The right cut, the right style and a dash of love.
James Mason has everything he could ever want—his salon is the most famous in town, and he’s got his health and his best bud, his dog Doob. But he’s lonely. James has a knack for pairing everyone up, except himself. He’s been interested in Paul, the sweet man who helps at the salon, but will Paul be interested in him, too? Then there’s the elusive JP Henderson, the owner of the salon building. James has created an image in his mind that this man could be the one.
Jonathan Paul Henderson has lusted after James since the moment he met him. James acts unaffected by wealth and seems drawn to character. He’s adorable, funny and welcoming, too. He also doesn’t seem to mind that Paul wears makeup. Paul feels the connection and knows he wants this man, but will James still accept him after he finds out the truth—that Paul’s his landlord?
Two men, one truth and so much attraction they burn up the sheets. Is theirs a love for now or one meant to last?

Embracing James unfortunately didn't embrace me. I was really looking forward to reading this, the characters intrigued me so I dove right in! As I expected I absolutely loved the characters themselves; James, Doob and Paul were all great. I really appreciated the author having both the men wear makeup but in different ways/forms. I thought that was really unique and interesting.
What I had a issue with is there were times where one character would be talking and the wrong name would be used, and it's not a huge deal but it did throw me out of the story. My other issue was things felt really rushed with them, and then their exes were constantly brought up and then the topic was glossed over. The writing was building up to this huge scene with James's ex and then there wasn't really anything that happened. Yes, he showed up at the salon and tried to have someone else take Doob but nothing major.
These guys pretended to be in a relationship then they decide the day or so after to be in a real one, then they're saying "I love you's". I just couldn't really get behind this story but maybe you can. I still recommend this book cause this might be your 5 star read, it just wasn't mine.
*I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.*
It is with mixed emotions that I read the last in a series I’ve enjoyed and Embracing James by Megan Slayer is that book. I figured out James would be the last guy in the Love Me Do series to find his man and he was. While the identity issue is resolved quickly, James and Paul, his landlord/salon help, keep falling over their exes, which I guess is a major drawback to living in a small town. The story deals with the need to be true to oneself in order to move forward emotionally and that is well done without hitting the reader over the head with the point. Many of the books in this series have had an animal character and the reader met Doob back in the first book. He too finds his HEA with James and Paul. This is one of those stories that puts a smile on your face. I received a copy of Embracing James by Megan Slayer from Pride Publishing and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Embracing James is the last book in the Love Me Do series and was fantastic! I was so excited to see James got his own story. I’ve been impatiently waiting for it! I loved James and Paul but especially Doob!! James owns the salon and has a penchant for being a matchmaker. Paul helps out at the salon. Both are interested in each other. Some of the story dealt with ex’s and being true to yourself. Some of the story felt a little rushed for me. Overall, I loved it! I was so happy for James to get his HEA. Nice pacing that kept me engaged.
