Can Trick choose between the love of his life and the sub of his dreams?

Nav can’t count the number of times he has wished he could close his eyes, hand over the reins and let someone take care of him. It’s a dream that none of his exes have been able to fulfill—not that he really understands what he needs.

At least, he doesn’t until he stumbles into a dark alley to get away from the bustling noise on the dance floor where he doesn’t belong. He’s not alone in the alley, and the stranger who gives him everything he’s longing for isn’t a stranger at all but Trick, his gorgeous neighbor who has a body that models would kill for and the softest blue eyes that Nav has ever seen.

Trick has everything he could ever wish for, including his kinky fiancé, Theo, who has been by his side for ten years. So when Trick sets up an intense scene in an alleyway that pushes their boundaries beyond anything he could have imagined, his life seems perfect. But when the alley lights flicker on, he discovers the man against him isn’t his fiancé at all.

One perfect mistake will change their lives forever.

I badly wanted a romance that began with a consensual nonconsent scene gone wrong, and although I had in mind a CNC scene going off the rails between established lovers, I was definitely on board with the mistaken-identity premise here: Trick the dom, MC1, plays the scene thinking that the sub is his lover Theo, but actually it's the other MC, Nav, who resembles Theo, and it's dark, and holy cats does Nav turn out to have been made. for. Trick.

But this was just ... stupid? Trick is beside himself over his "rape" of Nav even though he repeatedly checked in during the CNC scene and Nav was more than enthusiastic. As for Nav, he seems to know less than, say, a casual reader of Cosmo about kink. There's a whole rigmarole during the initial scene about what Nav's safeword is, and Nav takes forever to come up with ...

... wait for it ...

... red.

I swear to God.

Also, you tell me how a guy who gets around as much as we're told Nav does has somehow failed to notice that he's a complete pain slut. Somebody spanked him once but apparently nobody's ever so much as bitten his neck or twisted a nipple. Where does Nav find all these people who are so terrible at sex?

But okay, the CNC scene was reasonably hot, and then Trick and Nav wind up playing a scene when Trick comes by to provide aftercare (yep, he's cheating), so I figured I'd see where the sex went, at least. There wasn't much in the way of characterization to engage me, though. Nav's character exists mainly to be a Perfect Sub and think about Trick, while Trick's character exists mainly ... fill that in yourself, I can't be bothered to type it out.

Theo is very patient *skims* and Trick and Nav can't stop thinking about each other *skims* and then Theo seems to be getting quietly fed up but agrees that he and Trick will take Nav to this super-excellent kink club they belong to and set him up to have a scene with a dom.

I can't even with how ridiculous the club is. Everyone seems to use their wallet name and scenes have to be played in private rooms (you can leave the door open if you're good with voyeurs) because sexual consent includes the consent of potential viewers.

It's a kink club. Who the hell goes to a kink club in the sincere belief that nothing kinky is going to be happening somewhere in the room? Who the hell wouldn't be bitterly disappointed if it wasn't?

Also, we must ding this club for inconsistency in enforcing its rules, as two naked subs are kneeling in the "public" room, and if that's not a scene being played then it's at least scene-adjacent.

Okay, so then Theo wanders off somewhere in the club, I assume to find someone willing to pay attention to him, poor guy, and Trick introduces Nav to Derreck, a dom who would definitely complain about me not capitalizing the word "dom," as he's clearly very invested in his dommy importance, and they start a flogging scene. Nav quickly hits his limit on pain and is about to safeword out when Trick tells him he has to take the pain for Trick, so Nav takes it, and this was the point at which I nope-badgered out.

I dunno. There is such a thing as doing or accepting something you hate because your top/dom wants it, and getting pleasure by a roundabout "I am pleasing my dom" route. So I can imagine this scene working in a different writer's hands -- A is super hot for B and will take pain he doesn't want from C, because B turns it into something A is doing for him, B. But in this book it felt -- well, in the first instance it felt unrealistic, even by the elastic standard one applies to BDSM in romance novels. Nav is near panic and the safeword is on his lips when Trick steps in, but instantly the scene gets good to him. *sureJan.gif*

What Trick does also struck me as skeevy. I couldn't help feeling that he had pulled a fast one on Nav -- cheated him, in a way, of the absolute right to end the scene. Again, this maybe could have worked if the characterizations and buildup were strong enough to make me believe, really believe, in the powerful connection between Nav and Trick. But that hadn't happened. Over and out.

