I remember that about three years ago, I also stopped at chapter 46/47 because the story was starting to bore me, and now I thought that if I read it again once it’s finished, it might be different, but I was wrong.. I guess this manhwa it’s just not for me.

Father, I Don’t Want this Marriage is another transmigration/regressed manhwa that did it right! I remember seeing this manhwa last 2023 but it was still ongoing at that time so I decided to get back to it once it’s finished! And as expected, it took me quite a while lol. But oh well, better late than never right, *wink.

Father, I Don’t Want this Marriage is a story of a modern Korean woman who transmigrated into the body of the story’s pitiful villainess. After waking up in her body, she worked hard to change the ending wherein the villainess died. While doing so, she found herself confused because the father who was supposed to be cold to the villainess in the story suddenly shows concern and love for her. Did she successfully get rid of her death flag ending this time?

As you can see in my rating above, I ended up loving this manhwa so much! I was actually surprised because I read a few of its chapters before so that already gave me a hint on how this story will go. I guess it was thanks to the amazing story telling plus those informative and usually funny extras each chapter, hehehe.

There’s a lot of plot twists in this manhwa which left me baffled, so I really can’t wait for you to experience it too. This manhwa also didn’t focus on the FL’s villainess past which is understandable because of her circumstances, but you can’t hear any complaints from me because this manhwa gave me some funny banter between the characters, cute graphics and satisfying love not just romantically but also love between family and friends.

As for the characters, aside from the antagonists, I LOVE everyone! The main characters were very likeable while the side characters were chaotic, wahahaha. I love seeing the FL’s growth throughout the story. Her character design looks like a damsel in distress waiting for her prince, but you’ll be surprised by her courage. You can see her struggling one moment then a minute later you’ll be surprised how she stands her ground and fights. I love that she didn’t just sit around despite being told so by her father and lover, but she ended up rolling her sleeves to help. Also, I really love how cute and at the same time lovely she is. Her character design is chef kisses especially in her childhood.

The ML on the other hand surprised me. His character design looks like a tough guy, so I was really expecting a haughty character to pair it up with. But surprise surprise, this black cat of an ML is equally cute and charming, lol. He always says that about himself, especially at times when he is trying to charm the FL to score points, but he really does look cute and charming at times, lol. I love that he listens so well to FL and is not afraid to cry and kneel just to keep her. He is also very straightforward and has a strong mental health despite his tough childhood. I am really glad that he’s a very good ML considering that red flag MLs are quite a fad these days, lol.

Ofcourse I need to mention the father since he’s basically the second ML of this manhwa, lol. Legis (Juvelle’s father) is probably the most loved character in this manhwa and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s most loved even compared to the main characters lol. I believe it was mostly because of his good looks since he looks perfect. I know that there’s no such thing as perfect, but this dude was the exception (believe me, lol). As for me, I didn’t become a fan instantly. I didn’t like how he treated the FL in the past timeline. That's why I am probably one of the few that loves the main character more than Legis, lol. But as I read further, I started to understand his character. I didn’t like his method, but it’s so hard not to cheer for him because his life is somewhat tragic, huhuhu. I don’t want to say more because I might end up spoiling you guys, so I’ll just stop here, hihi.

The side characters were also very fun to read because they all have unique traits that make it easy to get familiarized and relate to. I believe the side characters equally made this manhwa enjoyable.

And lastly, the villains. They really played their roles so well because I keep on burying them alive in my head everytime they appear lol. I’m glad they all got what they deserve in the end.

Btw, this manhwa has many misunderstandings particularly in the first season, which I surprisingly enjoyed lol. I usually hate misunderstanding elements in my story, but this one was surprisingly amusing, lol. It may seem annoying at first, but it’s so hard to resist their funny POVs and facial expressions, lol, so in the end, I have no choice but to enjoy it, wahahaha.

