unbalanced 😂 Oh I'm liking it verrry much. 🪄🔪I'm not sure whose interrogation I enjoyed more Alice or saint's. They're both savages oh yeah! 🪄🔪It's cute how Memphis thinks Saint is the dangerous one and saint thinks Memphis is the dangerous one. 🪄🔪I love when you can't outsmart the h. 🪄🔪No Alice, the moral of that story is "the people he tries to protect turn out killer themselves." 🪄🔪How saint knew that Tracy was there in Alice's office? Did I miss it? "The intel" needs elaboration. 🪄🔪I swear saint if you betray her after this point...... 🪄🔪Well she's unraveling...... 🪄🔪This is getting very dramatic. 🪄🔪Seriously Logan? You let him blackmail you over this? This was just dumb. They just had to break the friendship🙄 🪄🔪Why would he tell Marcel to inform Alice with his fake plan? What purpose does it serve? 🪄🔪That was dumb Marcel. I hope you're alive. 🪄🔪They're the badass couple of Cynthia Eden. Loved Memphis and Alice. Good to see Elijah. I loved it except some dumb and dramatic sequences.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "ICE COLD SAINT" This story hooked me right from the beginning pills you right into all chaos, suspense, intrigue, angst, secrets, lies, deception, plenty of steamy passion, danger, stalker, murder, twists that you didn't see coming addicting to the end. Saint works for his brother Memphis as a Bounty Hunter as well as Ice Breakers who take on cold cases a client enters his office Tracy Eldridge wanting to hire him to hunt down Alice Shepard known as the Black Widow who killed her brother Donovan & she wants justice. Alice Shepard is fully aware of what people think, say about her killing three of her last lovers but she's never been charged she uses it to her advantage to fill up her speakeasy Abracadbra named after her dead father he was a magician. Saint shows up at Abracadbra to investigate & get close to Alice they have this uncanny connection its like to like, darkness to darkness, they are drawn to one another their humorous banter back & forth I loved it, was witty, funny made you chuckle a few times. I definitely recommend to get this amazing well written story you can't put down, will Saint prove Alice's innocence, will they get a HEA, so many twists your not sure who's guilty or innocent then she throws a surprise at Saint he didn't expect that could change everything so well worth the read it won't disappoint absolutely loved this story. PHENOMINAL MINDBLOWING READ!!!!
She is not what he expected, but is more than he ever thought he would find. Alice Shephard, who rumor has it is responsible for the deaths of her three past love interests. Sebastian “Saint” Black, has been accused of crimes and imprisoned, but was later found to be innocent. When Saint is hired to get evidence against Alice, the case interests him, but not as much as Alice. He says he will take her down and she replies that he will fall in love with her. Who will be right? Alice owns Abracadabra, a club based on her fathers’ years as a Magician. She often worked with her father and now her shadowy reputation has made the club a hit. Get the app, make the request and see if you will be one of the lucky ones given the password for admittance. When Saint learns that Alice has a stalker, he offers her his protection and the sparks fly. He never dreamt that he would find someone who could reach the dark, deep parts of him. The feisty dialog, the passion, and the mystery makes this is a wonderful addition to this outstanding series. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
This is the trird installment in the Ice Breakers series. It's good but not as good as the first two.
Saint is another member of the Ice breakers and is hired to find evidence of some murders. He is investigating Alice who is the prime suspect. He doesn't know that he will fall in love with her. She isn't as tough as she portrays. She has been let down before and now she portrays a tough personna. It's more or less love at first sight with them and Saint will do anything to keep Alice safe from the threats surrounding her. With some deep investigation and perseverence, Saint investigates the allegations against her and is determined to get to the bottom of it all.
She has a stalker who not revealed until much later in the book. Everyone is a suspect and the romance balances the suspense. Alice comes across as being stubborn and at the end of the day will do anything for her Saint and vice versa. There are some mentions of past characters and I find that very refreshing.
It's a good romantic suspense which will keep you on the edge of your seat. I liked it, but not as much as the previous ones and would recommend to anyone interested in this genre.

A third book to which I was a little less attached than the previous ones
This book promised a lot with a potential black widow, a hero with a dark past and explosive sexual tension ! BUT ... I didn't really get attached to Alice (I don't really know why, I had a hard time having empathy for her !) and the romance didn't convince me too much ...
In short, a romance that didn't really convince me but I'm curious to read the next book with Tony !
