Although a pre-pandemic 2017 library discard, this book has plenty to recommend it. I wasn't looking for the latest trendy restaurant, I was looking for some history for the country I would be visiting, some ideas for places to go and things to see, and some idea of the changes since I had been to Iceland years earlier. This book fit the bill nicely. The maps are always handy as well.

Really interesting guide to Iceland for those of us who don't know much about it. History, geography, culture - I learned a lot and enjoyed it. I know my visit there will be more meaningful since I read this. Plus it has the usual tourist information. :)

More of an overall information guide less like a standard travel guide.

A great browsing book that taught me new things about my grandparent's original home.