Speaking of facial expressions, I absolutely love the art. The character design fits all the characters perfectly and the creator also makes sure that everything looks stunning however small of a detail we think it may be. Even those dark scenes look gorgeous! I particularly love the dresses. I believe this manhwa is top tier when it comes to dresses and suits. ALL LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. I also love the animal representation of the main characters which appears quite a lot in the story making it more fun and cute for me. I love it so much!

Just like most manhwas, this also has side stories and I love it so much. Uwaaaahhh, it was so good! There’s even some mature chapters which look really good. This manhwa is actually R16 but mind you, those mature chapters (yep, not just one hehehe) doesn’t look lewd at all. Believe me, it was perfection! Aside from the main character’s side story, we also got Legis and Amelia (Juvelle’s mother) chapters in the side story. Although I would also like to see Riche (ML’s sister) and Victor’s chapters in the side story assuming I’m not just the only one thinking that the two of them ended up together, but that final side story I believe was the perfect ending. Huhuhu, it was a happy ending but a bit bittersweet for Legis.

Pheew, that was quite long, wahahaha. I hope my review above convinced you to try this manhwa out because it’s really good. Have fun!

In Summary
If you like men fighting over the heroine, you’ll get it in spades. We’ve got Max versus Overprotective Duke Dad; Max versus Ex-Boyfriend Mikhail, and Max versus Overprotective Dad Round 2. For all the murderous glaring from the guys, these scenes also include plenty of misunderstanding-based comedy, which makes for an entertaining and wholly satisfying volume.

The Review
Max agrees to become Juvelian’s contractual lover, but her scheme immediately brings up a couple of problems. Namely, how to justify a Duke’s daughter meeting a commoner mercenary in the first place. She cooks up a completely fantastical story for her guards, and their reaction to it is hilarious. However, she is forced to deliver more of the truth to her father, and that triggers a completely different but no less entertaining reaction from the Duke. Max, Juvelian, and the Duke are each operating on some level of misunderstanding about the other two characters, and what results is a variation of the Overprotective Father versus Devoted Lover vibe that looks like it will dominate Max and the Duke’s interactions for a while.

By the way, while Juvelian thinks of Max as a sulky, disobedient cat, Max apparently thinks of Juvelian as a helpless white mouse. This volume turns up that metaphor, so if you like seeing Max drawn with cat ears or Juvelian with mouse ears, there’s plenty of it.

Also showing up in this volume is Mikhail, who hasn’t done much since Juvelian dumped him at the beginning of Volume 1. Well, he makes up for it by crashing the exclusive tea party Juvelian got invited to. This arc is fun, and not just because certain characters have matching outfits (which are absolutely charming!). Mikhail versus Max gives us another variation on two men fighting over Juvelian. However, Juvelian also lays down the law – to both Max and Mikhail, and their reactions to this are priceless. At the same time, she manages to make progress on befriending other women her age.

Most of the volume focuses on Juvelian’s personal problems, but in the last chapter, we get a glimpse of the Empire’s political affairs, more details on the hold the Emperor has on the Duke, and the introduction of Max’s scheming stepmother and her daughter. The daughter is the one whose poisoning triggered Juvelian’s BAD END in the novel, and the Princess’s one brief scene makes it clear she’s not on Team Crown Prince. As such, I look forward to seeing how she will figure into the much-altered storyline.

Ahhh qu’est ce que je l’aime ce webtoon! Je suis hyper fan de l’histoire c’est un énorme coup de coeur. Je suis toujours impatiente d’avoir le tome suivant à chaque fois. En plus ici, vu comme le tome précédent se terminait j’avais beaucoup trop hâte de découvrir celui ci. Je n’ai pas été déçu, ce tome était tout simplement génial encore une fois! Il se passe tellement de choses en même temps on ne peut pas s’ennuyer!

Dans ce troisième tome, Juvelian se rappelle de sa vie antérieure et réalise qu’elle s’est réincarnée en la méchante d’un roman et qu’elle a droit à une seconde vie. Elle découvre que son père, qui ne s’intéresse pas sur tout à sa fille, lui prépare un mariage arrangé avec le diabolique prince héritier. Juvelian, impatiente de briser ce mariage, a besoin d’un partenaire pour donner le change à son père, et se démène pour trouver l’homme adéquat avant la fête d’anniversaire de son amie Rosemary.