The mistaken-identity alley scene was the best part of the book. Then I felt sorry for Trick’s fiancé who pretty much got dropped like a hot potato once Trick found someone he felt more sexually compatible with.

There were some things that were more told to the reader than shown, like the development of Trick & Nav’s friendship and then it was like from one chapter to the next they had gone weeks without talking.

The “I love you” moment was too sudden for me. They did not communicate well, Nav kept pushing Trick away bc of his relationship/self worth issues and they needed to build trust with each other to have a successful D/s relationship. I felt Trick was forgiven by Nav way too easily after his big screw up. That was a major safety violation and Nav was pretty naive to not take it more seriously. I was glad Clint at least didn’t let it slide.

I’m not sure why, but I thought this was an established couple that would become a threesome. And it isn’t. So, my brain must have been (wishfully) making things up.

This started off really strong. I like Roth’a writing and Nav seemed interesting.

I think, as the book went on, Nav’s character just went from being this Sad Boy TM who pushed people away before they could push him away to… a sub that would do anything for Trick.

I thought there’d be something about Nav’s art… but, it mentioned he painted once, had Trick admire a painting that was likely Nav’s… and then never mentioned it again.

I think realizing that this wasn’t going to be MMM was disappointing. Like, Theo just existed as a plot device. He existed so Trick could mistake Nav for Theo. He existed so Trick could feel bad for a bit. But when it’s revealed that Theo and Trick really were an unsuited Dom/sub pairing, that both were just trying to appease the other , *for a decade*… and that Trick didn’t even love Theo, he just proposed to him because of a painting.

Like…. Could we have not just had a random sub that ghosted on Trick for a CNC scene they had arranged? Because I kinda got the ick for Trick after his painting realization.

But I also felt, for a season Dom, he sure did fuck up big time. And there were fuck up that were acknowledged, but I just was so annoyed that this super experienced Dom knows what a greenhorn Nav is to BDSM. And even leaving him alone in an alley after an intense scene, not discussing limits, or really discussing anything, giving undue punishment that wasn’t negotiated, stepping out after a scene gone bad…

He then tells Nav to go research and let get back to Trick on his soft and hard limits. Like, you are going to trust the interest to inform him on kinks and limits? You aren’t even going to be like, “here’s some informative, trustworthy resources. Read these and then go over this check list”. Like, really? Imagine Nav going to Reddit or urban dictionary to read about kinks for his limits.

And then the book ended mid scene. I’m not a fan of epilogues, so the lack of one wasn’t an issue… but just literally ending in the middle of a scene… a scene scene. Hmm. Interesting choice, I guess.

I liked the CNC, the chastity and the sex toys. I’m not a fan of degradation. I’m more a praise fan. So, the kinks were kinda hit or miss for me in this one.

Also, speaking of ick, calling Derreck’s skin “caramel”. Please stop comparing POC’s skin to food.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4.5 stars

Kinked Up is the first book in the It’s a Kink Thing series, and it’s on the heavier side of BDSM. Nav and Trick are both into pain play — whips, crops, and belts used liberally — as well as humiliation and degradation, with Nav being called slut more than he’s called by his name and, of course, consensual non-consent. If this isn’t something you feel comfortable reading, you’re going to want to avoid this book, but I would like to say that the relationship between Nav and Trick is a loving and consenting one between two adults, with safe words and aftercare. (Trick, during scenes, asks multiples times what Nav’s color is — red, yellow, green).

Kinked Up was seriously good, dark and gritty. Some serious triggers, so be warned. The initial alley encounter between Trick and Nav was seriously fantastic, explosive, serious chemistry! The story was an emotional roller coaster ride for me. No sweets/fluff for us, all heat, hot and steamy, spicy. Trick is a Dom; he has a relationship with a sub/fiancée. Nav doesn’t believe anyone would want him. He’s learned to close off his emotions. He’s always lacked the true D/s relationship. Overall, this was seriously fantastic!! I literally couldn’t stop reading it. Well written with great pacing that hooked me!

I am so glad that I asked the author for an arc copy of this.
Dark, gritty, zero fluff and some triggers so it won't be for everyone but I loved it.
CW consensual non consent. Pain play. Degradation. Cheating (though accidental initially.
As someone else said, the first scene that Trick and Nav do in the alley will live in my head rent free. Wow, that was something else and it set the tone for the rest of the book.
There's a lot of kink involved but written largely with limits set, it also shows what happens when they aren't.
I don't think I have words for how much I enjoyed this and I can't wait for Derreck's book!

