"Across Time is my Top Read of 2019, hands down, no questions asked."—Amazon Best-Selling Author Maria Luis
**
In a dangerous time before her own...a dangerous attraction. Amelie Besson is on the cusp of attaining the life she’s dreamed of—until she finds herself stuck in pre-war France, fifty years before her time. The country is about to be under German rule, but her most immediate problem is Henri Durand, the arrogant and infuriatingly handsome vineyard owner upon whom her survival depends. The fiercely protective Henri challenges everything Amelie holds true—particularly her hatred of the gift that brought her there in the first place. As the bond between them grows, Amelie will begin to wonder if the life she’s returning to is actually the one she wants, and if her connection to Henri might be strong enough to surmount any obstacle…even time itself.
*Across Time is Book Three in the Parallel Series and ends in a cliffhanger.

✨Audio Review✨
Oh. My. Heart. Across Time by Elizabeth O’Roark is an emotional and swoony time traveling romance that will pull at your heart strings in all the best ways. This is book 1 of Sarah and Henri’s intense, meant-to-be passionate romance, and will leave you longing for so much more. I read this book years ago, but getting to experience their love story again in audio is a GAME CHANGER!

Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East perform this audiobook in duet-style narration, and when I tell you how perfect these two are as Sarah and Henri….I mean it! Samantha’s heartfelt passion for this book shown bright in her performance, capturing Sarah’s sassy persona and fervent love for Henri that was simply addictive. Samantha’s transitions from Marie’s light, airy French accent to Sarah’s embolden American accent was seamless, and stunning! Shane’s warm, inviting British accent embodied all things Henri making this man so charming and irresistible. Both Samantha and Shane were spot on with the slow simmering heat between Sarah and Henry creating just the right amount of tension, lust, and love.

Overall, I loved this book! If you are a fan of a time traveling romance with a grumpy vineyard owner, a feisty “little thief,” the Paris countryside in 1938, farm life, meddling sisters, mystery, prophesies, famous French restaurants, discovering truths, he stands up for her, facing your fears, slow burn steam, danger, and a cliffhanger ending that will leave you needing more, then you will love the beginning of Sarah and Henri’s love story. I need Across Eternity now!

Amazing Story & Narration🎧Fascinating & Heartfelt!

Across Time
The Parallel Series
By: Elle O’Roark
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Shane East

Elle O’Roark does it again and pens another winning novel, a time-travel historical romance like no other and one that will captivate your attention and tug at your heartstrings the entire time. “Across Time” is the start of Amelie’s and Henri’s story, and it is a fascinating start with an ending that leaves you wanting more. Amelie has a gift, she can time travel and her late sister spoke to her in her dreams, and she needs save someone back in 1935. Despite not being very good at time traveling, she gets to where she intended, back in 1935, pre-war France, landing in a barn on Henri Durand’s property, who finds her and holds her at gunpoint. These two were like oil and vinegar, bonking heads from the moment they met, and it was just great to watch, even his sister being a refereeing at first but then intentionally putting them together, because she saw what they did not, that they were each other’s soulmate. This is an intriguing, multi-layered story and how it all played out, with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, some mystery, twists and turns, and a slow burn romance. Like the first two books of the series, the writing, plot, world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Elle O’Roark, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what happens next and where you take these wonderful characters.

🎧📚🎧 Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East did an amazing job bringing portraying these characters, giving each a voice that was fitting, accents and all. I loved how they took each role and owned it, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Ms. Brentmoor as Amelie was perfection, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her witty sass to her fierceness, and she was just as amazing as Marie, with a gorgeous accent. East nailed it as Henri, showcasing his personality to a tee. Their pacing and tone were just right for the story and they captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling them all. These two made a fantastic team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that elevated the already amazing story to another level. Thank you for other wonderfully entertaining listen.

I was completely frustrated with the FMC until towards the end (typical of me with this author) but the whole plot was interesting enough. Henri carries the weight of this novel on his shoulders for sure.

4.25/5⭐️

I’m not gonna lie, I was very confused when this book started off with different characters than the first two books. But now that I’m done it, I understand why there’s different characters. This one was different than the others but in a good way! I just regret that I don’t have the physical copy of the next book to start reading right away