Comme je viens de le dire, dans ce tome, il se passe beaucoup de choses. Déjà on voit Max et Juvelian passer leur drôle de contrat. Mais ce n’est pas tout. On découvre aussi un peu plus son père, ce qu’il a fait dans le passé. On découvre aussi un peu plus Max. J’aime énormément le personnage de Juvelian. Je la trouve incroyable! Elle ne se laisse pas marcher sur les pieds, elle n’hésite pas à dire les choses, elle n’hésite pas à remettre les autres en place quand il faut. J’ai l’impression que depuis qu’elle côtoie Max, elle est devenu beaucoup plus forte. Elle est exceptionnelle. Et Max, ah ce personnage je l’aime aussi. Surtout qu’ici il se dévoile bien plus. On voit qui il est vraiment au fond de lui et surtout derrière cette carapace et cette image d’homme sans aucune pitié. Vraiment j’adore ce personnage. Il y a plein de petits passages qui m’on bien fait rire, notamment quand Juvelian et Max doivent manger avec le père de cette dernière, c’était si drôle de voir cette joute entre les deux hommes!

Un troisième tome des plus palpitants à lire. Je ne suis jamais déçue de cette histoire, bien au contraire, plus les tomes avancent plus je suis fan de cette histoire. Les personnages sont vraiment géniaux, j’adore continuer de les découvrir comme ça. Je n’ai qu’une hâte : avoir le prochain tome entre les mains. Vivement!

Capítulos: 34 al 50.

Jubel presenta a Max como su amante a sus guardias aksjaj, las caras lo son todo, Geraldine se queja y cuestiona, pero Jubel no cede, amando que Max muestra una docilidad con Jubel, pero a las escoltas los mata con la mirada djajaj, lo presenta a su padre ajsjajjs y amo mucho, Regis lo quiere matar y Max pese al respeto que siente por su maestro, continua con el teatro por Jubel, Regis le hace saber que es a quien más ama y que le dará todo lo que desee, pero no aceptara su relación, Jubel continua confundiendo todo, creyéndo que su padre se opone porque quiere casarla con el príncipe, sin saber que solo está preocupado por su bienestar, Max se opone diciendo que es la preciosa existencia que quiere proteger, su debilidad, waaaaaa, grite, sus enfrentamientos son top ajsjaj, Regis acepta la obediencia de Max por Jubel, lo que lo sorprende, Jubel los manda a reconciliarse, pero Regis lo niega como disupulo y Max no cede, siendo Jubel quien consigue que ambos de dobleguen aksjaj. Jubel asiste a una fiesta de té con Max, encontrándose a Mikhail, quien celoso y negado a que lo olvidara se comporta como idiota y Max actuando todo encantador y protector :3, Mikhail al no obtener las reacciones que quiere de Jubel y verla encantada con Max, lo enfrenta, Max gana fácilmente, Jubel interfiere, preocupandose por Max y dejándole en claro a Mikhail que ya no siente nada por él, pero el mamon no está dispuesto a soltarla, Jube genuinamente preocupada por Max y las consecuencias de su enfrentamiento le prohíbe volver a hacer algo así, al llegar a casa cenan con Regis donde mantienen sus enfrentamientos ajsjaj y aunque Max se debe ir y el palacio convoca a Regis, ambos cancelan todo por tomar el té con Jubel, que consideran más importante :3, los amo, Max acepta que ama a Jubel y aunque Regis no lo duda, igual no lo acepta, el emperador planea mandar a la guerra a Regis, negado a alejarse de su hija, pero la intervención de Max lo salva de ir y va en su lugar, esperando limpiar su reputación, Victor, seguidor y quien se hace pasar por el príncipe continua su papel mientras Max se pone a hacer cartas y enviarlas con una pobrecita ave ajsjaj, sin saber que Jubel le tiene miedo a los animales pequeños, por lo que no la recibe, Jubel prepara una fiesta de té y recibe a sus invitadas junto a su padre, notando por fin los cambios en él, quien tiene recuerdos de como era usado como un arma, sintiéndose en el mismo infierno y teniendo como luz a Jubelian, su razón de vivir, dispuesto a todo por ella, en la fiesta llega Max y las invitadas hablan mal del príncipe, Jubel lo defiende cuando comienzan a pasarse de la raya y Max se relaja, ambos se acercan un poco más y se sienten mejor con la compañía del otro, pero Max parte a la guerra y Jubel se deprime y siente sola sin su presencia, Max comienza a limpiar su nombre y ganar la batalla mientras Regis busca como librarse del emperador, ambos dispuestos a todo por Jubelian amoo.

