Sam has returned to her father after three years, her dream to work at his company as part of his marketing team but he shuts down that fantasy straight away, instead she’s working for the sexist preacher that had ever walked the earth. Chris is everything she could want but although she knows he feels the same chemistry she is feeling he’s pushing her away, but with him not only being her dads best friend and partner he’s also the same age. So when Peter Rudolph starts to pay her attention she goes with it, but is Peter all that makes himself out to be or is there more to this man than meets the eye?
Chris couldn’t believe Sam was none other than his best friend and partners daughter, nor how unbelievably beautiful she is, she’s also forbidden fruit, but when she offers her skills as a secretary to him after learning she needs a job and is losing Shelia his current secretary within a week. Things are going great until Peter starts dating Sam and Chris is finding it harder and harder to hide his jealousy. But there is something else bubbling beneath the surface when Shelia is found dead outside his office, will he be able to find out why and is more danger heading their way?
As expected it’s left on a cliffhanger and I’m certainly intrigued into finding out what happens next. So far an engaging 3.7* read.
Sam is home from college and wanted to work with her father, but he told her that it wasn't happening. Her father has started going to church so she goes with her family. This is a when she meets Chris. Chris is a pastor at the church, and he is drawn to Sam. When Sam overhears that Chris needs someone to help in his office she volunteers to help out. While working there Sam meets another guy and is drawn to him like she is to Chris. However, the other guy makes a move and asks her out. When someone they know is killed things get complicated and Sam isn't sure what's going on. Will she stop seeing the other guy because of his behavior? What will Chris do about his feelings for Sam?
This is the first installment in this series, so it ends on a cliff hanger. This is a good story that will draw you in from the first chapter. This is a well written story.

Samantha “Sam” Parker lives in Los Angeles near her mom. She hasn’t visited her dad in three years. So, she decides to go to Georgia for a visit. She really wants to work at his company, Parker & Jenkins, when she graduates, but he doesn’t want her to. She meets Pastor Chris Jenkins who is also her dad’s business partner. His secretary at the church, Sheila, is quitting so Sam volunteers to take over as his secretary. Chris feels guilty because he likes Sam. He went to college with her dad so is old enough to be her dad plus she works for him.
Sam also feels a connection to Chris but ends up dating Peter, who works for Parker & Jenkins.
What happens when Sheila, Chris’ former secretary is killed? What happens when Sam wants a break from Peter?
There are so many unanswered questions that make me want to read the next book.

Summer Rose has a new series the The Preacher's Secretary. This is the first book of the series. I was sold on this new series. Sam has been trying to hide her body all her life because she has a curvy body. and wants to be see she is without hiding. When she decides to go to church she meets Chris who is a preacher . The chemistry and attraction between them is equal, Chris is immediately crazy about her and her full forms. Will they both give in to it or will they remain at a distance with longing for each other? It's a thrilling story and well worth reading to find out for yourself how Chris and Sam are doing. I'm already looking forward to part 2 of the series.

Story of a girl coming home to her father, find two men she likes and a simple kiss that got her thinking. While a suspicious death that could mean more. I like how she goes to church and as soon as she seen him she couldn't take her eyes off of him. Chris and Samantha has alot of chemistry.
This is the first book in The Preacher’s Secretary, and it is a one that the title grabs you and doesn’t let go until the last page has been turned. Imagine two unlikely people drawn to each other when it should be the total opposite and the journey started with one visit to a church service. OH, LET ME SAY THIS STARTING OUT I HATE CLIFFHANGERS! Okay now that I got that out of my system here, we go Sam hasn’t had it easy trying to walk a tight rope set up for her look this way, talk that way, dress this way etc…. so, she has learned to accept all her curves, she is no longer trying to hide her figure and she doesn’t really care what other think church wasn’t on the plan, yet she found herself sitting front and center when the sexiest man walked out to give the sermon. Christ sexy as all get out pastor there to help walk people through the Christian life but the moment he notice the cute curvy newcomer he can’t keep his eyes off her and no matter how hard he tries or how hard he prays she doesn’t leave his mind, his dreams, or al his thoughts because now she has consumed them and to make matters worse she is now the new secretary working with him every day. She is no better she watched him up there preaching, trying to pay attention to the sermon but keep losing herself in thoughts of him and all on a day she wasn’t supposed to attend services so when she gets the job offer as the secretary for the church working with the man whom she can’t stop thinking or dreaming of him and now she is working so very close with him. The attraction started the moment their eyes met on that day of services, and it doesn’t just go away that magnetic pull is stronger than either of them can contain but will they give in to the pull, will they be okay with their consciences I mean it will bother both of them but is it enough and where are they headed uggggggggg again with the cliffhangers ☹ really?????.

The author has given us an older man/younger woman story that introduces us to the main characters, and we begin to understand how they think. We are pulled into the lives of Pastor Chris and Samantha as she begins working as his secretary. The story leaves us with more questions than answers and since this is part one of the series, it ends with a cliffhanger.

Holy cannoli what a cliffhanger! First Sunday is Book 1 in the new series, The Preacher's Secretary by Summer Rose. I was hooked after the first page. Sam is home from college to spend time with her dad. She doesn't expect the intense spark she feels toward her dad's best friend Chris, who is also his pastor. Wanting a job she is quick to offer herself as Chris's assistant. Add in Peter, a guy she starts spending time with that only puts a strain on her working relationship with Chris. And I will say again, what a cliffhanger! What is Peter up to? Cannot wait for book 2!
I love loved the Mysterious aspect to this Novella. Book 1 I’m sure to be a page turning series. So much more than a romp in the sheets. Working for someone unexpected trying to climb the corporate ladder, Sam is working every angle to get in her Fathers good graces. You will enjoy this book as much as I have if you like mysterious, sexy, office romances. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
