She will win these deadly Wolf Games and prove them all wrong!
Tenacious daughter of Alexia Raine and Neil Bryant, military enforcer Laila Bryant is determined to win the lethal Wolf Challenge Games that pits the best of the best in strategy, strength and resourcefulness. No matter that she’s a smaller and less experienced werewolf than her tall, brawny male competitors. And the fact that she’s a female.
Not that she has anything to prove. Exactly.
Well, except the fact that as a member of the royal alpha family and the Prime General’s daughter everyone in the entire competition believes Laila was only accepted due to political favors and not her expert skills and abilities.
An easy elimination.
Morons, the lot of them. She will win this entire event, along with the coveted invitation to compete in the ultimate Shifter Challenge Trials, then prove them all wrong! Including her ex-boyfriend Master-Sergeant Joel Grant who she was blackmailed into having as her training coach. Because it’s obvious that this sexy-hot wolfman is playing his own hunting game in order to take her down.
ADDISON CARMICHAEL is a Paranormal Romance junkie. Love is a mystical, magical thing to her, and she loves writing and living vicariously through her endless PNR stories. Whether it be alpha male werewolves, fierce dragons, sexy panthers and other shifters, sizzling hot vampires, or illusive sorcerers who will magically make your dreams come true, her imagination is bubbling up several stories after another.
As a literature major, Addison also enjoys weaving classic themes into her books, yet keeping the fun and folklore true to each story and character. While paying strict attention to the tropes of each myth, she also finds unique ways to create new ones in order to make each story as fresh, realistic and plausible as possible.
Addison was born and raised in Southern California and has lived and traveled all over the west coast (and the world). She married the man of her dreams and has two awesome sons, two daughters-of-her-heart, and three grandchildren who are the jewels in her personal crown.
She now lives happily-ever-after with her family (which includes Mollie, her black lab-border collie) in Snohomish, Washington of the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
This is a brand new author to me. I grabbed this as it’s part of the shifter trails collection but it won’t be my last book by her. I loved the mystery and romance.

Part of the royal family, petite military enforcer Laila Bryant’ has to face plenty of doubt over her qualifications for the wolf games, even from her father who insists she be trained by her ex, Master Sargent Joel Grant or she has to withdraw. Laila pouts but grudgingly accepts Joel as a trainer. While training, Laila gains allies, foes and fights a lot with Joel. I so wanted her to grow up! Rating: 3stars
Action packed, empowering for women, good romance without the cringy sex scenes, amazing plot twist at the end, beautiful friendship. Had a few typos but nothing major that will stop you from enjoying the book. I got this because of Julie trettel's panters pride and after reading this I ended up buying ALL of her books. 10/10