Dans ce 3eme tome, nous avons la chance de ne pas être concentré sur 1 seul personnage mais de découvrir un peu la vie et/ou le passé de plusieurs d'entre eux !

Juvelian gagne en maturité au fil des tome mais elle est toujours hantée pas son ancienne vie et n'arrive pas totalement à être épanouie. J'aime beaucoup son caractère mais aussi son innocence et sa naïveté face à certains agissements de Max, j'ai trouvé ça très drôle.🥰

On ressent également le combat intérieur de Légis, le père de Juvelian, qui souhaite être libéré du joug de l'empereur mais qui ne peut pas agir comme il le souhaite à cause d'une raison encore inconnue.

Max, quand à lui, est vraiment le personnage qui m'a le plus fait rire. Je pense que c'est lui qui a le plus changé depuis le tome 1, il est totalement sous le charme de Juvelian et ses réactions et dialogues intérieurs sont à mourir de rire 😂. Juvelian le mène à la baguette sans s'en rendre compte et les échanges Max/Légis sont aussi très drôles.

Je prend un grand plaisir à découvrir cette histoire et j'ai hâte d'avoir le tome suivant en ma possession 😍

Chapter 32-48

This is one of the funniest Manwha's I've read in quite a while. The jokes are all quite funny and the plot is both serious and hilarious at the same time. Girlie doesnt want to marry the crown prince so she dates Max (not knowing he's the crown prince). Her father is shook to the core cause he never had the crown prince in mind for his daughter's potential hubby. Poor Max out here trying to fight off alligantions and protecting what little hope he has to ask Juvellian for her hand in marriage as crown prince. The art style is stunning adorable. The last chapter is about Legis' past and how much Juvel means to him, but something has happened to have her so distant from him now. Guilt of something is eating Legis apart and its really heartbreaking to see how he loves his daughter with all he has, but has to stay away to protect her.

it's kind of fluffy, and amusing isekai book you're going to love. the fmc has so many.. and i'm telling you really so so so many misunderstandings but she's so endearing and adorable (the real reason: her father). though she is bit open minded in this season. she finally learned how much her father loves her. yes, her father don't know how to express his feelings. i'm waiting for the moment when he confess everything.

read it if you love isekai and protective father (.. overprotective) and amusing characters. it's my one of my fave isekai novels.. so please read it *heart eyes*

You learn a bit more about the father and how much he loves Juvelian and wants to protect him.
The fact that she doesn't know who Max is and the father knows it is so awesome and makes for so many funny moments and that MAx wants to change now and what he does is so funny sometimes just awesome.I liked how the ex gets one off and I can really recommend the series so far.

Story continues to be pleasant and I enjoy watching the main love interest become a much better human just by being exposed to the MC. I've always felt that good relationships bring out the best in each other, and in this case I think it's doing a good job of it. Great story! Enjoyed the twists and turns throughout the series; though a bit slow to start, there was good character development. The there are parts of the story that are so heartbreaking, and some of the revelations are both so heartbreaking and heart warming. This series definitely had me in the feels.
