This ship shouldn't be abandoned
ABANDON SHIP is another enjoyable, amusing, and entertaining read in the Love At Sea series. Abby Winters is a jilted bride wanting to have some fun on her "honeymoon" cruise with her bestie, Jazz. Grayson Hamilton is a travel photographer who has grabbed the chance of a lifetime in pursuit of repairing his self-ruined reputation. He's also Abby's brother's best friend.
On boarding the ship, Abby falls into Grayson (in a very humiliating way), and she realizes he the boy, now man, she crushed on during her teen years. Grayson had a crush on Abby too but being his best friend's little sister she was off limits. A decade has gone by since they last saw each other, and the attraction and chemistry are still there. The sexual tension between them is volcanic, and when they finally get together, they waste no time in making up for lost time. Is everything just too good to be true?
While ABANDON SHIP is a romance story, there are plenty of moments that had me laughing out loud. Abby and Jazz are like two girls on Spring Break, nothing is off limits: river tubing, swimming with the dolphins, speed dating, and of course clubbing and plenty of alcohol ... I wanna party with these women. I can't forget to mention the trashing of a certain dress, OMG that was hilarious. Once again Gertrude, our intrepid cruiser, is aboard, along with her awesome humour and sarcasm.
This book was a fun read, sweet and spicy, a touch of drama, but definitely great for a laugh. I can't wait to see what happens on the next cruise.
