3.75 book-hero-comes-to-life stars

I really love this concept- a book hero comes to life? Sign me up 🤣

Harper works at a small convenience store and has an abusive ex who won’t leave her alone. She reads books to escape reality (I mean. SAAAAAAME girl 🤣). She dreams of Quinn, the hero of a book author Avery Sinclair wrote (she’s the h from book 1). In her dreams, she encounters him. Every time he comes to see who’s hiding on his ship, she wakes up 😭, so she’s forever frustrated.

On the other side, Quinn, a mercenary, ALSO dreams the same scene. Just as he’s about to grab her, he wakes up. So their dreams never come to fruition.

And then one day, he actually grabs her… and she is shocked AF 😳.

What I liked/loved: possible spoilers
—the concept/world building. Imagine if this actually happened in the books we read??? Oh LAWD. We wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves 🤣. There’s only been a handful of books I’ve read, in my life, that has this storyline, and I luuurved it!!!

—the 🔥. Duh 🤣. Quinn finally gets his hands/claws/long AF tongue on Harper, you bet he’s gonna take advantage 😮‍💨. The way he learns her body is 🥵. He has a unique… um… “sucker” that’s part of his d and it needs to attach SOMEWHERE 👀 it could only go one place 😉. Harper had no idea what was coming 😮‍💨😅 and Quinn was READY 👏🏻 💅

—🥵💦. Lots of that 👈🏻. Quinn really said “hold my army” while he ravaged and learned ever book and cranny, and hidden “nubbin”🔥. I don’t know how Harper didn’t pass out from lack of fluids 🤣. The amount of Os she had got me worried for a second 😰

—the protectiveness. When Harper’s in trouble, Quinn finds a way to get to her ❤️. Gahhh! And he takes care of her too 🥹❤️. No one touches his mate 🤷🏻‍♀️. His claws literally come out 👏🏻

—the side characters. I definitely enjoyed seeing Haden and Avery from book 1 🤣 and ERMAGOD… Kane finding out his human has a small human attached to her and they need to un alive it because it’s obviously defective had me busting up 🤣. I can’t wait to read his book 👀

—Harper running away from his d 🤣. Girl. I’d be running too 🤣😳. The good thing is that Quinn MAKES SURE she’s READY 😮‍💨🔥

—Avery continuing to write 👀. I loved this

What I wanted more of:
—for it to be longer 🤷🏻‍♀️

—world building. We get a brief explanation of HOW the book characters are able to come to life, but I really wanted more details. I did find myself liking this one more than book 1 though (Quinn is not as rough as Haden)

—more of their after 😏. Once the book ends, we get an epilogue, but I wanted more. Like, what do they do? How do they balance their lives? Etc etc

Overall, I really enjoyed this ❤️

This novella specializes in, ott, cheesy alien warrior dominance. A young woman running from an abusive ex, reads romance novels starring a large alien warrior to avoid her life.

I just want to escape reality with my books. It’s safe in there.

Large alien warrior to the rescue. Forget the bump those blue aliens had, this guy has a SUCKER that fits in just the right spot.

“Naughty human,” I say when the little bud emerges. I was right; she was hiding. The thought of my sucker latching onto this nearly has me coming over the fucking floor. I have never latched before.

A filthy fun little smutty story.

A Story that Truly Comes to Life!!

This is the second book in the Mate for the Alien Master series. I really like this trope where characters or a world from a book comes to life.

This novella is about Quin, who was a 'secondary' character in Avery's books. Nobody understands why or how, since Avery isn't writing anymore, but Quin has connected to Harper on Earth, and they have been meeting each other in their dreams.

Oh lawd, and Quin is such a delicious alien that looks like an alien. He's dominating, fierce, and possessive of his little pet. He wants to be her Master forever and can't wait to get her to his world and get his 'hooks' into her.

Life has chewed up and spit poor Harper out. She is barely surviving, definitely not living. The only thing she looks forward to are her nightly dreams of her favorite character Quin. She loves losing herself into his world and wishes she could make that fantasy her reality.