That was the hottest first scene I’ve ever read. I think I am against the general population here in that I don’t feel like the cheating stayed accidental on Tricks part. The scene between Trick, Nav and Derreck in addition to the emotional cheating were beyond what I enjoy reading. There is a lot of angst on both sides, but after they get together it’s sweet how Nav finally accepts his feelings. I really enjoyed the smexy scenes and the D/S aspect of their relationship, but this was definitely not my favorite book this year.

Okay, I'm not giving anything away by saying this starts out as kind of cheating, since it's very explicitly stated in the blurb. However, kudos to the author...I won't read cheating, I'm not an "angsty" read kind of person, but this was planned out and written so well, that I never felt that it was cheating. That was a very hard line to walk, and this author managed to do it, and I can't say enough about the creativity of it. Also...that scene...holy hotness! I've not read a lot of consensual non-consent before but this was also done very well. It was clear that it was exactly what Nav needed, and Trick planned it down to the last detail, but didn't take into account Nav walking into the alley instead of Theo.

Anyway, on to the rest of the story. This could have easily turned into a love triangle. Trick "accidentally" cheats on his boyfriend, and is "caught". He feels bad, and tries to make it all up to him. Meanwhile, it seemed that Theo just didn't care, while Trick did as much as he could to make it work...all while falling in love with Nav and not really knowing what to do about that. Trick's personality between his everyday, walking down the street one and his Dom one...very, very different. And it worked so well!

Nav was a self-professed slut, never stayed with anyone for longer than a few weeks before he was on to the next one, while Trick was a one man man. Watching them try to navigate their relationship from neighbors to accidental f*cking to friends to more was fascinating. Nav just could not get out of his own way. He never wanted anyone, even his best friend too close, but somehow he had no choice but to let Trick in.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what initially drew me in to grab this book, as it had several things that either I hadn't read much of, or are on my "nope" list...yet, I am 100% glad I did. The author caught me up in this book immediately. I rarely have time to read more than a book, maybe two a week. I did not put this down until I was done in about a day, and I already want to read it again. I don't think I can say anything more except that this book really deserves to have all of the love, even if it normally might not seem to be your cup of tea. Give it a shot, well worth it.

Only my second 5 pieces of eye candy book in 2022. Well done!

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 4
Performance – 4
Story – 3

Wow!

This book really started off with a bang and I’m not sure how I felt about it. I’ve read several books with BDSM but I don’t think I’ve ever read one with SO MUCH humiliation and pain play. I’m not kink shaming – if that’s your jam you won’t be shamed by me – but it was just too much for me. I did finish listening to the audiobook because I agreed to review it and I didn’t dislike it enough to DNF it. When the pain and humiliation play got to be a bit too much for me, I just sped up the audiobook and didn’t pay too close attention to those parts.

This may be a surprise to some but the consensual non-con was fine with me as was the accidental cheating and emotional cheating. Those are things that would be a hard no for me in real life but they don’t bother me in fiction.

I have a few other audiobooks in my library that Shannon Gunn has narrated but this is the first one I’ve listened to. I thought he did a good job with this one. I believe his voice is one that I would like more after I listen to a few more of his audiobooks. Some voices just seem to take a while for me to get used to. This was the case with a few other audiobook performers that are now on my list of favorites. I would definitely listen to more books that he’s narrated.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request by First for Romance; my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Warning: This book is not for everyone!!!

What this book is, is a glorious tribute to TPE (total power exchange). It’s also about self discovery. Both for Trick the Dom and Nav, the sub.

Their first encounter involves a case of mistaken identity that centers around a cnc scene. It’s graphic, powerful, and so gloriously intense. It’s also extremely well written. I was able to fully immerse myself in that alley and it was amazing.

That scene started the roller coaster ride of push and pull between Trick and Nav. There is a lot of angst surrounding their relationship. Nav is engaging in true kink for the first time and there are some hiccups as you would expect. Trick, is making his own discoveries, but it does take awhile for them to happen.

Overall, I found this book to be the perfect example for this type of kink, and how things aren’t necessarily as they seem. I absolutely loved the writing. I can’t stress that enough. If you crave an immersive experience, you’ll love this book.

Yes, there are a few things I didn’t like, but that’s personal preference. Mainly the excessive use of MC first names vs sprinkling in pronouns that would have sufficed. 4.75 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kink Scale rating: 7.5 for possible cheating (depends on your definition), consensual noncon, possible dubcon (depending upon how you interpret the scene), heavy impact play, humiliation kink, predicament bondage, elements of primal play, TPE, orgasm control, and absolute submission.

