How soon is too soon to get married? Bri and Dee met, fell in lust, and threw themselves head long into a committed long distance relationship following a vacation fling on a hot Miami night.
For DeeDee it was love at first sight and Bri was just willing to go along for the ride. They moved fast, and though living miles apart was a struggle, the distance only worked in their favor, creating the space for them to grow a bond rooted in friendship and trust.
But their still-budding relationship isn’t without some complications. They were only six months in when DeeDee proposed and it's only been over a year. DeeDee still struggles with sharing all of her truths and trauma and Bri worries, maybe what is still left to learn might be big enough to unravel everything they’ve built one day.
Bri’s love for DeeDee has never wavered, but with their wedding fast approaching, Bri finds herself worrying about the length of their courtship, questioning the strength of their relationship and their future together as a whole.
Is love alone enough to carry a marriage through the good times and the bad? And do they have what it takes to make what they’ve started last forever?
A creative soul, mother of three, wifey, and professional daydreamer, Deja was born and raised in a land of pristine beaches and palm trees called Miami. Her love for all things books started early. At eight, she wrote her first short story on a typewriter her mother gifted her so she’d stop writing on the walls.
Being able to share her stories has always been a dream and today, she writes steamy stories featuring queer and bi-curious women of color in various stages of love and relationships.
She writes strong characters who are unapologetically black, openly discusses trauma and HEAs are not guaranteed.
When she’s not dreaming up alternate universes, she’s hanging out with her little tribe, watching something where the world ends or restaurant hopping.

Though their relationship progressed fast, it's beautiful. Although I know it's not the last book in the series. It's a great progression for the characters and to me reveals them each in a more intimate way. I know it's fiction but I wish love was this easy even with the hard parts and obstacles. It's kinda funny, something Bri wanted SO bad would have been with the wrong person. You gotta ask yourself would you be willing to endure heartbreak with someone you thought you'd spend forever with, to find the person God had waiting on you all this time?
I loved the communication aspect of this story. Not only with just DeeDee and Bri, but also amongst the friends as well. All the insecurities and fears were addressed in this one on then we got a beautiful wedding. Ngl, this story made me so happy. I’m always gonna root for DeeDee and Bri 🩷
I love how this book came together the wedding the love of the characters was on point can't wait for the 4 book and I really hope sunny find what she wants
