This was a pretty depressing ending for Noah and Teagan. So much angst. I’m sure we’ll see more of them in Hope’s book. This one went a bit too far in the misery, for me tho. They’d already been through plenty. It gets 3-stars since I was glued to it, but wasn’t happy about it.

Wow what a rollercoaster of feelings.

This was a darker one than the previous ones. It made me cry again, damn it Walsh is good!

In this one Teagan and Noah are up against Noah's enemy, which makes him Teagans enemy too. And then all the heartbreak and pain, sometimes it was to much to handle. I mean I am really glad it's just a book and this didn't happen in real life, things like this nobody deserves! I am very glad they made their way back.

One little thing that was a bit of an irritation: There isn't a epilogue, but maybe that's because there is coming a few other ones. And probably we get to see their life go on in the other their books.

A big extra it was in pov from Teagan, Noah and Hope so I could calm myself down with the whole Jordan thing. In this one we learn more about them and Jordan so I'm very damn glad because my mental health needed that.

Riveting. Heartbreaking. Soul-consuming. Chloe Walsh has done it again!

Chloe Walsh has done it again. She took our perfectly normal, happily beating hearts and broke it in two. This story consumed me. The emotional rollercoaster that is Torment is bittersweet. It's a scary thing. It's like you can't bear to read anymore, but wouldn't dare stop for anything in the world. Be sure to have your Kleenex ready because Chloe writes twists and turns that YOU never see coming. Twists and tragedy that breaks you enough you'll never be the same again.

So many things happening at once I think this series gives Kyle and Lee are run for their money. Just when you think it couldn't get anymore heart-wrenching. Bam. Cue in Chloe's evil laugh. It gets worse. And then you just sit there and think "What the eff did I just read?" For a second there I didn't even think I was gonna make it to the end of the book. It's written so well it almost feels real. I literally LIVED this book. I cried. I died. Hell I didn't think I was gonna be okay. Chloe is an a-hole of epic proportions for doing this to do us. Yet a creative master and genius in her own right for knowing how to get in touch with her readers and keeping them coming back for more.

I also loved Jordan and Hope's story. My heart cried so hard for them too. Lucky as well. Everything was perfect.

It ended so suddenly though. I was expecting more of an ending. Maybe an epilogue. But I guess we'll see more of Noah and Teagan in the next book of the series. I can't wait to see what happens next. So much more to learn about our fav family on Thirteenth Street.

This series had such potential. It just went from bad to worse. The pain they went through was all for nothing.

Teagan was just too weak of a heroine for me to feel any connection with, she was all bark no bite. And I'm not talking about the huge tragedy they went through in this book, I'm talking about every other challenge she had in the entire series. She just cries and run.

The author had no problem getting me to feel the angst and sadness in some of these scenes. But the choices these supposedly strong headed characters, who constantly stated how much they love each other and are connected, made had me questioning if they have a brain at all. Like do they know how to rationalize and have any kind of logical thought process?

On a good note, the author seems to grow with time, because the Tommen series thus far is fucking amazing. I strongly recommend reading that series instead.

Torment is the conclusion to Noah and Teagan's story, but hopefully not the last that we see of them. I cannot get enough of the Carters' and the Messinas'. Chloe Walsh has this ability to write in a way in which the reader feels like they are experiencing everything through the characters' eyes and feeling the emotions that they feel. This book will give you all the feels and Torment is a pretty appropriate title as Noah and Teagan have already endured a lifetime of suffering and pain and continue to do so in this book. The loss they suffer is unimaginable and they will never be the same, but their love for each other is what gives them the strength to keep fighting and finding their way. While it was emotional, I felt like it was a great conclusion to their story, I just wanted a little more at the end. But, as I mentioned, I am hoping for more of them in the future Carter Kids books. What I loved most about this book is that Hope had some chapters. Each one was like a little tease and has me on the edge of my seat for Inevitable. Also, it opened the doors for some great books about Logan, Cam and Lucky (and of course Hope and Jordan). I can't wait!

"You're mine. My wife. I don't want anyone else. I will never want anyone else. And I'll tell you another thing, sweetheart, I will never give up on you. I will never stop loving you. I will never stop fighting for you."

I have no words... This was as the title states complete Torment. It's up there with one of the most traumatising books of Chloe's I have read. HOLY MOLY! Teagan and Noah deserve better than the absolute hell they lived through in this story. My heart is aching for them. I am destroyed.

On a side note, I loved getting more of Hopes POV, and I'm so keen to get more of her story cause it's getting so very interesting.

Ok I seriously love this series and will keep reading the next 2 books to close it out. I think it’s really difficult to extend a story through so many books without it getting repetitive. This one was a little slow and predictable at the beginning but then it got really, really good again. This one covered some seriously tough subjects (the loss of a full term baby for one) and was really emotional.

Unfortunately it seemed like there wasn’t much editing done - entire phrases were repeated, names were wrong, etc. Pretty glaringly obvious errors that should have been caught which is why I only gave this one 3 stars.

I loved being back in this world but the ending felt a bit rushed. I wished there was more development with the ending and less about setting up the next book in the series.