Now this is how you start a story!!! Trick and Nav’s initial encounter will forever be engraved in my mind! The explosive experience, the insane chemistry, and the fight for perfection was absolutely perfect!

ɴᴀᴠ ʜᴀᴅ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴛʀᴜʟʏ ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛ ʙᴇꜰᴏʀᴇ, ʙᴜᴛ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ʜᴇ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ꜱᴇᴇ ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ ꜱᴛᴀʏɪɴɢ—ꜱᴇᴇ ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴛʀɪᴄᴋ ꜰᴏʀ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴀɴ ᴊᴜꜱᴛ ᴀ ꜱᴇʀɪᴇꜱ ᴏꜰ ᴋɪɴᴋʏ ꜰᴜᴄᴋꜱ ᴀɴᴅ ᴀᴡᴋᴡᴀʀᴅ ᴀᴠᴏɪᴅᴀɴᴄᴇꜱ. ɪᴛ ꜱʜᴏᴜʟᴅ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ʙᴇᴇɴ ꜱᴄᴀʀʏ, ʙᴜᴛ ʜᴇ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ ʙʀɪɴɢ ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴀʀᴇ.

Nav’s history of failed relationships was a perfect setup for Trick. The need for a that connection with a D/s relationship was just what was needed his entire life, getting exactly what was needed from the moment Trick mistakenly came.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙗, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙩.”

The intensity of their connection was what made this story so interesting. The D/s relationship was written with the upmost care, nailing the nail right in with the exact level of care needed when writing this genre. Even when their communication faltered a little, the club Dom stepped in as needed. The “drop” of a Dom is always possible, the aftermath was right on point!

Cannot wait to read the second installment! Especially considering Derreck’d hard limits 🤤

Imagine being caught in a vulnerable moment by your “smoking-hot and totally unreachable neighbor.” He’s everything you’ve ever wanted and yet totally unattainable. Now, what would you do if he was all of a sudden within your grasp?

Kinked Up is the story of Nav and Trick. Nav is a serial dater, to be polite, who really wants nothing to do with love. Trick is the complete opposite. He’s is engaged to the love of his life and his sub. Or is he? Nav and Trick meet again when an elaborate scene that Trick and Theo have planned for months goes awry and instead of being with Theo, Trick scenes with Nav. Only Nav doesn’t know it’s a scene, he thinks it’s the hottest $ex of his life and then he realizes that he’s with his very hot and engaged neighbor.

The rest of this story is for you to consume and consume you will. It was at times hard to read and at other so gripping that I couldn’t turn away. There were points where I wasn’t sure a happy ending could be found and yet the author really found a way to pull this story together. This is my first M.C. Roth book and I’m quite enthusiastic to read the next book in this series. I’ve already added some of her backlist to my Amazon tbr list. 😊

Heavy triggers included.
❤All the emotions in this story I loved.
Nav didn't have the best luck in dating men as they didn't last long. yah as well as losing his apartment key but on this occasion he meets Maverick aka Trick.
Trick was engaged but it didnt stop Nav from perving on some eye candy especially if was the subject from a painting.
Damm I loved the start but a bad situation happens and Trick is in deep dodo with his Theo.. What happens next is some major after care with Trick. I'm speaking in riddles but I don't want to give anything away except Theo's and Trick's relationship may have ended or not. Seriously Theo need to take his blinders off and see what's happening with their relationship after 2 weeks of that scene. Nav was really new to the bdsm aspect but he gets a hard lesson finding he likes pain. Lots of feels with this one for the characters, I was angry at Theo and then later at Trick. They all needed to sit down and talk there feelings instead of hurting each other. Some hard scenes especially near the ending when Trick goes too far in a punishment. Trick's mentor, Clint was not happy with him for what he did.
Includes rough sex, cheating, submission and domination, dual Pov's...

This book grabbed me right from the start. It doesn't deal with countless of pages of inner turmoil, work or other stuff. It just delves straight into the messed up meeting of the two main characters. The rest of the book is devoted to their struggle to finally get together as a couple.
I really loved the way the scenes in this book are described. From the planning to the aftercare, but also about the mistakes that even a very experienced Dom can make and having to deal with that.