I've read and thoroughly enjoyed all the books in the Wilde series by Ms. Eden and when I saw she had written something a bit more mysterious I couldn't wait to dive into it and it was everything I hoped it would be. There's suspense, deception, twists and turns galore, as well as some laughter, tears and off the charts chemistry between Saint and Alice. These two have more than a few things in common, the first being accused of murder. Saint was accused of murder years ago and now Alice is facing similar accusations and that's when this story starts making your head spin because you don't know who to trust or who to believe. Lots of deception in this one and that makes for a page-turner! This is the first book I've read in this series and I most definitely will be reading the previous 2 in the Ice Breaker Cold Case series. I'm grateful to have been given an opportunity to read an early copy of this book through NetGalley.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Net Galley of Ice Cold Saint . Wow , this story is absolutely Sensational . It is an interesting and intriguing suspense romance . Sebastian (Saint ) Black is a Bounty hunter and also works with Ice Breakers a group who work together to solve cold cases . Saint is hired to get evidence that Alice Shephard is a serial killer . Tracy Eldridge is convinced Alice has killed three men one being Tracy's own brother Donovan . Saint is curious so he takes the case . Saint arrives at Alice's club in Savannah Georgia Abracadabra . Upon meeting Alice Saint is intrigued and their attraction is immediate . Alice has a lot of secrets and Saint wants to learn them . As they grow closer danger is at every turn . Alice must trust Saint and Saint must trust Alice for them both to stop the threat . This story is spectacular definitely an on the edge read . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
Saint was accused of killing several people. Brought in by his bounty hunter brother. Then his brother got him released because he was innocent. Now he is with Ice Breakers, they reopen cold cases. His new client wants Saint to bring down a woman who has been accused of killing three men, one of them the clients brother. Alice owns a speakeasy that she name Abracadabra after her father a magician. She knows what people think but she could care less. She just wants to run her place and live in peace. When Saint shows up, he totally disrupts her life. Alice tries to convince him to stay away but Saint is determined to find the killer.
This will absolutely have you on the edge of your seat. I did not know who it was and was shocked. Action. Suspense. Sex. I love this story!!!
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Bookfunnel *
Once again Cynthia has managed to hook me from almost the first page in this latest offering Everything isn't has it appears in both who the killer is and the two main characters
Saint is cold and hard accused of a murder and brought in by his own brother who then proved his innocence he has no charm no smooth edges but he is brilliant at his new job at Ice Breakers the business his brother owns that reopens old cases and they usually solve them His latest job is to try to bring in Alice Shephard a suspected black widow responsible for three deaths. But they connection between Saint and Alice is instant and electric and when she saves his life he has to rethink and it starting to point to the fact that Alice has an admirer who is willing to take out anyone who gets close to her can Saint prove her innocence and can they have a future You will have to read to see
This one was honestly just not my favorite. Especially after Memphis’ story. Because Memphis was so DYNAMIC. To the point that he kinda stole Saint’s thunder in his own book.
Which is sad because I really LIKED Saint in Memphis’ book but I feel like he lost all his personality in his own book.
And Alice was fine, but she wasn’t as dark and villainous as she tried to be. I just feel like their chemistry wasn’t nearly as palpable as the couples in the previous two books.
Also are you REALLY trying to convince me that Saint wouldn’t be a dirty talker?!
I still liked the book. And I will say, the plots for the Ive Breaker series are top notch. I’m always finding myself interested in the cold cases they’re investigating.
But I was less interested in Saint and Alice’s romance.
I could wax poetic about this book but I won't. I loved it, Cynthia Eden really can't go wrong. She hasn't yet. Saint and Alice fall into each other the moment they meet, even if there's no trust and plenty of murder between them. Basically, everyone around them, the friends, employees, or enemies, could be the villain of the story. But there isn't just one. Past and present entwine in nightmares and real life. So much mystery and questioning everyone, so much passion, and (failed) restraint. A love story with a black and red background. It was amazing and I cannot wait for more of Cynthia Eden's books, especially in the Ice Breaker series and Wilde Ways as well.
Ok! This story is about Memphis' brother, Saint and Alice. This story was definitely intriguing. Alice was portrayed as a killer and apparently her business thrived on that. It was interesting to find out one of her exes was still alive and obsessed with her. Saint had to prove either she was guilty or innocent. As he got to know her, he realized she was mostly innocent. The ending was very dramatic to find out her ex was still alive and gunning for Saint. So glad this couple found the culprit, took care of him and are now working on their happy ending. FANTASTIC job Cynthia! I would recommend this book!
Ice Cold Saint (Ice Breaker Cold Case Romance #3) by Cynthia Eden Love this series - this is Saint and Alice's ICE BREAKERS story. Sort of enemies to lovers - he is there to prove she is a black widow and she uses the rumors to pack her club. So much angst, mystery, deception, lies and half truths, attraction, laughter, some tears, and plenty of steam to get to a HEA, Reasons I enjoyed this book: Haunting Page-turner Happily Ever After Action-packed Great world building Scary Funny Tragic Wonderful characters Easy-to-read Entertaining Unpredictable Steamy Romantic.
Absolutely LOVED it! Alice is now my go to female lead. Her wit and sarcasm are divine.
I knew I liked Saint from the first time we met him. He grew on me even more.
When he takes on the case to prove Alice is a killer we knew he had every intention of bringing Alice down. He really did, that is until he met her. He still planned on having her locked up if he found evidence that she killed any of the men. He didn't plan on being so attracted to her. To be fair, Alice had no plans on falling for Saint either.
I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the MC’s, Saint & Alice, but I didn’t always feel connected with them as much as I did with the MC’s from the previous books in the series. They had good dialogue and snappy banter. I like how they are a good match for each other.
The plot was very interesting. 3 missing ex’s of Alice and she’s the prime suspect. As her truth is revealed, more questions develop as to who the bad guy is. The concept is different, yet very possible and it kept me guessing. I enjoyed the action and suspense of this book.
