Spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, popularly known as Maharaj ji, believed the highest form of devotion to god was through seva, i.e. service. With notable devotees around the world, including Dr Larry Brilliant and Jeffrey Skroll, he dedicated his entire life to it. A key figure, who possibly played the most important role in his life, and in his mission, was Sri Siddhi Ma. A close devotee of Maharaj ji and considered by many to be a great yogini and saint in her own right, served as his right hand. Jaya Prasada devoted her entire life to Ma and Maharaj, and their beliefs. Initially not a strong believer, she went on to imbibe Maharaj ji's teachings, and with the help and guidance she received from Ma, understood her purpose and found what she believed was missing all her life. Filled with anecdotes and accounts of the godly and supernatural events Prasada saw with her own eyes in the company of such strong, spiritually charged figures, she tells the story of their journey and her own with sensitivity, wit and charm. Enough to turn a non-believer into a believer.
This book is a sacred journey of love, a transmission of truth and humility. The words, energy and love flowed gently. I will purchase a hard copy when it's available as a keepsake. The value of such books, that being us back into alignment with the gentleness of being is priceless.
One of the best reads of my life. It took 10-15 days to complete the book, as it was a bedtime read for me. Those 15 days were like a spiritual journey to me. A wonderful read.
Finished reading this book , it can’t be reviewed , but one has to read it , experience the moments and savour These , while Jaya Prasad narrates unpretentiously her life with great personalities , Neem Karoli Babaji, Siddhi Ma and Jivanti mataji. I didn’t know about this temple until few days ago when I was vacationing in Nainital , and it seems I was destined to go there and experience the divinity of this place . The locals believe , one cant visit this temple Till Hanumanji himself wants a personal audience with a person .
It is located far away from the Hubbub and maddening crowds of Nainital , nestled in the beautiful towering mountains on the banks of Kosi river . The atmosphere is serene and captivating with continuous chanting of Hare Krishna mahamantra , hanuman chalisa and sonorous voice of bells . The temple management painstakingly and humbly disciplines the throngs of devotees visiting this place ,making the experience wonderful . These three personalities are believed to be incarnations of Hanuman ji, Devi Durga and her associate . I wouldn’t have believed it had I not experienced their divine presence myself , which is still beyond my Ken , and I keep reminiscing the same event umpteen times to comprehend it . One has to visit it with faith and Experience the divinity . The book’s narration is lucid and heart warming . A must read .
Having been fortunate enough to have had her darshan many times over the years, like many others, I miss her. So this book is a tremendous boon. As is true with most great saints, Siddhi Ma, never really talked about herself, and over the years, I've heard many apocryphal stories about her origins, but Jaya's authoritative book sets the record straight. Many accounts of Indian saints are hyped up and exaggerated for effect. Not so with Jaya's book. Her accounts are sober and accurate, and yet, every story is suffused with transcendent love. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Amazingly well written book. Jaya Prasada has given vivid descriptions of her company with Sri Siddhi Ma and Neem Karoli baba, life at their ashram, their pilgrimages and their lifestyle. However, the most extra ordinary aspect of this book is her experiences of the supernatural and divine entities (indeed).
The author claims to have come across Mother Ganges personified and Lord Hanuman himself in the book. Her description made me sit up and think- could that have been possible? Is she lying? Is she a fraud? I so want to disbelieve it.
A must read for all those interested in spiritualism and theology.
This book is pure love. Ma was the true disciple of Maharajji and tirelessly served him. She continued her quest after Maharajji took mahasamadhi with devotion, love and utmost sincerity. Deep gratitude to the author for bringing such lovely stories of faith and devotion out in the open since all know about Maharajji but a few know about the true spiritual successors of Maharajji's legacy!
I take delight in reading about the Mystics and Saints of India. There are many gems of spiritual insight and ‘knowing’ revealed by Jaya, during her time spent with Sri Siddhi Ma. I particularly enjoyed Jaya’s recounting the various miracles performed by the remote, ‘hidden’ God Men and Women in various parts of India. A great book to deepen a person’s faith in the path homeward, which is inspired by stories of the ones who have attained oneness.
An excellent read . The compilation is divine, amazing & to the minutest details, which feels like, what you are reading is being visualised by you . Truly blessed to have come across this book & could read it .
The book is so well written with so much detailing & expressions in there ,that while reading the books it feels like the series of events are happening just like in front of you.
Shri Jaya Didi, Thank you for bringing out so much light about Maa’s life & the way you’ve connected all the events so beautifully.
This is a must read book for a much divine experience.
