Culinomancer
A thousand years after the death of King Merlin and Queen Morgana, the Kingdom of Avalon has grown and prospered throughout Europe. A magical kingdom ruled by wizards and thriving with magical marvels other nations can only dream of.
At the centre of the kingdom, the University of New Camelot stands. Taking in one hundred of the best and brightest each year following a gruelling exam that only the most talented have any hope of passing, or even surviving. Thousands of applicants each year try their luck, utilising what powers they have from the eight main styles of magic to compete with their peers and become a combat wizard.
For Merle of Valencia, this is a problem. He cannot use any of the eight main schools of magic. He has the ninth style, food magic. The mocked style, the joke style, good only for serving other proper wizards their lunch. No Culinomancer has passed the combat exam in centuries, but Merle intends to break that pattern. He may be considered a joke, but he fully intends to prove that a food wizard can be just as dangerous as any other.

interesting twist with food magic and good story
I loved how MC used food magic in this boom and the elements of chemistry and using the foods properties to the best of his ability. The story itself was very good too though would a little more background info on the whole war going on with the Roman Empire and why they hate magic or the other countries tied into the alliance with the romans.

A good read.
I enjoyed reading this book. It could do with a bit more proof reading. The story and characters were interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.

Very good book
This is a fine light fantasy harem adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like Jang. I anxiously await the sequel.