I did think that at times we could have used a bit more information about the characters. A bit of fleshing them out I suppose, because at the end I don't really know them better than from the start. Like, what are their hobbies? Friends and family? It does bug me a little bit how easily we move past a relationship of many years to get on with the story. This should have made a huge impact on the person in this relationship, but almost nothing is said about it. However, the focus of this book is not on those kind of details, so I can easily forgive the writer for this as she focuses on the kink.

The ending felt a bit abrupt for me. I would have loved to read a bit more about the main characters after they faced all kinds of troubles, just to ease me out of the story.

Overall, a really great read and I will definitely read the next book as well!

DARK, GRITTY BDSM KINK!

Holy Hotness this book had me glued to my screen from the first chapter till the last!

I never really much cared for the BDSM lifestyle but always found it intriguing and hot after fifty shades among others.... and M.C Roth nailed it- against the wall- while flogging my soul and sending it into subspace for all eternity!

The main character's Nav and Trick's push and pull towards each other added to the angst factor of the storyline not to mention the dark, exciting side of the lifestyle that gets introduced to Nav as he explores his kink while finding his true self and accepts that he is worthy of his Dom's administrations and after- care and most important- his love- no matter how many walls he tries to put up!

This was no marshmallow fluff of kinky bondage with fluffy pink handcuffs but an actual look behind the scenes of this type of lifestyle with a kink, that if not controlled properly can turn very dark and soul destroying....

I look forward with baited breath to the next book of the series!.

For me, this book started as Wow! and just got better. The journey that Trick and Nav undertook getting to know each other held me enthralled from the explosive opening until the end. Trick is a Dom and Nav an unknowing sub until they mistakenly scene together, and there is instant chemistry between them that changes everything. Nav finds a peace he’s never known before and a man who keeps his attention, and Trick finds his other half and what had been missing in his previous relationship.
This is not a sweet and light story by any means, emotions run high and get out of hand, and things turn dark for a beat while they both navigate their way to finding how they fit together, but amidst the kink and heat, they find their truth. The side characters of Derrick and Clint added a lot to the story, and I can’t wait to see what happens next with Derrick.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it if you like kink reads, but agree with others who warn that there are possible triggers for some.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion.

3.75 ⭐ Oof. Those two did play rough!
This is a new kink writer to me & there was a lot of good stuff but the premise is not "nice".

What happens when nothing goes according to plan, relationship wise & kink wise? The Dom in the story screws up, repeatedly & if it was my club, I would have banned him for life. There was nothing SSC or RACK or whatever kind of play ethics you can think of in the beginning of this story. I was uncomfortable several times because it felt too much like abusing a clueless newbie masochist unable to stand his ground or even understand his needs, which is problematic. The extreme jealousy of our not exactly faithful Dom didn't help his case either (🚩🚩🚩).
I can stomach some very hardcore kink & edge play AFTER extensive nego happening. That's not the case here & I guess the final "textbook" scene happens to show us that everyone is back on track...
But I still want to kick "someone" in the balls.😡
I felt sorry for Theo the vanilla BF, who did the good thing by quitting his sadist fiancé. How they even ended up as a couple in the first place will remain a mystery.

Hot, hot, hot!

I picked up this book because I was in the mood for something kinky, no pun intended. And I got it! This book is guaranteed to melt the ereader screen. MC Roth has written a deliciously hot story with lots of kink and it’s not going to be for everyone, but it’s certainly a ride.

Nav knows he wants something, but he’s not sure what exactly. Trick knows what he’s ready to give, but he’s not intending on giving it to Nav…then a mistake happens. I liked the journey these two take. It’s not the average kink story. This one has pain play in it, so it’s not going to be for everyone, as I mentioned. But if that’s your thing or you’re interested in a dark, gritty story, this might be it.

I read this one in one sitting and didn’t want it to end. The story flowed well and kept me engaged throughout. If you’re looking for something hot and a little different, then this might be for you.

This book has some definite parts that might be problematic for some readers. I’m never a fan of @dultery but that’s sort of what happens in the beginning of this book. I say sort of because it’s a matter of mistaken identity. I don’t want to give anything away and I hate reviews that just repeat the plot because that’s not what a review is. This is an intense but ultimately very satisfying story about Nav, Trick and Theo and what happens after this initial incident. I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I love things that are k!nky so I gave it a try. If I could give this more stars then I would because I loved it. As long as you are aware of what you are getting into then I highly recommend this book to you.

