Life in Devil’s Orchard has always been a three-ring circus… but did it have to include murder on a witch’s wedding day?
To celebrate their wedding in nutty true Devil’s Orchard fashion, Bobbi and Grant have organized a carnival and invited the whole town. What could possibly go wrong?
Just everything, of course!
Because when one of the spooky decorations in the funhouse turns out to be an actual corpse, Bobbi has to put her wedding on pause. From the drunken clowns and bearded lady to the Senior Ladies Bingo League—everyone’s a suspect.
And when Bobbi’s summoned to the spirit world by her father, she can’t exactly refuse, either. She’s dying to ask him what happened to her mother—which is good, because these magical family secrets could actually kill her…
Bobbi and the gang will need all the help they can get to keep her dream wedding from turning into a real-life nightmare!
Slaying for Keeps is a full-length, hilarious paranormal cozy mystery with enough wisecracks, witchery, wands, weddings, woodland creatures, wraiths and wacky witticisms to satisfy the most discerning readers. (Plus a recipe from the spirit world itself!)
Bobbi and Grant are getting married and they’ve arranged for a carnival to come to town. Someone kills a clown and they have their hands full to get it solved before the wedding. Bobbi goes to find her mother and it was an interesting trip. The killer is a surprise to most and the reason is an old grudge. I’ll be sad when the series is over because the characters in this series are funny, quirky and lovable.
Prob like a 3.5ish.... I struggle with a star rating. It was cute and fun I liked SOME characters. Overall, the plot did not flow for me. It was all over the place and could have been developed into at least separate storylines.
There's a wedding to plan, a mother and father to find, and the murder of a clown to solve, and we are thrust right into all three.
The planning of the wedding was my least favorite part of the story ONLY because I was so focused on the mystery and the meeting with mom and dad. Questions will finally be answered for readers who have followed the journey from the start - not all questions, but most of them.
If you've read the previous 7 books, you'll find this a satisfying read.
