When dad can still make these jokes to his 22 year old son and make him laugh, you know it's great. Funny in the best and worst possible ways, New Dad, Same Bad Jokes was absolutely worth reading and I'm already planning to purchase it for every dad I know.
P.S. Mom's could get away with these too! #Momjokesarejustasbad
A quick, fun read filled with dad jokes (some which induced a cackle, others a groan).
“Dad Hack: Ripped diaper tab? Don’t throw the diaper away; just let this moment serve as a reminder that duct tape can solve most problems in life.”
There’s a joke per page to allow the reader to read a new joke each day of the year.
‘A worried new mother consults her friend. “Since I had the baby, I can’t sleep at night. When I’m in the next room, I have this dreadful fear that I won’t hear the baby if he falls out of the crib at night. What should I do?” “Easy,” her friend says. “Just take the carpet off the floor.”’
A nice touch was some scattered words of advice for new dads that were spread throughout the book.
“Dad Hack: Make a little basket of diaper-changing supplies that you can carry around the home with you. It will come in handy when you hear an explosive poo from across the room and you realize that moving your baby might be a hazard worth avoiding.”
Some of the pages did not have jokes per se but a short story intended for the reader to find amusing. These were perhaps my favorite part of the book.
‘“Mom, are bugs good to eat?” asked the boy. “Let’s not talk about such things at the dinner table, son,” his mother replied. After dinner, the mother asked, “Now, baby, what did you want to ask me?” “Oh, nothing,” the boy said. “There was a bug in your soup, but now it’s gone.”’
This book is for anyone who needs a pick-me-up throughout the year or on a single day. New parents and childless parents alike should be able to find amusement in the pages.

When you pick up this book, you will get exactly what you are expecting. It is full of humor that you would expect from a dad joke book. I appreciate the perspective of a new dad and the joke a day. Full of eye rolls and chuckles, it still hit the spot when I was looking for a comedy break. This book was hard to review. Because the jokes were indeed corny and absolutely groan worthy. Yet, that's what the book in indeed aiming for.
I liked the little dad tips and spaces to write milestones and such.It really is a fun gift to give parents to keep them company during those long sleepless nights

Ok I must admit I thought these would be corny but I actually lol-ed out loud to a quite a lot Read them to my hubby and he laughed so hard... True dad indeed.
Best dad joke book I’ve read. And I’ve read a few because I love a good (bad) dad joke! The really cool thing is it does have some tips (slightly funny but still) and journal entries. This is a perfect gift for the dad at a baby shower.