I really liked this crazy little Syfy fantasy story. Quin is a ravager, and wants to do very dirty things to his little pet, Harper. Harper loves the safety that she feels only with her Master Quin, and loves the things that his very exotic alien tongue and anatomy can do to her. Yummy kinky alien smut for the win!! I can't wait for Kane to find the way to get a hold of his human too.

Ravaged is a light hearted, fast-paced, steamy and fun story which I thoroughly enjoyed. I read this not expecting any great depth or huge complexity of plot, so was able to just indulge myself in a hot and well written alien romance. I haven't read book #1 and was able to enjoy, follow and understand this one. I do now want to go back and read the first book now!


Quin and Harper are great characters, though I would have liked to see more of Quin and learn more of his background. However, despite the "relationship" between them feeling rather hurried, the author did still convince me of the depth of their connection and feelings for one another.


I would have been good to have had more of Quin and Harper together, rather than mostly dream based encounters. However I knew I was reading a novella, which always involves a compromise, and that it wasn't going to be able to explore the story in huge depth. So it would be unfair to judge a novella on those properties that make it a novella. Definitely recommended if you want a fun, steamy and quick read.

I’m not one for the whole collar and leash kink but I’d happily let Quin collar me any day lol. Don’t tell my husband.

Harper has had a rough life and finds refuge and a hot alien in her dreams. Reality is a funny thing and Quin finds Harper and brings her into his world.

”You were with me once,” he says, tone low and deadly. “This time, you will not escape me. This time I will claim you in the way that all claims are made. After, there will be no confusion about who you belong to. No one will dare to harm you again. If I see a male with his hands upon you, rest assured, I will kill him.”

The two of them are perfect for each other and the smut in here was fire. Like the first in this series I wish it had been longer!! The plot is unique and I hope she writes more in this world. If you like Sci-Fi romance give this a try!

An absolutely wild, filthy ride from the get go! Ravaged contains everything an alien Romance should have: hot, dominant alien with (cough cough) special equipment and a willing lady that is eager to please her new mate and master. 5 stars!

This is the second book set partly in our contemporary world and partly in an alien universe. Because so many terms weren't explained and characters from the previous book are secondary characters here, I don't think this works as a standalone (or at least it didn't for me). Note: I see that one reviewer mentioned a warning that they should be read in order, but I couldn't find it.

From what I can tell, this series is organized around the First Contact trope: a human woman and an alien "man." Here, we get down-on-her luck Harper and "Ravager" Quin. Both keep dreaming of each other. Soon, they wonder if their dreams can ever be reality...

I enjoyed this novella and recommend it with a few caveats. Though the sex is rough, it's clear that Quin adores his "little human" and everything is consensual. I appreciated the many humorous lines. And, as a fan of all things meta, I enjoyed the self-reflexivity author Avery brings to the story. Note: The "book boyfriend" trope seems to be all the rage right now to the point where Amazon (which has categories for literally everything) has introduced "Romance Fiction Writing Reference." While this is very insta-love and we don't find out much about Quin, I did appreciate the relatively complex narrative, which is part Groundhog Day, part dream cycle (the instantaneous shifts in time and space echo dream logic).

That said, what I did like may not appeal to others who aren't as fond of meta or who prefer clearer transitions. In addition, the worldbuilding was such that I wasn't clear on all terms (I understand vaguely what a communicator and sucker are, but not what they look like), and there were some typos and continuity errors (blue eyes turn to green, for example). Finally, why the dreams/action end when they do is never explained.

4 stars. Secondary character Kane will get the next book. I will read that one, as well as the first, Punished.

Can everyone say unique appendage?

The most important takeaway you need from this review is – hooked peen and sucker. The sucker sucks… well, you can guess.

