I went into this book expecting an engaging space adventure and it gave me just that. We join Kara on a mission that also ends up testing her emotional strength. She’s clearly matured in the ten years since the previous book but definitely still working through her trauma which was interesting to see how that affected her decisions. As a reader who knows her past, I just want to root for her as she faces the obstacles that are suspicious locals and the greater threat of the Dark Raiders.

And we cannot forget that Tarsk is also back! What a delight. If you need another reason to give the book a try, he is definitely a big one.

What a wonderful book! I was hooked from the first chapter and for me that takes alot. The humour and action was wonderful and I loved the way the characters personalities bounced off of each other. Amber Forbes does a wonderful job crafting a story and an ever expanding world. I loved it so much I bought a few for my family this Christmas!

Highly recommend!