I’m reviewing the audio edition of this book. This story contains quite a few triggers such as pain play, degradation, cheating and consensual non-consent plus more I’m sure I’m missing.
Trick is a Dom who has been in a relationship with his fiancee for 10 years and after a giant mistake it was decided the relationship would end. Trick lives across the hall from Nav. Nav is widely known as a player. He has no intention of ever being involved in anything permanent. Events happen that bring everything into question. Nav finds he really has desires he was unaware of and Trick finds he has desires he can’t live without. This story is more than hot and steamy. There is nothing sweet about the activities of the characters. It is strong on BDSM and is a good dark story. The narration by Shannon Gunn is strong.

The scene that kickstarts Trick and Nav's relationship will forever live rent-free in my head.

Nav's failed relationships were all lacking the true D/s factor that he was searching for but never received until a case of mistaken identity with Trick during a scene.

The communication between the two was slightly lacking from the middle towards the end and emotions ran high. A particular scene towards the end leads you to see how Dom "drop" happens and the reactions that follow.

Overall, this was an interesting story with high heat and love that started to bloom. The second story in the series that follows another Dom who participated in a few scenes in Kinked Up also sounds promising.

Wow what a sizzling hot book, the story was written well and the characters were bodacious. The heat, the spiciness was really the start of a emotional rollercoaster ride into the BDSM world. The mistaken identity, and the pain one endured is explored in this story. Trick is a Dom, he has had a relationship with a submissive/fiancee for about ten years all up. Nav, he had learnt to close off his emotions not have feelings for anyone, he doesn't believe anyone would want him so he used to bring people over have fun and say goodbye before going to sleep.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

As Nav entered the dark alley he didn't realize from that moment how his life would change.

It was cold outside in complete darkness, he was slammed into a wall, and then all Nav’s dreams came to fruition..

Trick, has a fiance is also Nav’s good looking neighbour.
He is kind thoughtful and is extremely kinky, it's his thing..

An extremely well-written book about how situations can change .
Bring in solid characters, thoughtfulness , sensuality and a knowledge of who you are, this book has it all,.

Add in domination plus submission, sex club, feelings that grow each time certain guys get together and Oh! so much more!

It’s definitely a kink thing!

This was so different from other books that I have read. From the blurb I thought it may be a mmm so was surprised that it wasn’t. Theo was a bit of a puzzle that I didn’t really understand so I put that aside and just enjoyed Nav and Trick. The book was a bit intense at times and though I enjoyed it, I wish the author had gone a bit into their backgrounds as to why they wanted and needed pain so much. I was surprised at the quick ending just as things were starting to become more clear. I still enjoyed it though and look forward to reading Derricks book next.

I very much enjoyed this one. Very kinky. Lots of consensual non-con kink so be warned. I loved Trick and his different facets. I loved that Nav was who he was and he didn’t apologize for that. I didn’t like all the back and forth pushing each other away type drama. And I wanted more personal details. Like what does Trick do for a living and how old are these men? But otherwise, it was a very good kinky story, I’d call it more erotica than a romance TBH. But it hit the spot for what I was looking for. I would have liked a lot more kink exploration and less relationship drama. I’d give it 4.5 stars tho.

Well, that was abrupt!

Right in the middle of a scene. "Want more from this author?" Then something about different people. I realize Nav and Trick finally got their sh er stuff together, but to end the book that way is almost as bad as a cliffhanger. Good thing I have a kinky imagination. I can play with various scenarios in my head for some time. But, since there was such a build up, and bringing Clint to the scene, I was primed for more, not that very abrupt ending. Disappointing.

Very good characters, good story,
GREAT sex! D/s and sometimes TPE.

The way the top controls the sub, and the way the sub just flies and wants to do everything to make the top happy, is just.. Magical.. Beautiful.. Hot as fuck!

Great dirty talk, a little humiliation, and overall great scenes. The top is very forceful, and the bottom just folds beautifully, and I fucking love consensual non consent, so fucking awesome!

Thank you to the author, it feels like I've been looking for a truly hot erotic book for YEARS, and I finally found a great one!

This was one of the books I hadn't been sure about. Cheating in any form is a hard limit for me. The first time i tried this one, i only made it through maybe the first 3 chapters and gave up. I didn't think this book would be for me.
But, after first reading book 6, then book 2, I thought i'd give this one another try. First off, reading this books in order is better, so don't do what I did. Although each book can be read as a standalone in a way, it's better to read in order since the next book does pick up right where this one left off with a different set of characters.
