I loved that every word made me feel less alone with how I feel about myself. I read this book in less than a day. I really did feel good after reading this book.
This book contains a lot of helpful advice about overthinking, feeling different emotions and how to put your happiness first and mostly about feeling good and being okay with it when you are not.
I will come back from time to time to read this book again because it sure does make me feel good just like what it says on the cover. We all need books like this as a reminder for us to be kind to ourselves.
Thank you Times Reads for sending me a copy of Feel Good Club: A Guide to Feeling Okay With It When You’re Not in return for an honest review.
I just devoured this book in less than 2 hours. I live in Manchester and watching their business grow from the pandemic to now and this book is awe inspiring. Like visiting Feel Good and seeing their reminders daily on Instagram this book was a breath of fresh air with a sense of a feel good space in which they promote. This book offered me some new learnings while also reminding me of the ones I always tend to forget.
First of all, thank you to @wearefeelgoodclub for providing me a copy of the book along with a fabulous box of goodies! It arrived on my birthday which was perfect 😍
I read this book in less than a day because i just couldn't put it down. It does exactly what it says on the cover - makes you feel good. 🥰
The book contains vital advice for overthinking , recognising and feeling different emotions from guilt to sadness, and how to cope when you are struggling. The advise is concise and each chapter is split in to different sections making it super easy to read. Each chapter has a practical exercise too which is a great motivator to actually start challenging your thoughts. 💭
I definitely recommend picking this up on days you aren't feeling your best and need a little pick me up 🧡
✨️Available to preorder or buy from the 18th of August ✨️
“Is the thought of what could go wrong holding you back from doing something that you love. Have you thought about what could happen if it all went right”.
Listened as an audio. Nice reminders but it felt like the moral to dealing with every feeling/situation/emotion/issue, was to ultimately right it down. Maybe I should do more of this, but also not sure if that’s the solution.
I listened to the book on audible, and I was surprised by the book only being one hour and a half with half an hour of Q&A. The length says to me this is more of a podcast rather than a book.
The book's message is powerful and vital about ‘it's okay not to feel okay.
The reason I would not reread the book is there are a lot of repeated messages in the book, which for a 1:30 book is pretty poor. With the Q&A on audible, I liked the concept, but the execution was lacking. The questions were repeating the book; IMHO could have had better questions; anything that verged of the main topic they stated they would save for another book.
I will consider that I’m not the audience the authors had in mind for the book. I just wanted to offer some feedback.
I’ve been following @wearefeelgoodclub on Instagram for quite some time and it has definitely felt like a little ray of sunshine on my feed, especially during lockdown. I often share their posts because I know for sure they’ve lifted my mood and if it potentially lifts someone else then that’s amazing.
So when I saw that they were writing a book I knew I needed to pick up a copy for myself and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a book full of realistic and helpful advice on how to navigate our lives and our brains wether your in a good place or not. There are chapters about overthinking, comparison, and how to put your happiness first plus a gorgeous note making section all mixed with positive quotes and messages that leave you feeling uplifted.
It really does feel like a hug in a book and one I know I’ll return too over and over again. We all need to look after our mental health and books like this are good reminders to check in and be kind to yourself. I’ve even gifted a copy to a couple of friends, it just feels like the kind of book that everyone will gain something from, I couldn’t recommend it enough.
The Instagram account has been so helpful over lockdown, loved the Feel Good Club space when I visited in Manchester. So I knew I was going to have to read this one when it came out. I feel everyone who practises self-care or cares about their personal growth should read it. My copy is now filled with sticky notes and I am definitely leaving this one on my bedside table for the foreseeable future.
This was literally such a feel good read. Nothing brand new or mind-blowing, just a bunch of nice and lovely reminders about life, overthinking, social media, comparison, feelings, mental health, etc. etc. I listened to the audio book on my new year's day walk and it was wonderful. Listening to Kiera and Aimie was like listening to two friends and it did feel good.
Aimie and Kiera has outlined the best guide to feel good. This is not like how-to guide to feel good, instead it's going through life as it is, and reflect on everything. I'm I am amazed how they are able to relate all this experience within themselves, and it makes it the most useful guide.
This book is wonderful. It's an extended version of their Instagram and a true reflection of how the authors really do want to raise others up and show folk how to be there for themselves. It's not a self-help book. More of a grounding exercise in remembering what it is to be human.
