Julia has sold her business and moved to a wreck of a place in Cornwall which she needs to repair, when she is approached by a man who tells her he is her brother, and that she has a family she was parted from as a baby. The web of her family has reached across Europe, and has crossed the lines of criminality. She must learn where her loyalties should lie, and who within the new family she can trust, before she can decide if this is something that she can be a part of.
Good read, with an interesting plot and characters (particularly the coincidentally named Amanda Burton (who resembles no likeness to the Northern Ireland actor)), and dynamic between Julia and the man claiming to be her brother. The pacing is well done, too. I hope to read more from Debbie Hewson. Thumbs up