2-3⭐️ I could actually cry right now! Honestly!!
What the actual f*ck was that ending?

Spoilers!

You mean to tell me I had to endure 4 books worth of Taegan‘s & Noah‘s drama and senseless arguments, a traumatic accident, a pregnancy loss, a suic*de attempt by the fmc, their marriage almost completely falling apart because the heroine had severe depression and decided to leave the mmc yet AGAIN and a freaking kidnapping at the 93% mark, only for the series to end like this?

The only reason why I didn’t DNF this series after finishing book 2 was because I needed to see them (FINALLY) happy together after so many obstacles thrown their way.

And after all that, it ended like this? Seriously? Like this?👇😔

________________________________________

It was over.
He was free.
We both were.
That night, we walked away from the Ring of Fire for the final time. Leaving behind many skeletons and secrets, Noah and I walked into our future.
Together.
The End.

I am lost for words!

Chloe, thank goodness you didn’t do the same thing in The Boys of Tommen series because otherwise I would have been traumatized for life.

My 3 stars are for Noah, because that man was a saint! He put up with Teagan’s deranged personality for years and years on end and deserves a medal for that. 😒

No.No. No.

I did not see that coming.

Absolutely. Heartbroken.

That’s what this book is. Heartbreaking. Devastatingly angst ridden.

My heart was in my throat the whole time.
Noah’s POV was worth every word that my eyes absorbed. Painstakingly perfect, I felt every emotion like I was there right a long with both Noah and Teagan.

There’s not much I can say without ruining the plot for you, except everything gets tied up in this one. And we even get a new POV from Hope, in preparation for her story which is next in the series. I’m rooting for Lucky.

The one thing I didn’t enjoy in this book was no epilogue even though I know we’re set to get more of the Messina’s in Hopes story. But it would have been nice to have something, especially as I like to have a little break before starting the next characters story so I’m nit still pining for the first characters. But hey I can let it slide became I thoroughly enjoyed these books and know I’ll get my answers soon! Because I want to hear all about Lucky and his life story and hope to god he wins Hope’s heart !!

oh nothing . just the title explains this book 100%. Just sat in the shower for over an hour sobbing like a baby cuase Jesus Christ life (in and out of books) just isn’t fair sometimes 💔

Loved the book and the trauma, please check your trigger warnings when going into this Becuase your heart will be ripped out of your chest at some point.

I love Noah so much & Teagan .. my poor Teagan I’ve never wanted to hug a fictional character more in my life.

On the plus side the heart break is worth it but damn is it tough

Also I love you lucky.. and (hope) you’re just dumb there’s no other words to explain you & you don’t deserve lucky

I so love ya, I've read so much by you and being re-reads I just didnt get bored. Honestly I'm said my Noah is done, I always loved Kyle so it was such a sweet treat keeping him and Lee in the loop. I bet all of them will continue in the remaining individual stories. Yippee!

This book...wow. It pulled out every single emotion from me. From laughing out loud to bawling my freaking eyes out. I love Noah and Teagan so hard. Noah is perfect, stubborn, protective, all-consuming alpha male hotness...and Teagan, who is just as, if not more stubborn than Noah but she's got a lot of heart and loves her man with every fiber of her being, even though it was trying at times. But this book, the conclusion to their story was the true test to their relationship. It absolutely gutted me and made me cry big, fat ugly tears. The only minor negative I have was that I wished there was an epilogue but I have a feeling that we will be getting many glimpses into Noah and Teagan's future when Chloe writes the other Carter Kid's books. Everything that she writes is pure gold and I am such a huge fan of all her work.

It's been a couple of days and it's never taken me this long to review a book. I still have no idea.
If I had to describe it in one word that word would be Raw.
Raw. Real. Devastating.
This book is incredible. Chloe has written 13 books and she just keeps getting better and better.
I was ready to let Teagan and Noah go, but now I don't feel like I can. Their heartbreak is real. Unbelievably real. I cried my heart out. Chloe has a way of making you feel like the third person in their relationship. What happens to them- you feel it. My heart broke with and for them. I want to know they're going to be okay.
I loved how Chloe included other characters perspective in this book. It set up other characters perfectly. I have been 'shipping Lucky and Hope desperately, knowing there was no way Chloe could redeem Jordan. Spoiler- she does. Now I'm torn :(
And Logan? Heart.Broken.
I need more Teagan and Noah so I hope the abrupt ending was to make way for the door to open again one day.
I need to know what happens to Lucky!
Another 5 star read by Chloe. You won't be disappointed!

Emotional reading.

Teegan and Noah what an emotional rollercoaster they've been on.
This book just ripped my heart out, then reminded my why I bloody love Noah Messina he has proved his love for Thorn throughout this series but this book just cemented what a fantastic Guy he really is.
He has the biggest fight on his hands and it takes everything in him to win it.
I don't want to say anything to spoil but all I will say is just prepare to fall in love with Noah, Jordan and Lucky all over again. I certainly did.
I may have cried but this was a beautiful story and it was worth all the tears.
Can't wait for more on the other characters in this series who deserve their own stories. I feel like we've just scratched the surface with some of them.