Human Harper is being harassed by her ex in her real life and encountering an alien in her dreams. Every night, the same dream. The same spaceship. The alien, Quinn, has also been dreaming of her, obsessing over making her his pet. One night, the dream doesn’t end as it always does, and they finally touch. And it is HOT!

This was another delightful quick and sexy read. The s3x scenes were smoking hot with the addition of Quinn's unique peen, and I loved the relationship dynamic between Harper and Quinn.

Who the heck am I talking to? You fellow thirsty bishes have obviously also had the same fantasy that myself and our lovely Harper has had.

Difference is her fantasy became true. If only she could manage to keep ahold of her.

LV lane has created another exciting novella with enough detail and impact to keep my thirsty AF inner smut queen happy.

Hot, tantalizing sex with one very exciting peen that has you practically drooling for more.

I love this series and can't wait to see what she does with Kane

I love this new series. As an avid reader, I get to read about a world where the characters from books from a favorite author's stories step out of the page. It's the best blend of reality and fiction for a reader. I really loved in this book how Harper is obsessed about Ava's books (the fictional author). I laughed because LV seriously nailed it on the head from the reader's perceptive (I've question if an author was different than how their books portrayed them as, etc). This series is fun with how the female character is mostly apart from society, all about their book- loving, introverted ways. The males are blend of sexy, brooding, alien that could literally make you say 'yes, please' if they were to step out from the pages of the books. It's what makes these stories so fun, because they do and these woman who would rather live more in the world of these stories suddenly have to make a decision - keep dreaming of a fantasy life or start living it?

I have a weird obsession with the alien member now, thanks L. V. lol.

This is not my normal read and boy have I been missing out! I can read any book and to say that I haven’t really dove into the sci-fi world like now has me questioning myself! Like why have I waited this long to read you my love!

Anyways, this is the second book in this Erie’s and it left me wanting, needing, and craving more. I need more aliens lol and I have a feeling L. V. is going to be delivering.

I loved how this couple instantly knew they were it for each other. I loved how Harper was so done with the real world that she…whoops, can’t spoil it yet! I will say this, Harper girl, I get you and often feel the same way.

The storyline was perfect and threw a subtle hint that there will be from from the alien world!

And boy am I ready! Super fun, cute and hot AF read!!

This book carry’s on from the first alien master book but can be read as a standalone. The main characters are new and different from the first 2 characters but I love how they all interlink. It’s so different it’s just amazing 🖤

There is a bit more of a back story to Harper which Quinn seriously sorts out 🖤

The spice between these 2 is so frigging hot be ready to change your knickers and feel all sorts of heat 🥵

I loved this story and I’m definitely hooked on alien romance. Can’t wait to read the next installment 🖤

I read the warning that this was best read after having read the first book. And I confess I did not read the first book but read book 2 anyway. And while I am very curious now to read book 1, Punished (and it's lined up in my kindle) I am happy to say I was not lost and it didn't take away from enjoying Quin and Harper's story.

Who hasn't wished they could meet their 'book boyfriend' in their dreams, their very very real dreams. Lucky girl, Harper. This was a quick read but funny, steamy and worthwhile. I get the sense that Avery's story is even funnier and I will enjoy it next, even though I'm reading the books out of order.

Can't wait for Kane's tale!

Short but packed. Harper reads about Quin every night. She dreams about Quin every night. He is not sweet and fuzzy. But he is fiercely protective. And now with her life in upheaval she needs him more than ever.

This is book 2 in a series, which I knew, but order often does not matter. I think in this case it is not 100% necessary, but it would probably be good to read book 1 first.

Quinn and Harper’s story was a witty, sexy good time. I love this authors take on sci fi romance. It’s light hearted but still has a great storyline and a healthy dose of heat. I genuinely LOLd more than once in this one and can’t wait for more from this alternate world.

What an interesting twist! Most of Quin and Harper's story takes place in very, very vivid dreams. But when they finally actually meet, it is instant, intense, and steamy. Although this book was a novella, I felt these two were well connected, compelling, and the connection explosive. Great, fast read.
